State’s Attorney Braveboy Announces Guilty Verdict in Candace Craig Case

After an eight day trial, a Prince George’s County jury has returned a guilty verdict against 46-year-old Candace Craig.
Craig has been convicted of murdering her 71-year-old mother, Margaret Craig, in May of 2023 after an argument over fraudulent credit card charges. She dismembered Margaret’s body and burned it on a barbecue grill to get rid of it.
In addition to first degree murder, Craig has been convicted of second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and disposing a body in an unauthorized place.
