honestly, when you have been using a camera for 3+ years, you start to find every quality of the camera that sets it apart. and also know how to get past the quirks 😉
Thanks! This is the only time I wish the fp had a non raw 10 bit option, just for the gradients in the skin tone. But still not bad. Thanks for checking it out!
@@RyanBartonGrimley I would be extremely interested in a Sony take on it. It was easy with these film simulations. So I would imagine filtration would be needed on the fx3
This turned out Great Anson. Glad we can finally see it. Great talking at NAB. Keep up the great stuff. You should do the T&O look and see how it can be done ‘well’ in camera. Screw color grading… wait what… jk
Hahaha color grading is overrated 😉 It was definitely great to catch up at NAB. Hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future to catch up again 🫶🏻
It depends on what you are shooting. If it is for online content or something where a mirrorless camera is better for the job, maybe not. But if you’re doing narrative work then I would say yes
Impressive 👏 It never even crossed my mind using the baked in colorsceme from my fp as a base and tweek it🤔…will deffinitly try and use this! Thanks for the great tutorial🫡👍
you know, you try new things when you have got to know a camera for a long period of time lol but I am glad the video was helpful. go and experiment! would love to see what you come up with
Still learning so happy to see this. The 8bit 1080 mode is so crunchy and overly sharp I’m going to attempt this. I couldn’t find where to turn down sharpness. Would be great if I could get it as good as the uhd minus the resolution 😊
I am working on a follow up to this on an in depth walkthrough of color mode customization. not only is it helpful for baked in looks, but also for an alternative to LUT monitoring, since the raw video feed ignores the color modes
It is definite possessed lol I like it for efficiencies but also just for the confidence in the creating process to work out what you are going for without the safety net of grading
Does anyone know of a remote follow focus system that will work with the sigma 24-70 f/2.8. I cant find a system that will work with a lens that doesn't have hard stops.
@@Ansonandco There's a massive difference in quality from CDNG to Internal recording especially with the aggressive noise reduction and sharpness. It looks like smartphone footage. Also the internal should be 10bit instead of just 8bit
@@shueibdahir I definitely agree there is a huge quality difference between raw and not raw. Idk if I would say it’s cellphone quality, but it definitely takes some love dialing the settings in
What color modes should we experiment with next?
I 'm a camera noob and I really love the look and feel of the Sigma Fp...should I pull the trigger and pull the trigger and get it, or stay away?
Man you really know how to get every last inch out the fp. Well done. Your stuff is so good

Great video Sir! Super informative. I love the way you were able to achieve that Hollywood look on camera on the Sigma FP
Thanks Ajay! I am glad you liked the video!

I watched both those vids and I also love this look and.... you nailed it! This looks really great!

Loving the FP videos. I’ve been really considering getting one as of late. Is it a reliable B cam would you say?

FP has an outstanding image 😊 it’s crazy
It really does! I’m shooting more with the non raw codecs just cause I’m pretty happy with the in camera colors
@@Ansonandco i wish they update one day open gate for anamorphic !

Are you able to use the Atomos Ninja Ultra to get the In-color profile from the Sigma FP and use the Pro-Res RAW?
The Atomos converts the signal, and so these will not be baked in with the ninja recorder
Dude, I think your monitor is broken 😉
I never thought about it but this is great way to speed up the filming/editing process sometimes

Any QR code to share for those settings? Please... ;)

Does anyone know of a remote follow focus system that will work with the sigma 24-70 f/2.8. I cant find a system that will work with a lens that doesn't have hard stops.
Are you using the FP? and are you just trying to obtain focus? Or are you doing complex focus pulls?
@@Ansonandco I'm using the fp and want something I can use with a gimbal since the fps autofocus isn't super reliable.
Do you recommend plugins like dehancer or filmconvert?
I will be working with Dehancer in the near future. I will report back once I try it.
Dude did you shoot this on a Rebel t2i?
uh YUP!
@@Ansonandco like t2-why not?
@@naderaboulhosn bro if you still have that camera. We need to make some shit with it! New Joe devo 😉
@@Ansonandco I kinda wish I still had it. Sold it years ago.
Can you recommend me a Cinematic lens under 600 dollars for youtube videos. I have a Canon R10
Do you have an EF to RF adapter?
@@Ansonandco RF
Sorry, I can get an adapter from EF to RF
If you can also recommend me an adapter I would appreciate it. Thank you for all your help
Actually I would check out the sirui nightwalkers if you’re looking for a cinema lens. Maybe the 24 or 35mm. My other pick would be zhongyi optics
The “Hollywood” look is achieved by lighting, but the sigma fp does have a color science wet dream
Sigma FPs in-camera processing looks exceptionally bad. They should give you more control over that processes
How so?
