Happy to see that you didn't take the bait of the future prediction power haha Every "power" in this anime is real but exagerated because, yeah, anime. So I was happy to see that you identified that Akashi is just a extremely observant person so that's why he can predict his oponent's movements
Midorima is honestly one of the side characters that got the most developement throughout the series, I think. At the start he was extramely egocentric, then in his second match against Seirin, after he and his team lost the first one finally learned to cooperate ith his team and now he's even standing up for them ♥ I'm so proud lol
It's only mentioned in the Manga but basically Akashi is REALLY good at reading muscle fiber twitching and the slightest of movements in general, as well as having great predicition skills.
21:25 Fun fact: Midorima once used Kuroko as a lucky item because he needed something that had large, cute round eyes. So it's canon that Midorima thinks Kuroko is cute ❤
Using the roundest eyes he could find =/= finding kuroko "cute".
I've probally rewatched every possible reaction of this show outside of watching it on my own and never have I EVER seen that cup on the car. Thats hilarious
Lmao me 2
I thought it was a taxi sign.
@@5_tokki Honestly could be but its portrayed badly if thats the case. It even looks like it has a damn straw sticking out XD
Miyaji is the sandy haired senpai, Ootsubo is the senpai with your hair, and Kimura is the bald senpai!
Thanks!
Finally Akashi is properly here!
I like this episode because, cool moments aside, it shows why Akashi was the captain of the Generation of miracles' team (and overall its biggest threat) despite Aomine being its ace
In the Manga it's Aomine who says speed means nothing vs Aomine confirming that he can't beat him.
But really, Akashi wasn't the Ace simoly because he didn't switch personalities until after Aomine left, and even then he doesn't try going 1v1 if he doesn't need to, he's still the best at it
09:40 I love this sequence a lot because it showcases how Midorima has actually grown throughout the seasons but also shows how all-rounded his skillset actually is, which is something you barely get to notice because of his shooting skills.
The guy who has the special dribbling technique is Hayama Kotaro, a player on Rakuzan team, not the hardworking dude on Shuutoku and that thing on top of the car is actually the TAXI sign, and it's kinda shiny because it's probably made of metal, so not a watercup XD
ahh I see . Thank you. That would have been funny if it was an actual water bottle
Midorima looks like a carrot with the team uniform 😂
3:40 it's not a water cup. It's the taxi sign on the car's (taxi's) roof.
I've long accepted the fact that this series has some pretty exaggerated and over-the-top moves but then you point out actual athletes that can do some of those moves and damn...so those people actually exist.
Maybe this anime is more grounded in reality than I originally thought 😆
it is! It's slightly exaggerations of reality, but the core of their moves is real. Pretty cool. I didn't expect that from the anime because you actually have to really understand basketball to come up with these moves
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000im so glad to have an actual coach say that cause ive been saying it since I watched KnB. It's exaggerated for sure, but you can see what real moves were taken as inspiration for them.
@@thorkagemob1297 Yeah, it's bascially basketbalk but taken up to 11. The only true fantastical "powers" in the show thus far would probably be Kise's Perfect Copy, Aomine's Formless shots, and Himuro's Mirage Shot.
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 glad you said this bc the mangaka spent years traveling to the states to watch nba games just to make knb what it is today
@@Birthday888 aomine formless shots are legit, the unrealistic part tho is how he shoots them at like a 100% clip.
I’ve been waiting for this episode reaction since the beginning and I am so happy to see your perspective. I was really impressed when couple episodes ago you guessed that Akashi might be good at predicting moves and now seeing you understanding the intent behind his “future seeing” eyes makes me really happy as a lot of people perceive it as some magical power when it is just extreme observation skills. Also, there is a reason behind the colors of his eyes but it will be revealed later in the season. Great video 👍🏽
You might wanna watch and react to diamond no ace too, that anime's back story and character development is crazy. It might one of the best if not the best when it comes to these things
Some guys are so competitive they go away from the team, like the Generation of Miracles - but Midorima is so desperate to win he starts relying on his team. It's beautiful.
Coach coming in clutch with a new episode. I loved watching your reactions and explanations around Akashi, Coach.
Can't wait for you to see what Midorima and Takao has cooked up.
An interesting detail here is also that everyone addresses him as Akashi which is his last name so they are being formal. But Akashi adresses the other players of the GoM specifially by their first names like Tetsuya or Shintaro. Kinda like he looks down on them.
this is really really really important to know to get the full last match experience!!
having you react to this while the playoffs are happening feels like a double treat
I love Jason Williams... *White Chocolate* oh Coach-Sensei that's the reason why he's called the *Emperor* and his VA is also Saiki Kusuo , Trafalgar D. Water Law and Levi Ackerman's VA
Just joined your membership channel lol. I couldn't wait haha. Really like the analysis you do, gives me a different perspective as a guy who never played comp sports. This episode was a banger for sure though.
Haha I completely understand! I'm the same way. I appreciate your excitement for my analysis and perspective.
Ok, so, when I was watching this for the first time and Akashi was introduced, I was rolling my eyes, like "ugh, this kind of character again...". I was not impressed.
Then this episode came along, and I had been warming up a little bit to him... and that elbow pass sealed the deal! It was the move that made me ""fall in love"" with this character! It's.Just.SO.Cool! ...and the music! Chef's kiss!!
He just ended up being one of my top 5 ^^'
Coach, if you like baseball, you would probably love Diamond no Ace/Ace of Diamond. Granted it is a bit of a time sink, with a LOT of episodes, there is a heavy focus on some great elements of sports. It's very big on team building, has a lot of heart and is really heavy on tension. I feel like there's no sports anime that makes you root for the main team like Diamond no Ace. Kuroko is my favorite sports anime, but that one is second on my list, even more than Haikyuu.
Kise can most likely imitate it, you can see the eye when he's using Perfect Copy in his previous match, but we didn't see him actually use the ability
it's kind of a trope honestly, person has some sort of eye powers, they get heterochromia.
it is a simple but distinctive thing to give a character to distinguish them and gets you to focus on their eyes.
kakashi from naruto is a very easy example.
but sometimes there's an extra sometihing for meaning aswell. like with kakashi...
Ahhh next episode... My favorite KnB episode ever and made midorima my favorite Generation of miracle
7:39 sorry to say, but theyre not the same voice actor 😉 Papa is voiced by Subaru Kimura(also voices Todo in JJK and Tendou Satori from Haikyuu!!)
Nebuya is voiced by Takahiro Fujiwara (Kurogiri from My Hero Academia and Pippin from Berserk)
Papa! That's his name. Haha thanks for clarifying the difference between the two actors
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 Also, Nebuya is just a darker skinned Japanese as far as we have been told.
What?? The VA of Papa is the same as Tendou?? X'D
@@anamarf if my google searching is correct, yes he is 😂
@@laurenmm62017 I really can't hear it thought! That's amazing voice acting...!
you ask if Kise can copy Akashi, the shortest answer I can give you is wait and see all that Kise can do on the next semifinals game against Seirin, my favorite game of the whole anime, and also finally, Akashi is fully revealed, he is my favorite character of the series, there is an explanation on why he has eyes of different colors but that is only explained very late on the final game of the anime so you'll have to wait, we still have a final chapter for this game enjoy!
Ankle breaker
Funny how everyone said Akashi’s ability is broken and can’t be used in real life😂
U change my view. My first thought was Akashi have broken superpower among the generation of miracles. But then u point it out i have my 2nd thought.
You should watch nba highlights, playoffs are going on rn. If you’ve never watched basketball, I can see how you’d think this anime is just superpowers, but you should see what these athletes are capable of.
You will understand the meaning of akashis eye color soon!!!!
Akashi would definitely be a serial killer in an alternate timeline lol
33:22 just made me laugh for some reason XD
Idk if its just me but I enjoy watching coach eat. Well I like watching food reactions but nice small advertisement
Thanks! Should I do a Mukbang haha? I try to make the tasting a fun experience where viewers actually feel like they're trying the snacks with me.
🔥🔥🔥
This was a sick episode
yes @@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000
Aaah, I had forgotten that the coach was reacting 'Kuroko no Basket'. 🏀 Sorry 🙏😭.
What about Seirin vs Kaijo
Kise can imitate every generation of miracles member perfectly except Akashi, his is only semi perfect, even with perfect copy+ zone, kise still would lose to Akashi
