It cracks me up seeing people react to Akashi for the first time. Almost everyone is like "what's all the hype for?" and then Akashi does this 😆 he is our Emperor.
Those people who say that Akashi's "ability" unrealistic, just don't understand. U can see it in real life. It's just very high iq game, good handles, also it explains in manga better
Even if it is unrealistic, does it really matter? We have someone who can shooot 100% from the anywhere on the court, someone who can score the ball behind the backboard while spinning and parallel on the ground, someone who's 16 years old and is dunking on three people and bringing down hoops, and someone who can copy all these people just by looking at them. That's not to mention Kuroko who's practically invisible, and can somehow make other people invisible as well. This show is full of unrealism, and that's perfectly okay since that's the premise. The only thing that's different with Akashi is that they added special effects to make his power SEEM more anime.
@@GodKnowsWhatIsInHere u can dunk on 3 people at 16,17 years if u 20cm+ higher, u can see it's on RUclips. USA kids are crazy. Yeah, Midorima's percentage not realistic. But u can score from anywhere on the court, we saw it too. Copy moves it's possible too, when u learn moves, like floater, step back shot or smth, so it's not unrealistic. Then shots behind the backboard and formless shot is possible too, saw it nba, on the streets, everywhere. Kuroko no basket has some unrealistic moments and moves, but it makes this anime better and more beautiful u know. There's no people with lightning in the eyes 😂 So all this stuff a little bit exaggerated. People look too superficially at it. All these effects just makes anime better.
@@GodKnowsWhatIsInHere also they are generation of miracles, the most talented basketball players in generation. U can imagine like, u have never seen this before. Basketball is developing. In Jordan's no one shoot like Curry. The one thing that's really is unrealistic is Kuroko. But all of Kuroko's features have a place to be. He's like a ghost Oh, and I forgot about the MOST UNREALISTIC thing. It's refs. The game Kirisaki-Seirin is really unrealistic
I love Akashi's dribbling that uses balance, these eyes are basically the eyes of a very experienced basketball player who pays a lot of attention to detail and thinks fast, even Akashi plays a lot of Shogi, which is a game of strategy and prediction by the movements of your enemy, we can even say that we have this ability, it just doesn't reach his level, that he has everything to be like that
my favorite quotes from KNB: 1."The Only one who can beat me is me" 2."Lower Your Head" 3."There's no shame in falling down.True shame is to not stand up again"
In the anime they made it seem too much a superpower what Akashi can do, while in the manga it was explained. Akashi can perceive everything about his opponent: body sweat, heartbeat, muscle contraction, etc... and then with all these information he can guess perfectly his opponent's next move. He is extremely perceptive. A couple of details: Akashi is referring to whole GoM, not just Midorima, when he says "even you cannot stand against me" and in the manga the one who says "before his defense, you're not even allowed to move" is Aomine, not Kise. PS: Yes, Akashi can predict even street ball.
I always felt a bit salty because they replaced Aomine with Kise saying that line. These words indicate that Akashi can predict even Aomine's movements, so I'm not sure what happened there.
@@alexleonard2348 Probably because the author had said Aomine is the single most powerful 1vs1 player in the game. Once the manga was finished. Though that was before the last game movie but I think that still stands true. So I assume the director had taken that in to context with the anime production.
@@thewakandankingtchaka5331 this is the first time I'm hearing the author made any statements about the strongest 1v1 player, so I'll definitely look for a proof of that... But it sounds kinda weird. So during the events of season 3 in manga the author thought Aomine can't move in the face of Akashi's defense, but some time later he just said 'nah, Aomine is the strongest" ?... IF it is true the author changed his mind really fast and the reasons for that are unknown. Anyway, weird.
@@alexleonard2348 Keep in mind this is from about 6 years ago? When asked by a reporter who the strongest player is. He simply answered Aomine. But it makes though right? Aomine had never lost and that probably means when aomine says as can't move in the face of akashi's defense he is probably mentioning about others and not himself just as context. If he was though then the fist lost against seirin and the first loss in his life would not have made sense. 'is this what it feels like to loose?'' That line would have no meaning. Furthermore, it was hinted very much so in the flashbacks that Akashi intentionally drove aomine towards his present self all so that he would stunt his growth...
@@thewakandankingtchaka5331 Uh, I actually don't really agree with SPOILERS what you said about Akashi intentionally pushing Aomine to stop his growth. I'm interpreting that situation completely differently. I think Akashi wanted his team to dominate while also saw Aomine's inner struggles. But the desire to win was way stronger than anything for Akashi because of all the pressure, so he decided to go with it even if it meant to destroy Aomine mentally. Anyway that's just my point of view. So moving on, both Akashi and Aomine had this whole "I've never lost in my life" thing. If you remember, when Akashi lost to Seirin he also was like "so this is what defeat feels like" or something like that. So this story is a bit inconsistent when it comes to Akashi and Aomine philosophy... That's how I feel.
loool, my favorite part of this reaction is Gabriel's reaction from 25:24 to 25:30 to Akashi casually walking past the defenders he just dropped. Gabriel putting his hands on his head in total disbelief, gets me every time.
Akashi's ability is not entirely realistic, but logically explained. When a player uses the ability of the "Emperor Eye", he is able to notice the slightest changes in his opponent. This applies to breathing, heartbeat, muscle contractions, the transfer of the fulcrum and other things. With an instant analysis of the game situation with his "eyes", a basketball player is able to predict the actions of his opponent, thereby taking measures to interrupt the attack in the very initial step.
The moment I have been waiting for has come! It is Akashi’s time to shine now! You’ve seen nothing yet! I am not planning to spoil anything, no worries! But keep the hype! Thanks for the reaction!
Hahah in the intro you guys were still debating who was better, but the Emperor is like, Hi I'm here now. Also a number of eps ago when they first showed the uncrowned kings in silhouettes, you made a comment it looked like they were all on the same team.👍
They just over exaggerate the crossover and anklebreaks akashi does, but the logic and the explanation is all there, just made it extra haha. Loved Ur reaction as the emperor finally awakens !! 🔥
Simply he si observant and really inteligent . He uses what he sees in the Court, every small detail, to predict what his opponent will do. They just exagerate it saying he sees the future
he wouldnt tho esp not in a 1v1. knowing fujimaki im sure it would end up in a draw every time but by comparing their basketball skills aomine is the strongest, and i love them both equally
I've been waiting on this lmao, The emperor is here. The emperor eye is just really good observation. In the manga, he can see muscle movements, sweat, heart rhythm etc that allow him to predict people, the anime left that out.
Akashi is practically an updated version of Kuroko. He has everything that Kuroko doesn't. In episode 1, Riko after seeing Kuroko's stats said that all his muscles almost reached it's limit. He can't improve. Kagami in Ep 1 thought that there were excellent short players who excelled at skills. Kuroko has none. What he has is only the power of observant. He likes to observe people. Akashi is also a short player. But he has everything that Kuroko always wished for: body potentials and skills. He can also observe people naturally, not by practicing. Another player with the power of observance is Kise, of course. And Kise has all the body potentials to back up his eyes. He has height, power, speed, jump power, everything.
Our Emperor is here as we are but peasants that have to bow down in his presence! Akashi's ability is like the perfect Eyes level Like, Eagle Eye is the weakest and Akashi's the strongest. In summary, Emperor Eye is just hella precise vision, Akashi uses the information he receives from his eye to read his opponent's movement. If I had to compare, Akashi's Emperor Eyes leans more to "Byakugan" than Sharigan. Shutoku is the homies team. Have your back even for silly things. It's pretty telling how much of a homies they are when they can make someone like our Tsundere Carrot Midorima vouche for them with 100% honesty. Hoooo boy I am super giddy for next ep :D
The thing with Akashi's emperor eye is his fast reaction to the players stance changes in each act(dribble, shoots, pass, fakes, pace...), every stance the players take can reveal their next action, that can be shoot or even the direction of passes and dribbles. This is why Akashi don't need to be fast, It's not about being faster than the opponent but It's about knowing their next move. Akashi's emperor eye is all about that, they are common eyes with Akashi perception, there is no magic or super power about it. Personally I think the most unrealistic thing about it It's Akashi fast reaction to stance changes, depending on what opponent you play, that change can only be noticed in a milisecond fraction. The concept is real, the execution not much. Anime fail to explain that. (Sorry for bad english)
25:44, no offense but even though he's 5'8 and 15 years old, if you guys were to triple team him, he would drop all 3 of you and if any of you tried to grab his ankle, he would proceed to stomp your hand and break all of your fingers
Is not like he sees the future, more like he just watch their body and kinda use that to predict it. Like in mma, capoeira, box, etc. That shit is real
In the manga there was an extra bit where each character named their favorite NBA player, most likely who the author based them on.
