I want to try and explain what they meant: When you score a hat trick, even in a losing effort, there's a strong sense of personal achievement and validation. Scoring three goals is a significant accomplishment, showcasing your individual skill and impact on the game. It can feel deeply satisfying because it’s a clear and tangible contribution that reflects your ability as a player. On the other hand, assisting in a 1-0 win is important and valuable for the team, but it might not carry the same level of personal gratification. The assist is less direct in terms of individual recognition, and while the team wins, the personal sense of achievement might not be as pronounced as scoring three goals.Ultimately, the feeling comes down to the balance between personal success and team success. Scoring multiple goals might provide a stronger sense of personal fulfillment, even if the team doesn’t win, because it shows your effectiveness as a player on the field. It's hard to explain, it's a feeling you can't buy. Scoring a hat trick, especially in a high-stakes match, gives you an incredible rush and a sense of accomplishment that’s hard to replicate. Even if the team loses, the personal pride and the adrenaline from such a performance can be unmatched. It's a unique experience, one that comes from knowing you've made a significant mark on the game. This kind of personal achievement and the emotional high it brings is something money can't buy.

Fun fact: In 2022, the anime of Blue Lock aired a couple of months before the World Cup. Japan changed its style of selecting player and gameplay compared to previous competitions (not like in Blue Lock, but in smaller way). The change has its result shown in that World Cup, where Japan defeated Spain and Germany in the group stage to take the first place. When that happen, Blue Lock become trending as those results were called the "Blue Lock effect" and the image of Ego become trending online as if he's plan was working. Also that the mangaka of Blue Lock helped Adidas to promote the jersey and help the team. With players, they are real. The only player that is fake is Noel Noa, but it is inspired by a real player. Also, they changed the names of some teams names due to copywrite at least in the English sub. In Spain and Latin America sub, they put the real name of the team but I will add the name of the team in the comments for you. There will be more references to some players but they probably will change their look just a bit unlike in the manga. And yes, the mangaka and the illustrator did a horror manga before.

34:36 this is actually spot on. before making Blue Lock, this was the mangaka behind 'As the God's Will', a horror manga that was popular enough to get a live action movie.
Haven't watched the Bluelock anime in a while but the manga is showing the name of each player EVERY chapter... So even 200 chapters in, the manga will show the name of the players the first time they show up in each chapter
very hyped about you reacting to Blue Lock (Ao Ashi would also be a good next football series) funny to see people discovering Blue Lock seing things in a very different way than when you're used to the values/moral of how things are presented in Blue Lock (sorry trying to not spoil anything)
i hope you check run with the wind as the next series its made by the same studio as kuroko and haikyuu and its a very great show about comradeship and motivation to be an athlete
Honestly, if this show had come out when I was like 11/12 it probably would've made me genuinely try to be an athlete. I loved playing football, but never really had that strong a drive to win. If anything I just liked shutting other people down. But Blue Lock makes me genuinely wonder what the limits of my ability are and makes me want to try. Amazing show.
When blue lock started it never catched my eye, but i knew it was the best produced sport show after haikyuu, then i thought the only way i can watch blue lock is with coach donny...well this day finally came, lets go man
19:56 This is what happened in the 2022 world cup. Keeper saved the last ball when in another universe if he passed it France could have won 4-3. Ego matters situationally
The author of the Origal manga (Kaneshiro Muneyuki) did in fact write Horror Manga (Kamisama no Iutoori) among others, one of which is a favourite of mine Jagaaaaaan. Always enjoyed your videos. Started watching back when you were reacting to Haikyuu at first (Haven't even finished your reaction to season two, even though I finished the manga and watch the movie in theatres); colour me delighted at how much longer your intro is and that I have the entirety of Kurko no Basket to rewatch alongside you. Also, you analysis is so much better; it was always great for Haikyuu, but it even in a different sport by different production staff and source material, you give a fresh eye that mixes the freshness of the unfamiliar, and the expertise of the veteran. You remind me why I enjoy reactions like these so much; I love when people pause and go back and explain what they see, providing insightful and subjective comments (I really didn't realise how much horror aesthetic it had till you pointed it out for example). Can't wait for the next and the rest, mayhaps even Diamond No Ace or Slam Dunk in the future. Stay Blessed
The one thing I always tell people who's going into Blue Lock is to not think of it as a sports anime. It's an action anime where people kick the ball so it's best not to assume you'll get the most realistic depiction of the sport. It's a fun show once you take that veil off though
I’m excited to see you react to Blue Lock since it contrasts other sports anime in how it focuses on individual play. Another great sports anime that does something similar is Chihayafuru which is about the Japanese game competitive karuta. In competitive karuta team matches are played 5v5 with the team that wins a majority of 5 individual matches winning the match. An interesting saying from the story is “Team matches are individual matches and individual matches are team matches” which I do think holds true in my experience of playing the game.
The reason the character has green aura is it had something to do with his specialty so I won't say it since it's kinda a spoiler, but the reason it's called blue lock is because blue is referencing to the blue samurai which is what Japan national team is called and their jersey color is blue and lock is obviously how they're locked up and isn't allowed to go home, and sometimes the characters called the place blue prison
The original manga makes him say ''F*ck off'' in english but I guess they thought that was too much for a show aimed at teens on TV so they changed it to ''lock off'' referencing the place they're in, Blue Lock. edit: I was about to comment this but RUclips made me edit it because I said fck, LOL
Oh Coach! You gonna enjoy this animation and story! The animation tops both Haikyuu and Kuroko as the story progresses (in my opinion). Great pick for reactions 👌👌
As a striker, this anime helped me more than Haikyuu although I watched Haikyuu first. Yes we need teamwork but as a striker, our main job is to score. To score, we need ego (not too much, but just enough to serve as confidence). I used to just score tap ins, but after blue lock, I started to start hesitating less, and scored more goals outside the box
Japan has a inherent collectivism mentalitity ingrained in its social structure. Collectivism is a good thing but a bad thing as well in extremes. Particularly in competitive sports it'd make sense the cog in the machine mentality could hurt the skill cieling one could attain in sports because they are overly focused on team play they forget to strive to be the best individually? Atleast thats what the message i get from this anime lol. This anime is the other side of the coin and the other side of the mirror if you compare it to knb.
Honestly, I don't think Coach will like this because it goes against all values that Coach advocates for (teamwork vs being selfish is one example). And the characters don't have good personalities either 😅 i think RUN WITH THE WIND is more up Coach's alley tbh. I hope he watches that too 🙏
I feel the coach might appreciate it as he might understand the importance of individual play and egoism as while teamwork is important, you’ll never advance if you lack the drive to succeed with your own skills
That's the reason I couldn't watch more than 3 episodes 😢 I wish he could react to Run with the Wind or Hajime no ippo.... That's the type of story he'll definitely like a lot 😭
@@BlueBlazeKing agree. but the extreme-ness and intensity of blue lock characters are too much lol they're like edge lords 😂 so personally it's hard to take them and their beliefs seriously. Also, Coach likes inspirational stories/characters, and that's not one of blue lock's strengths.
It's not about being selfish, that's just surface level of this show. It's about having the drive and ambition to always challenge and push yourself, not just staying in your comfort zone and conforming with everyone else. They constantly work together, it's the lesson of the first 5v5 that having an ego doesn't mean play like its a free for all
It's important to remark that even if the series mentions some real footballers as pele, ronaldo and messi. The players who actually appear represented are all invented, even tough most of the "invented" players are heavily inspired in a real life current player
I am very curious on your opinions of the philosophy of this anime. I thought it was actual advice while people called it cringe, childish and the exaggerated it too much. Obviously its anime but the philosophies said was what made them not want to watch it. I am very delighted you picked this anime up
This is awesome! As a heads up though, I would highly suggest to put up the rest of kurokos basketball movie reactions before you go live with this one; reason being, people will 100% get annoyed that they can't finish seeing your reaction; what with the world having a low attention span I am not fussed either way, I love watching every reaction you do!
For sure! Thanks for the heads up. I just had to schedule the Livestream for tomorrow, so I wanted to make sure I can still make 2 anime reaction videos per week

I feel like I am learning, and appreciating this anime more than I did the first time I saw it. Thank you for that, and excited to continue watching your reactions to learn more. Maybe it will even help me actually finish this anime haha... ( Due to my own laziness, not due to quality ) Very excited.
Hey coach! I love this show. It's good to be back, it's been some years for me.
Hey, welcome back!!
oh my god i never thought i’d see the infamous coach donnie react to blue lock wtf i’m so hyped!
I would love to watch a full series of this ^^
omg! i thought u gonna finish the kuroko movie first! this is such a pleasant surprise coach! been waiting for this in ages…
Part 2 of the movie is coming out on wednesday!!
Dude I remember watching your haikyuu reactions. Can't wait to see how you react to the take on sports anime from bluelock
So hyped to see this! I was hoping this would be the next series are knb.
Yesssssss super excited for Blue Lock! And great idea with the headphones. Music is like 50% of the feels from Anime.
Yes! For sure I can feel all the kicks, damage, and emotions more
OMGGG! This is definitely so different from what Haikyuu taught us but I really love this anime
34:36 this is actually spot on. before making Blue Lock, this was the mangaka behind 'As the God's Will', a horror manga that was popular enough to get a live action movie.
Cant wait for more blue lock reactions, this show has a lot great moments, so cant wait to see ur reaction🙌🏿
Haven't watched the Bluelock anime in a while but the manga is showing the name of each player EVERY chapter... So even 200 chapters in, the manga will show the name of the players the first time they show up in each chapter
Im excited to watch coach reacting to this one.
Blue lock genuinely made me a better volleyball player even though it’s completely different sports
I'm super excited to see you watch this series. One of my favorites
First video i watch here and almost isntant subscribing , you pay attention on details i never seen. Really interesting, keep it going!
Awesome, thank you!
Bachira is just best boy. He has no plan he’s just going with the flow and it’s great. He will become one of your favorites for sure.
Yes! This show is the exact opposite of Haikyuu. But it’s soooo good. Super hype show and I’m excited for you to start it!
very hyped about you reacting to Blue Lock (Ao Ashi would also be a good next football series)
funny to see people discovering Blue Lock seing things in a very different way than when you're used to the values/moral of how things are presented in Blue Lock (sorry trying to not spoil anything)
i hope you check run with the wind as the next series its made by the same studio as kuroko and haikyuu and its a very great show about comradeship and motivation to be an athlete
That is one of my favourite anime... I hope that will be the next series 😢
Coach Donny with the breaking knowledge?! Wasn't expecting that 👏
I LOVE Blue lock, so happy to see Coach watching it so soon
I watched your Haikyuu reaction videos from beginning until end and those were a fun 2 years of watching! Now time to do the same for Bluelock! 🎉
Welcome back!
This reaction series ofo blue lock is unexpected. i love it
Glad I ran into this. Just started S2.
As an artist that only followed you for volleyball, I’m mad I never knew you were an art teacher too
Hahaha no worries, I don't think I've talked about it that much on my other channel.
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 you did though. Was mentioned a lotnin the haiyku reactions. Was always nice
Ok, coach. Here we go again. Nice to see you again reacting to another sport anime.
Enjoy the ride. This is gonna be fun.
Thanks!! Hope you enjoy it aswell!!
When blue lock started it never catched my eye, but i knew it was the best produced sport show after haikyuu, then i thought
the only way i can watch blue lock is with coach donny...well this day finally came, lets go man
Let's go!!!!
I was waiting for this to happen for so long.
Welcome to peak. Just in time for season 2 in october. Alredy sub.
Welcome to the channel!
The fact that you can actually watch English dub too cuz it is soo good
I switched and trust me i didn't miss the Japanese dub
Found a gem! I'll be joining this journey with you lol
Welcome to the channel!
19:56 This is what happened in the 2022 world cup. Keeper saved the last ball when in another universe if he passed it France could have won 4-3. Ego matters situationally
Great reaction as always. This anime hit me to the core, I played baseball though. But a lot of themes were spot on
The author actually did do a horror manga and you can definitely feel similar vibes with blue lock
Thank you that you mentioned Physical 100, i also think its pretty similar to Blue Lock :)
Amazing series eneded and amazing series started. Thanks Coach.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can’t wait for ep 2
Coming out this saturday!
Oh damn we're starting blue lock
I’m gonna call it soccer. I’m just gonna call it football. Nevermind soccer. Haha love you coach
The long pink-haired character Chigiri is popular and has the same voice actor as Yamaguchi from Haikyuu.
The reason why there's a lot of horror vibes is because the author of bluelock original made horror mangas.
About damn time.
Noel Noa is a character created for this series, but the rest of the soccer players they reference are real people.
This will be very interesting to going from the extreme Kuroko team mindset to the individual mindset of Blue Lock
sorry, but could you upload like every episode how you react to BLUE LOCK, because I like that format
There is an "additional time" after every episode.
So be sure to watch those
Got it!
@@Old_Soul_ I love Run With the Wind! ❤️ Yeah, I have a love-hate relationship with blue lock so I get you not finishing it! 😅
Aaah got it. Thanks for the info!
Wow a Blue Lock Reaction Noiceee
Interesting that you mentioned the horror element because the author is known for his gore horror manga before he started blue lock
Didn't haikyuu's author also do horror manga before? I remember someone telling me that during the haikyuu reactions
I am very curious on your opinions of the philosophy of this anime. I thought it was actual advice while people called it cringe, childish and the exaggerated it too much. Obviously its anime but the philosophies said was what made them not want to watch it. I am very delighted you picked this anime up
I remember a few years back when coach reacted to haikyuu. This is hype fr fr.
the title is Blue Lock, but Isagi's aura is green 🤣. and .... I LOVE BACHIRA!
Hahaha yeah, I've started to really him and his inner demon!!
17:23 lock off is like fuck off but pg lol
Oh. I thought it was a play on "log off" but lock instead because it's blue LOCK.
Very nice video
I cant wait to see you react to the other episodes
Blue Lock is an anime talking a completely different story from Haikyuu😂
This is awesome! As a heads up though, I would highly suggest to put up the rest of kurokos basketball movie reactions before you go live with this one; reason being, people will 100% get annoyed that they can't finish seeing your reaction; what with the world having a low attention span
I am not fussed either way, I love watching every reaction you do!
For sure! Thanks for the heads up. I just had to schedule the Livestream for tomorrow, so I wanted to make sure I can still make 2 anime reaction videos per week
It's amazing that you pick up the horror style of the artwork bcs the illustrator of the comic, Yusuke Nomura, is famous for horror manga and he used to be Hajime Isayama's (Attack on Titan) assistant 😆
Actually the mangaka who draws blue lock did a kind of horror action manga before, so yeah haha
Aaah that's interesting...I remember someone telling me the same thing when I was watching haikyuu
