- I started this journey near the tail end of 2022. I have always wanted to have locs and felt that this would be the best time to loc up my hair. I travelled the world in 2023 and continued to loc up my hair using the freeform/neglect method. There were a lot of ups and downs but I absolutely love my hair. I'm going to continue this journey and see where it takes me although I do predict that at some point I will shave it off to further my training in Muay Thai. When that happens I will get a head tattoo.

This entire video is why you shouldnt keep them. You keep saying you look homeless and ugly, that's what a person who hates how they look talks. Why bother keeping a style you so loudly detest?

@@Cinnamon666Coca genuinely I've never seen someone bitch so much about a hairstyle they picked, the fact she refuses to fucking take care of them in any capacity (always looking nappy, not taking any care in her scalp and locs themselves) doesnt help. But its gross to see her use a pretty hairstyle and complain for an entire video.

You can have the person doing your locs add fake hair to make them fuller over all and not get thinned out over time. That’s how many ppl begin.

You should know this: Since this hairstyle is not meant for your hair type, it will only damage your hair. On people with coily hair types, dreadlocks/locs are a protective style. But on people with straight hair, they will hurt the hair and can even pull it from the scalp. It can get very painful.
My hair is straight and was better when it was dreadlocked. I had to brush them out & I didn't lose anymore hair, than what would have come out in the shower. If you take good care of them, it's not damaging to your hair. Sounds like you just want to talk sht about people with dreadlocks & scare ppl out of doing it. Don't listen to that guy, just take care of your hair, when you don't want to brush/comb.
@@username566-jb8sx I’m not trying to talk shit about people with dreadlocks, I’m not even trying to talk shit about non-black people with dreadlocks; that’s why I purposefully made this comment polite and respectful instead of attacking her. But even if I don’t want to talk shit about them, it’s still not great to have them if they’re not meant for you. Not only for the reason I listed above, but also because it’s a form of cultural appropriation. And that’s the main reason why I’m saying this; it’s because it hurts certain groups of people when a more privileged person steals the styles they came up with. But a lot of people don’t listen to that, so I chose another logical reason instead. And the fact is, this style is meant to be protective of coily hair and it does nothing but harm for people with straight hair types.

Its not harmful if you take care of them correctly. Locs are for everyone if its taken care of properly.

I get you with the locs and Muay Thai! Once my head starts moving, bam, blinded by my own hair. A good thing is when i'm in the clinch, my hair aggrovates my opponent's face if i put my head under their chin.

You should of sectioned your hair out first. You could have made nice small squares or whtever shape all over your head. and had someone make sure each day they weren't sticking together.

@ampthemilk I must say, that they are damaging their hair, they can get the same appearance of locs without actually having to do them. It's the hair texture, locs are more for people with curly, thicker hair. Their hair looks flowy and beautiful already. But it is their hair, if their really concerned about damage, they can get a different hairstyle that replicates the appearance of locs, just without the hair damage and all the high maintenance.
