Peach cobbler is amazing and like other comments have pointed out a lot of people eat ice cream with it, you can also try blueberry cobbler which is equally delicious in my opinion but most people like peach cobbler better I’m just not as much of a peach person. Come to think of it peach cobbler is the only thing I actually like that has peaches in it which just proves how great it is.
Ahhh Peach Cobbler 🍑 My childhood favorite. I remember every Summer going to our neighbors 300+ acre farm and picking peaches growing up in South Carolina. Good times!
I’m from Georgia. I remember as a kid getting truck beds full of peaches with my granddad. He’d let us kids get a couple. Granny get a couple buckets full to can and make peach cobbler with. Then we would all sit on the back porch peeling and pitting peaches…. Some of the sweetest liquor I’ve ever had.
Peaches were the most important crop in the county where I went to university... we'd drive out to the orchard on summer Saturdays and buy peaches from the farmer's stand. HUGE, truly ripe, warm from the sun. That was 30 years ago and I still dont buy store-bought peaches because they're so sad it hurts my soul

For those of you who can't make it to the USA to try this, I've got you covered. 😁 Take a can or three of sliced peaches (depending on how larger your baking dish is vs your cans of peaches), and drain the juice into a cup/jar. Set aside. Lay the peaches in a single layer on the bottom of your dish. Set aside. In a saucepan, pour the juice from the peaches. Add around a 1/4 c. BROWN sugar (not white), 1/2-1 tsp cornstarch (depending on how thick you want the 'gel' to be), and your preferred ratio of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice (I usually use a 2-1-1-.75 ratio; for a 9x13 dish, it comes out to 1 tsp cin -1/2 tsp nut.-1/2 tsp cl.-1/4 tsp with an extremely vigorous dash on top all.). If you're not sure, your nose is your most important tool, and you can mix your spices in a separate small bowl for clear smell before adding. Bring to a low boil, then shut off heat and pour over the sliced peaches. Grab a boxed cake mix (or from scratch if you feel like it). For Peach, you wanna use a Yellow (most common), Spice (my favorite), or a Chocolate (use with caution, as the wrong chocolate cake will make or break Peach Cobbler). Mix up, using melted butter rather than oil, and milk rather than water. Pour raw batter over the peaches, and pop that in the oven, baking according to cake instructions. When the cake poke test comes out clean, your cobbler's done. Dish it out with a cooking spoon. I'd recommend trying your first piece by itself, with no adornments. After you've had a full piece, THEN move onto things like warm over ice cream, or with a light drizzle of caramel sauce. Good luck, and let me know how it goes. 😉

I literally just started using a cobbler for my shoe and zipper repair services, and the first thought that came to mind was “why did he name his business after a dessert?” 😂 Must be a British thing.
Cobbles are stones of a certain shape and size that were used to make streets. A proper fruit cobbler once baked is supposed to look bumpy like a cobblestone road. Also to cobble something means to put something together without skill. So cobblers were someone who did not have the skills to make shoes but could repair or "cobble" them together if they were broken.

You can make cobbler with any type of fruit that you like. Stone fruits and berries work particularly well. Simply sweeten the fruit, apparently 4 cups, with about 1/2 cup or so of sugar, season with a pinch of salt and cinnamon and any other warm spices, a teaspoon of lemon zest, and a couple of tablespoons of butter coursely chopped. Mix together, add fruit to a buttered rectangular dish. Top with mixture of 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of salt blended with 3/4.cup of milk, (add it tablespoon or two of milk if the dough is too stiff) stirring just til combined. Dollop the topping evenly over the fruit. Bake at 145° C for 35 to 40 minutes until fruit is bubbling and top is golden brown and delicious 😊. Hope that you give it a try with some beautiful English fruits. All the best
If they only knew how easy peach cobbler is to make. 1 cup of milk 1 cup of self rise flour 1 cup of sugar 1 stick of melted butter 1 teaspoon of vanilla I use fresh peaches off my peach tree but frozen or canned peaches work. If using canned peaches, use a 28 oz can of peaches in its natural juices. Mix batter and pour over peaches in a 9 x 13 baking dish. 350 degrees for about 40-45 min or until batter is golden brown and it’s done! Easy peasy! Fellas, take this recipe home to your significant other and you can enjoy it in the UK!! ❤
I'm so glad you tried it, but you were ROBBED of the best part -and that is the vanilla ice cream!!! ALL fruit cobblers deserve their vanilla ice cream! ❤️🤞🏻😁

For me, my brother and sister my Grandpa picked peaches from his tree and made us a peach cobbler one time. Only time I've ever seen him make dessert and it was amazing.. I miss him..
Peach Cobbler is one of the easiest desserts: 1 can of peaches (if not available fresh) 1 c. of sugar 1 stick of butter melted (1/2 c.) 1 c. All purpose flour Mix melted butter, sugar and flour together. Butter the bottom and sides of a pan. Put batter into the pan. Pour the can of peaches over the batter. Bake at 350°F until the crust is golden brown and bubbly. Eat warm or cold the next day. Warm with vanilla cream is my favorite. Delicious. Enjoy. 😊

You can get all this stuff in the UK. I have no idea how this series is even a thing.
Eh? Cobbler is an English dish too how have you guys never had it before!
Are you English? I have made it before but it definitely isn’t common. I feel like it’s replaced by the crumble
Exactly, was thinking the same. Had it many times before, obviously seasonal fruits.
@@emilyhughes4297 yes I am English. I agree crumble is more popular and common.
The online Al Qaeda magazine has a recipe for a homemade bomb. They also have a recipe for a pretty darn good peach cobbler.

I use that same recipe in my crockpot!!
If they only knew how easy peach cobbler is to make.
1 cup of milk
1 cup of self rise flour
1 cup of sugar
1 stick of melted butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
I use fresh peaches off my peach tree but frozen or canned peaches work.
I’m surprised there wasn’t a custard comment from either of them!
It's nowhere neaR like a custard, so it makes sense not to mention it. Have you ever had one before?
@@nikkirockznikkirockz8551 I meant, putting custard on it

For me, my brother and sister my Grandpa picked peaches from his tree and made us a peach cobbler one time. Only time I've ever seen him make dessert and it was amazing.. I miss him..

Dutch oven peach cobbler while camping is the best!
Peach Cobbler is one of the easiest desserts:
1 can of peaches (if not available fresh)
1 c. of sugar
1 stick of butter melted (1/2 c.)
1 c. All purpose flour
Mix melted butter, sugar and flour together. Butter the bottom and sides of a pan. Put batter into the pan. Pour the can of peaches over the batter. Bake at 350°F until the crust is golden brown and bubbly.
Eat warm or cold the next day. Warm with vanilla cream is my favorite. Delicious. Enjoy. 😊
