Algeria created this problem because it wanted access to the Atlantic Ocean to transport its gas and petrol cheaply. And to block Morocco’s economic progress. Libya at the time of Gaddafi wanted to assist Algeria as they both hated the successful monarchy model of Morocco 🇲🇦.
The Moroccan Sahara was, is and will always be Moroccan lands.

Morocco in history is an African empire that spreads from southern Spain to Senegal and Tunisia to the east. Algeria was never an independent State in history and is a pure creation of France colonialism in Africa. Paris called Algeria "the second France" and made it a huge territory as the french thought Algeria was a conquered Land that will belong to France for ever. Morocco in the other hand was a protectorate divided between french and Spanish colonialists and never was a colony and that's the reason why France stole many territories from Morocco and annexed them to french Algeria. Morocco helped Algeria gain its independence from France and Nowadays Algeria is an independent nation with the largest territory in Africa. Not even happy with what they've got for free with an immensely huge area, the Algerian military junta are spending billions of dollars each year and for more than forty years to split Morocco in half and gain access to the Atlantic ocean. For this the military junta in power in Algiers are supporting a separatist communist militia called "Polisario" hosted in Algeria, trained, funded and armed by the corrupt authoritarian Algerian military junta.
Morocco is struggling to keep it's Territorial integrity and needs the support of Africa.

The Regency of Algiers[a] (Arabic: دولة الجزائر, romanized: Dawlat al-Jaza'ir[b]) was a state in North Africa from 1516 to 1830, when it was conquered by the French. Situated between the regency of Tunis in the east, the Sultanate of Morocco (from 1553) in the west and Tuat[12][13] as well as the country south of In Salah[14] in the south (and the Spanish and Portuguese possessions of North Africa), the Regency originally extended its borders from La Calle in the east to Trara in the west and from Algiers to Biskra,[15] and afterwards spread to the present eastern and western borders of Algeria.[16]
It had various degrees of autonomy throughout its existence, reaching de facto independence, and its rulers came to be chosen locally, however the Regency still nominally paid homage to the Ottoman sultan, and recognized him as the Caliph, or the leader of the Islamic world.[17] just search for regnecy of algiers on wikipedia and you will find algiers hasnt always been morocan.

As an Algerian neighbor, I am disappointed with my brothers' policy and outlook. We here in Africa have agreed to keep the borders set by European Imperialism to avoid conflicts. We are all brothers in this continent and I don't agree with my Moroccan brothers' infringement of right self determination of the people of W. Sahara. The Moroccans are being mislead (and perhaps embarrassed) by their monarchy. Instead of chasing off the Spanish from their land and closest islands, they chose to oppress their brothers to their south.
Morocco has had its independence given to it (not fought for) and it seems to have their standards skewed.

2- When Morocco tried to take back the "perejil" island from the spanish in the beginnning of the century, Algeria was the only arab country that sided with Spain. And Algeria is the only arab country that recognizes the occupied cities as spanish.
3- Morocco didn't have its independence given to it, we fought for it, go learn the history. Lol we cannot be too coward to fight for our independance, and too brave to help you to fight for yours in the same time.

@@fhirvhdyg5gjyefhitzaphgbiu748 Moroccans fought against Sahrawis to take their land, not against Spain. In fact the Spanish government, like France, US, Saudi Arabia and apartheid South Africa supported Morocco. The lasted 16 years, between 1975 and 1991. For many years the Sahrawis had the upper hand, despite being a relatively small population. Morocco finally signed a treaty in which they accepted a referendum, but they they did not keep their promise because they knew they would loose. In simple terms you might say they lied. According to international law Morocco's occupation is not legal. In lay terms, this is theft.
