I tend to be a creature of habit and pack skincare I know won't irritate by skin. So these are my skincare favourites, including SPF, skin first aid and "can't be without" products I'll be packing for my summer holiday.

Not a product as such but a tip for holiday hair! I use a hair conditioner on my hair prior to any swimming - sea or pool. Then afterwards wash and condition as normal. It acts as a barrier and protects hair, especially coloured hair. Works for me anyway.. Happy holidays! Xx
Philip Kingsley swim cap completely cuts all ability for your hair to get wet in the pool and washes out really really easily :)😊

Hi Caroline I buy travel bottles and use labels to differentiate products. This allows me to take my normal products with me without buying travel sizes. My other tip is sheet masks as they’re super hydrating after a hot day and don’t take up a lot of room (there is usually excess serum for the neck/chest in the packet). Obviously ultrasun is my can’t be without. I do have to use body cream for my eczema but take a more lotion texture decanted. Best wishes x
Ps I take my silk pillowcases with me as I have issues sometimes with the detergent etc used on bedding (rosacea and eczema plus curly hair).
Avene Thermal Spring Water spray 50ml is my go to while ✈️
When traveling apart from taking travel sizes for moisturizer, and cleanser etc, I always pack minimal makeup ( no more than 5 or ten items depending on how long I’m away) and I always use my lipstick as a cream blush as I have very dry skin. It wins every time for me.

Oh no not Sali Hughes cleanser! I used the night one and my eyes stung like mad. Then I read the instructions and it said don’t use around eyes. Not great for removing make up! It’s also very highly scented. I do know if “clean sheet” is the night or morning one but thought I’d just mention these points. X
Agreed. I was so disappointed in all the Sali Hughes skincare products. So highly (and not nicely) fragranced and irritating. I ended up tossing them 😢
Muji have really nice travel bottles if people like to decant rather than buying minis. I love that Vichy body sunscreen too! 😊

I acquired a Manta brush at some point and really love it. I feel that it glides through my hair without tugging. I also use it to massage my scalp, using a soft circular motion. Also use it to brush through hair treatments such as oils or conditioner. I wouldn’t be without it now. Thank you for all the suggestions Caroline, I actually do try a lot of them. I like that you use a lot of them and do your research.

Great ideas Caroline, can vouch for the Coola SPF spray as I can manage to reach my back with the spray without having to ask someone to help you, if you get my drift. I'd also include an SPF lip balm too 👍. Have a great holiday 😊

These really are your colours! The beautiful lemon yellow and the orangey red lippie. Absolutely gorgeous! Good to see what goes into your travel skincare bag. I have to admit that I always take too much stuff with me. Whenever I do the trek back to Scotland the family are horrified at the amount of stuff I end up packing! I think though, for people going from a cold climate like Britain, into the tropics the most important thing after sunblock is products that will work with high humidity. The hair turns into a frizzball so products that will help tame frizz, lightweight moisturizer and above all, steer clear of these products that are duel action with sunscreen! Keep them separate as you need a lot of sunscreen on your face. My favourite thing for the long haul flights to help pass the time though is to turn it into a mini spa. Got the idea years ago from Lisa Eldridge and have been doing it ever since...to hell with the weird looks with the sheet mask comes out lol. Hello Caroline! This is super helpful, and makes me feel wonderfully vindicated ... husband was grumbling under his breath that my "bloomin' toiletry bag needs a suitcase of its own" last week. This video proves it was all absolutely essential, and I am innocent of any wrong-doing. Hurrah!

I’ve found the travel minis skincare from Sculpted by Aimee really good for travelling with and a great way to try different products in the range. I decant shampoo, conditioner and body wash into different coloured squidgy silicone containers from Boots, they don’t split or pop open in your bag and easy to see how much is left, I can go away for up to two weeks with those.

I live in Florida and sun protection is a year round struggle. For the beach I love the rice bran polish. I use a K-beauty version (cheaper) from Amazon. When the salt & sea air has dried your face into a crusty flaky mask 😱.
I am very interested it the spray moisturizing milk. If I put any cream or lotion on my face it's like wearing a waxy mask on my face that causes me to sweat profusely.

Hi Caroline, thank you for your wonderful tips. When it comes to make up in hot climate, I like to keep it simple. Also the holidays is a time for me for make-up detox. I recently had a terrible eye infection and should not wear any eye make-up. Do you have tips for holidays or situations like mine where you don't wear any eye make-up but still look sophisticated?
You look beautiful Caroline! I’ve longed to try the Gatineau tan accelerating lotion, but I’m worried that the ‘nudge’ to melanin will darken my sun/age (?!) spots on my legs and arms like fake tans do. If not, count me in! ❤
The Philip Kingsley Swim Cap is great for protecting your hair. I wear it as a hair mask when I’m by the pool / beach.
