    One of the reason they have the cell modems is for insurance purposes. Insurance companies require compliance data to determine if they will pay for the device.

    I received this machine last week by Fed Ex. Trying to understand how to make it work was beyond me..I could connect the tubing and power cords but for the life of me I could not figure out how to remove the water chamber for initial cleaning following the written directions. Thank you so much. My machine is preset so I don’t need to go to the numerous screens you showed. I will try using the machine for the first time tonight thanks to your video. ❤

    I just picked up my Luna 3, replacing a system one. Big changes in ten years. Tonight is my first night. I am so glad you are giving us these tutorials, makes it easier to digest as well hopefully make an informed decision. I orig was suppose to get a resmed 11, the technician pushed this model. Hope it's right for me.

      My respiratory tech also pushed this one on me even though I had requested the Resmed AirSense 11 with the Resmed N30 nose pillow. They kept telling me that it was the only one they had in stock. I told them that after the 4 month rental with my insurance, the machine would be mine and I specifically requested the Resmed. She walked away to "see what she could do" and lo and behold! She came back in with the sleep lab manager dangling a box in the air and smiling a wry smile. He said "You're in luck! This is our last one." Well he must have thought I was a fool. My insurance paid for the Resmed, they would give me a lesser priced model and sell the Resmed at market price for profit! 🙄 I love my Resmed and now I'm trying to get the nose pillow I ordered because they also said they "ran out of" the Resmed N30 I originally requested. I wound up with a BMC Res II which plugs into the nostrils. I don't like it and it's uncomfortable for me. I hope everything works out for you. Sleep well. 😊

    • @chadm2343
      @chadm2343 Год назад

      @@marjimdas Most CPAP machines have the same price wholesale, approx $300. The Resmed 11 is the same price wholesale as the Luna G3. Nobody was trying to make more profit, lol. And it isn't that your insurance "paid for the Resmed," they paid for the E0601. Same exact reimbursement on the same fee schedule.

    I have had my Luna G3 since April and am satisfied with it. My biggest complaint is that the humidifier is not removable, that is it will not run without the water container in place. In my previous machine it was removable and I always removed it when I traveled. It was lighter and less bulky without the humidifier and I was almost always in a location where I did not need the humidifier so much. The controls are great and the machine is very quiet. I am happy with it, I am sleeping well, especially now that I am using a nasal pillow mask. If you are just starting, give yourself a couple of weeks to become accustomed to the APAP and you'll sleep better and quieter. One other note, on a recent trip to Japan, I moved from hotel to hotel, and traveled on trains and subways for 2 weeks during which time I broke the little tab on the bottom of the tank. It was still in warranty, so they sent me a new one. Great video. I learned a couple new things to try.

    When you have to get up in the middle of the night an auto OFF is golden. I miss that feature a lot. Especially as you have to lean over in the dark to hit the button. Or you leave it on and the escaping air wakes my partner. That feature would have made this machine everything you could ask for.

    Had my G3 (wifi only enabled) for awhile now its been good. Though a couple of things and so glad found your channel.
    1. My wife says that she hears my breathing and I am thinking if she is hearing the release pressure on my mask. I am using nasal mask. Is there a way to reduce this.
    2. I am thinking if I would benefit more using a full face mask my wife says sometimes she would still here me snore 😮. I am very careful when I also go on my side as it may cause leak while using the nasal mask.
    Your assistance will be much appreciated.

      That noise could be leaks or the exhalation port on the mask. Some masks are a little noisier than others. Link below may help.

    I have just recently been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, I was quite surprised actually. Anyway during the sleep study overnight test. The technologist determined that my optimal pressure was 12 cm of pressure. From your video I gather that by setting it on auto it will start at a lower pressure, and then work up to a pressure that the machine deems optimal. If I’m wrong on that I apologize. My question is, is there a way to set the machine to achieve a pressure of 12 cm of pressure if you put it on automatic? I have not yet received the machine yet, I was notified by email today that it has been shipped and will be here in a few days. Another question I have is regarding the use of a battery back up system. I live here in the state of Florida, and during the hurricane season between June and November, it is not in frequent that we have power failures that may last from a few minutes to a few days. Could you suggest a good surge protector/battery back up that I might buy to hook up to the CPAP machine ? Great video and I am subscribed. Thank you very much.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  8 месяцев назад +1

      Unofrtunately you can not put it on a set pressure of 12cm and on auto. Auto would allow it to adjust to other pressures.
      The Portable Outlet is a great option for battery backup on that unit. I have a link for you below. Thanks for watching and for subscribing.

    Thank you so much for making a video, is very helpful. There are some features that I don’t understand. What are they for. my main questions is how do I turn the machine off? If I need to get off of it for a few minutes, how do I turn it off completely, it doesn’t seem to work The power button, the screen steals on, which, of course I don’t want, I I want to sleep so if you can please explain this to us, that will be great. Thank you so much.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  9 месяцев назад

      When you turn the CPAP off, it will not completely shut the CPAP off. The screen will remain on and the CPAP will be in standby. So the on and off is just the on and off for the therapy or pressure.

    How does this compare dollar for dollar for overall features with the Resmed 10 auto cpap? Which is the best value unit?

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  2 года назад +3

      That is tough. The AirSense 10 is being replaced by the AirSense 11 currently. The G3 is the latest from 3B. With that being said, the setup, and operation of the G3 and AirSense 10 are very comparable. The AirSense 10s are currently coming without cell modems so you can't use the app on them. That may change, but worth consideration right now.
