Hey Gary, just wanted to say thanks for all your videos. Your videos along with EZGZ, and VW Darin really helped me build for my first motor. Please keep cranking them out.
@@rayflores4379 that’s awesome man! To even out me in the same category as EZ and Darrin is an honor. It’s about the community sticking together and helping everyone out.

I love that you used the sickxty to tow jawbreaker. LOL. They both look so tough, man. The stances. Your kid's gonna be taller than you when he's finally done growing.
I’ve been waiting forever to get a pic of these two next to each other. What a huge difference between them! I don’t think he’s going to get much taller but who knows 😂 Appreciate ya!!
G'day, It's great to finally see Jawbreaker. But by the looks of things, you've got a fair bit of work ahead of you. I think it's time to refine him a bit. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.

Hi Gary, been watching 71 to 73 bugs lately since the older ones are hard to get anymore in one piece. Got another question on my 40hp build? was just checking the stock piston and jug deck height and the first one is .082 over the allowed limit of .069. Not a shimable fix. To get it there do I really need to have it machined down or since it's just a stock rebuild will the compression be enough or not? Thanks Tim

@@TimsWorkshopTJY hey man.
Not sure where you got the info that .069” is the max but you won’t know the total compression until you cc the heads and run the info into a calculator.
I think i understand. It all depends on what the compression readings are after the motor has been running for awhile?
@ no, you need to cc the heads and measure deck height to determine the compression ratio.
@@TimsWorkshopTJY if you want the deck height to be less you’ll need to have someone machine the base of the jugs.
I'm going to see what the old jug measurements were since I still have them. If they are shorter then will machine the new ones.
