I ran for Marten for 3 weeks. Made 1300.00 for a regional route in the Midwest. Was five days out. Quit and now I run a fuel tanker making 1700.00 a week, home every night and I run local. You figure it out 🔥
I ran otr 10 years, retired and went local working for a tanker company, It…… was……. The……. Worst!!!!!! First because where I lived I had to commute a 1hr to work so I spending $120 a week in gas and that was every local company distant from me. Very unprofessional company, drivers full of drama, backstabbing, illegal activities like running super illegal, forced drivers to drive illegal after working 14hr shift needing you drive another 16hrs or they threaten to fire you, tell you all the time to unplug your eld and if DOT caught you they didn’t know anything about it and throw you under the bus and trucks falling apart barely held together. Right after I quit I found out the boss got fired for most of that stuff, including having employees trade guns for hours, and stealing money from a money pool for one of the drivers who had cancer, we raised $5k and found out the driver only got $1200 and the boss pocketed the rest. I found out a lot the local companies are like this and made me glade to go back to a bigger company where there is more professionalism in the workplace!!!!
I work with crete on the Shaffer side tired of there poor maintenance always in the shop every week sometimes twice a week really thinking of moving over there soon
That is so funny I've been with Crete for 3 1/2 years. They never want to pay detention, they don't pay inclement weather, it's like pulling teeth to get layover ot breakdown pay. Me and you are in the same boat I start orientation with Marten in two weeks. I said screw it and pulled the trigger. I'm done with Crete man. They don't recognize you for driving safe or anything. I can deal with forward facing cameras and no fridge. I will just buy one my own and put it in the truck. Plus this opti idle is a freaking joke.
Charlie i would be embarrassed to talk Marten up every thing is going to hell at Zionsville terminal they took our holiday pay away and office personnel got theres i loved Marten the first year here but now Zionsville terminal has poor management no freight im running 1600 miles aweek and im a runner been out here for 23 years and no citations at all clean every thing i planned on retiring from here but when you don't have any support team it takes nights and weekends dispatcher 2 hours or longer to answer your question operations and terminal management won't respond to your emails or calls plain n simple poor management so its time for me to head out people's quitting every day out of Zionsville terminal i wish you the best of luck brother
I need That ,Im only getting like 700 a week .I know I just Started. Only got 3 months. I was with my trainer for 6 weeks .and solo 6 weeks . I need Rwall Money
Hey what's up Charlee. Thx for all the Marten info. I've been pre approved with them but wanted to ask, in your experience, how micro manage-y is the dispatch? Do they let you do your thing, or are they contacting you every other hour to check on the load etc.? I realize it's probably different from account to account but how has your experience been?
i did it, sucked, hooking up to doubles, politics in the dispatch office, trying to get home everyday during winter, no health insurance, did it for 7 years, i love it more at the current mega carrier im in, same pay but less stressful
@@charleethetruckerI like having at least $25k in my savings account and paying my mortgage. I am not sleeping in a truck for $800 a week. I can make more than that doing Armed Guard security.
I don’t know if they’re paying you to do this, but you should be honest at least about premium pay. It’s not premium at all. It’s just what you were promised per mile. But you find out after you’re in that if you miss anything or need an extra day home your cpm goes down ten cents. In my opinion you’re as misleading as the recruiter was to me. Respectfully.
No they do not pay me. I make these videos because I like working at Marten and I think It's a very good company if it didn't work for you ok It's not gonna work for everybody. But I guess you did not understand the premium pay. If you do your job correctly? You will get 10 cents extra. That's your premium pay if you can not do your job correctly you will be -10 cents and make 53 cents per mile. I've never missed my premium Pay maybe once because I did not turn in my paperwork on time ETC But that's it in over 2 years. It's not hard to get just do the job right it's not hard this is the easiest job I've ever had
Great Content & Great Information
Thank you

Being 4 Weeks With Marten, Is a good Company. Just the paid out is complicated. My minimum is $1350 as long I don't take more than 48 hours off.
Actually you just have to be available or under a load assignment so sometimes you can get more than 48 hrs off
1350 you are probably 5and 2 right
What’s the pay increase in Marten ? Every 6month or year ?
Don't really know nothing is actually set
what do the colors mean on the trucks at marten I see white dark blue and light blue trucks and meaning in that?
There's no difference I don't know why it's like that
They do hair follicle ?
No
