I'll never understand how a company can be successful for 30+ years,gather a loyal audience of people who love the franchise,and then just suddenly decide that everything they've been doing up until that point is wrong,and now they have to cater to these wierdos who are never satisfied,and never happy. Esg does not stop any bias or discrimination,it keeps it alive by constantly making people only see through specific lenses,and making everything about sex,race,gender ect...

This has nothing to do with diversity. Warhammer 40k has diversity in spades. The problem is that the poster boys, the Space Marines, are all males. That is why they target them all the time. It doesn't matter that WH 40k has other all female factions, they are not on the cover, so it is a problem. They just want GW to bend the knee.

But if they increasingly accomodate English-speaking fans, then anime will become more like Western entertainment, and risks losing the essence of what made it globally popular in the first place. I hope Japanese creators completely ignore us and keep doing what they're doing. The "diversity" you're talking about is making everything for everyone, which makes it for no one. Sounds crazy but with how harder it is to find actual talent through the proper channels, make sense t9 drive companies down to either buy them up for yourself and create less competition for your own golden gooses

Have been for years (As a kid I went to my local comic shop and asked if they had "the little meganan guys" lol) I never needed to see black people on Fenris (the freaking space wolf ice planet. Like having people as pale as the Night Lords on freakin Nocturne!) I mean it's lore breaking. Akshually the lore says that space marines have a melanin gland that adapts to the amount of radiation that hits their skin. It's entirely stupid and I wish I was making it up. But there's a lore reason why space marines have any skin tone. What makes it stupid is that it's implausible that each marine is affected by a different kind of radiation than the one they're standing next to.

It was legit a plot point that Fenrisians consider people with darker skin "exotic". Rangar Blackmane met an Inquisitor with dark skin and he was bewildered. There legit are no black people on Fenris. Fenris itself is culturally isolated from the rest of the imperium until they join the Fenrika. The average Fenrisian would have no idea what a black person would look like.
In fact, it was obvious that GW was moving along the path of degradation and advancing the agenda after their text “Warhammer is for everyone”. It’s just hard to admit to yourself that in a few years 40K will completely deteriorate and slide to the bottom. 😥😥

Also, Blackrock finances businesses with loans, but the loans and the terms you would be eligible for, depend on your ESG score, a idea invented by Blackrock. That's at least how I have understood the matter.

I say this as a woman that actually loves 30k and 40k for what they are; custodes and space marines are brotherhoods, and always will be. If they want to play with female models, they can play sisters of battle or sisters of silence among others. If they want to play with bulky women in golden armour, they can play Age of Sigmar.
Since I'm no longer invested in GWs products I'm gonna sit back and wait for the inevitable "Ever since the first founding there whave always been female ultramarines". On an aside I've found some really cool 3rd party sculpts and am busy drafting up a C&C GDI themed IG army. Remember folks, support the setting not the corporation.
That is the whole point why people oppose this. It wasn't even done in a way that can make you believe it is POSSIBLE, but insanely unlikely, to have female Custodians. Like.. one in a thousand. It would make the female Custodian special. Unique. Like some sort of Fabius Bile kind of creation where he theoretically can do anything he wants considering he made Clonegrim.
The way GW did it means that nothing is sacred. Everything you loved about the setting is subject to change. Not naturally or gradual over time through talented writing, but at the whim of some managers who were hired not for their love of the franchise, but for their love of DEI.
If this is permitted to continue Space Marines will become female too. If nothing else the two missing Legions and their Primarchs will be retroactively made into females. The PATRIARCHY banishing them for their crime of being female.
@@Catonzo I also oppose it, and will be doing my part in this as I continue taking up space in the hobby, but whatever GW does nowadays (honestly, ever since the "you will not be missed" I've simply not given a crap about any new additions to the overarching canon) all it's going to do is make me go "haha, they shot themselves in the face again, I wonder who the next group to be called 'Istaphobes' will be, and will they be dumb enough to kowtow to GW and fall in line?", I'mma be running with old rules, old lore and 3rd party models and suggesting alternatives to the people I wargame with so they can also source their stuff from outside the GW catalog for when they want to expand or build a new army..

This reminds me when I was listening to the ghaz book and they stopped for like a weird brief moment to go over ork gender. And the space wolf dumb dumb character kept insistenting it was a man. Which confuse me because wouldn't space marines know that orks are genderless fungi.
Couple things to remember:
1: The fight for GW and Warhammer did not just begin, it is all but over. The cancer of DEI and ESG has long since set in and we're near Stage 4, only financial ruin will push it into remission and that may well put GW into the dirt. Let the cancer continue and the product will rot into a mockery of what once made it good as all the Diversity Hires in GW who were hired for their genetics rather than their talent do a bad hack job of it all, virtue signals or not.
2. GW embraced this because the Execs at the top are not incentivized to aim for long term prosperity, they only care about making bigger profits in the short term to claim their bonuses and keep the shareholders happy and ignorant. When GW crashes, they'll just take their golden parachutes and glide over to another executive posting elsewhere to rake in more millions, no worries. So when ESG investors come along to offer easy cash and prizes for going woke, it's a no-brainer to the Execs. Why wouldn't they embrace easy money? They have no reason to care about the long term impact of their short-sighted choices.

Well as ive been saying to people. Embrace the old lore, Embrace the old rule books (ive heard 5th and 7th are solid editions for balance) And of course 3dprint/substitute models if you play. and of course share the PDFs as you find em/ reprint old books. They cant take the old parts of the hobby from us if we bassically side step em all together hahha

@@jonthanechols6410 6th ed imo if you want to definitely go older a.k.a before primaris marines, but there is definitely an argument for 4th and 5th edition as well. From my experience 9th edition, specifically in Warzone: Nephelim before the introduction of Votann, was my favorite era of the game, balance wise, though obviously the game has never been perfectly balanced. I'd at least advice to avoid 7th and 8th eds, 7th because of the specialist formations and 8th because of the stacking of modifiers that had no cap on it making things like unhittable Eldar planes a reality.

They could have had an bad ass inquisitor, an blank, one of the Sororitas, but noooo they had to shit on the lore plate and assume that the lore nerds will eat it, hell even me as a "casual" of 40k can't stomach it. Lore is there for a reason, and the reason is to adhere to cannon and an sustained world (galaxy) building.
Question is, how do the fans fight it. I'm not giving away the hobby without a fight, been in it for 27 years!

You don't need to leave the hobby. You can still play and indulge into the lore prewoke era. Don't give your money GW, buy 3D printed figures or get yourself a 3D printer. Don't buy anything from GW.
Start writing your own lore for your faction and get your friends to do the same, then use it in your narrative battles. Community is how these big noses will be beaten

People should be aware there is apparently a worsening civil war within GW where all the old guard are in specialist games/former forge world keeping the flame alive while mainline GW pushes this crap. Their profits are recorded separately and this is the reason why so much 30k that could be used in 40k was removed. Supporting the specialist games range actually undermines mainline GW and provides a hard number they can't argue with.

Totally. in 2020 I kept telling everyone that the UK gov and Big Banc were going to either pay off or force GW to completely retcon all the lore. The writing was on the wall with the slow boil as you said. Pandamike was what allowed an incredible bump up in schedule for all of this, it allowed them all to fast track the agenda by at least a decade, maybe even two. They have since just hammered and double and triple downed nonstop. Keep enjoying the game, but ya gotta boycott 100%. Get second hand if you HAVE TOO! If you can't buy third party or print.
When I did my videos observing these points, people staunchly defended GW as being a ironclad reliable and not ever going to go woke. I do not blame these people as many people just do not get how widespread, insidious, and infectious this stuff is and do not fully understand the political platform that is the American and Western brands of Marxism.
At this point I'm not giving GW any more money. I won't even buy their models second or third hand, because that would put money in the hands of people who would use that money to buy more models and I don't even want to support them indirectly anymore. They don't care about the models, they don't care about the games, and they don't care about their lore so neither do I.
They could have handled this far better than they did, but they chose not to. They could have gone multiple directions with this: Femstodes are actually daemons that have infiltrated their ranks due to blood games gone completely wrong. Femstodes and female space marines have always been possible, but Big E lied and said it wasn't possible because their role to society in birthing more sons to create these transhuman creatures was far more important for defeating the xenos threat.
But they chose to lie to our faces and didn't think we would notice.
They won't be getting me back as a customer and I'm going to be watching the outcome of this. I guarantee their response is going to be along the lines of calling us bigots for hating women and completely gloss over the fact that they disrespected the community in such a blatant manner.
Losing GW stores isn't going to be a loss at all because you're not allowed to play games in their stores anymore, anyway, and they never do sales or discounts.

This seems like a tactic on the part of several companies. At first blush it seems like “just a small change.” A metaphor would be someone turning on the gas but opening the valve only slightly. Then as the company funds roll in they gradually open the valve a little more until everybody’s adapted to the effects while a few “undesirables” are attritted by simply quitting the game entirely. They won’t stop until literally everything has been assimilated. You ask the woke what they want, acceptance or dominance, their answer is “Yes.”

Honestly I'm just gonna continue doing what I've already been doing for years, which is to ignore pretty much any lore and rule changes added after 4th Edition 40k (and 6th Edition for Fantasy). GW has already shown that they don't respect the lore or setting so why should the fans care what GW thinks is canon? GW created an amazing setting back in the day, but the people in the company have gradually been replaced and the current GW has clearly gone off the rails. In my opinion GW is no longer fit to be stewards of the lore. As far as I'm concerned female Custodes, Primaris Marines, the Cicatrix Maledictum and the End Times are all just GW's fanfiction and not inherently more valid than anyone else's headcanon.
But that's just my two cents on the matter. :)

This was clear to me for years. Really, since putting a female on the cover of the last edition of AOS rulebook, most models that have come out for AOS since then are either female or a minority head sculpt. I've played fantasy since 4th ed. and continued into AOS. I haven't bought anything since they first revealed the cover of the last edition of AOS. Most of the video games, books, webcomics, tv series, artwork all have females and minorities as the focus. It's old. That's the reason why they're getting rid of so many models in AOS, so they can replace them with more female and minority sculpts.

1. Fallout Wasteland Warfare. same scale as 40k. great power armor. and who knows, if you need a new model for 40k, a group of T-45 power armor suits would make an EPIC heavy weapon unit.
2. for gundams, might i suggest looking for the show "86" look up 86 juggernaught model, or 86 Reginleif model. recently built a Reginleif and DAYUM....not only is it surprisingly well made (and no glue. very posable). but this is now my Tau Hammerhead. cause DAYUM

Exactly, another thing people seem to not understand is that these investment firms didn't come out of nowhere. For at least a decade, companies have been hiring activists. The rot is truly from the inside, and it's in almost every single company in the entertainment space. It's time to give up your addiction to 40k because they don't care, and they don't want us. The only way normal people will ever get a good product is when someone decides to create an IP that say hey we don't really give a damn about whether you feel included or not if you like it buy it.

Every 40k player I know are basically whales. They’d have more money if they just quit and picked up a drug habit, instead.

The worst bit about this is they could have done it differently and would have barely received any pushback back but to destroy 30+-year-old lore gaslight and ban people that are passionate about their very own lore it pure stupidity, after 35 years I am done with the hobby. I can't support a company or game that is willing to tear itself apart in the name of inclusion. I'll be selling all my stuff off about £20,000s worth as this has completely destroyed Games Workshop for me, hell I was even that invested in the lore where my space wolf army had wolfen before Games Workshop did, I wrote a custom codex which was approved for use in the store by games workshop hq back in 1999 two years later the bring out the Wolfen models. they are now bastardising lore rather than expanding on the pre-existing lore in the name of inclusion which alienates its player base that has supported the company for 30+ years
Honestly, we didn't need proof, but this is nice isn't it? Well, I hope it was worth it. I wish I could say I wished them well, but I want them to fail so badly that someone has to fill the vacuum.

How good that 3D printers do exist and rules in the GW codexes are inherently shit, so it's better to use own or someone's else versions.
Time to start exploring and talking about other tabletop companies and their models.
