Small Loaf recipe
1/3 cup scalded milk
1/2 t. sugar
1/2 t. yeast
3/4 cup All purpose flour
or bread flour
1/2 t. Salt
2 T. melted butter
egg wash
350 20 to 25 minutes
mini LASAGNA
4 cooked Lasagna noodles
1/2 t. oil
1 /2 cup diced onions
2 t. minced garlic
8 oz. Ground beef
1 t. Italian seasoning
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 pepper
1/2 t. onion powder
1can tomato sauce
1 T. tomato paste
3/4 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 t. parsley
Pepper
Italian seasoning
2 T. parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
350 covered 30 minutes

Hello, Miss Lori. Made a quick trip out to check pasture fences and check livestock and feed chickens and gather eggs...just so I could come and sit down in the house and get some coffee to brewing. Cuz I gotta have my time with you and Mr. Brown. Thank you sooo much for giving the program alerts like this. And thank you for taking care of all of us in your community.
I just got in from the chickens to !! Son in law will feed the mules and horses.

I like the idea of the smaller meals for 2. But we REALLY like leftovers. Especially anything with pasta and tomato sauce.

Oh thank you so much for these smaller meals. We just love no leftovers. I have wasted so much food for years. My freezer is always packed with leftovers I just throw out eventually. What a Godsend you are. Never had time to cook working always until now. You've made retirement so much better❤❤❤

Lori, I bought one of those hamburger chopper upper thingys and I have found lots of uses for it. I keep frozen sausage patties and when my husband asks for sausage gravy, of course I use it. At Christmas when I made sausage balls, I used it. To my surprise it works GREAT when making egg salad. No chopping. The more you use it. the smaller the pieces become!

Sometimes like right now, I have a pound of hamburger thawed out and I just stare at it. It's just so un-inspirational at times. Such a good idea to split that pound up into two meals, cook up the whole pound and save half for another meal. God bless you guys, Shirley. ❤

I've done this with a nice bread loaf pan back when Zander was little. He didn't eat as much back then so it was enough to feed the three of us. I did stack it up to the top of the pan so it was nice and tall. He's eating a lot more now. God bless ya'll, take care ❤

Love your channel. My favorite recipe so far is your Crazy Crust Easy Pizza. I make it a lot and I make it gluten free for my 13 yr old grand daughter. Thank you for the great recipes and all the love. Your home is so charming and I love your Ozark dialect. ❤ and we love the Lord too. I’m 70 and my hubby is 81. We live on a small homestead in Indiana.

This is a wonderful idea! Not sure why I haven’t thought about using a bread loaf pan for a lasagna for 2! And guess what I made tonight? I made homemade spaghetti and had about a pint of meat sauce left so I plan on using that for a lasagna for my husband and myself! And we shouldn’t have any leftovers! Yay! My goal this year is not to waste so much food! Thank you!

I love the recipes for two like this. I'm trying to do smaller meals myself. My son is 21 so sometimes he still eats like a teenager but I eat tiny meals so it evens out. I thought I would share something I learned when I had classes around my bariatric surgery. They taught us something neat for our salad dressing. Use a cup like you get on the side in restaurants but don't add it to your salad. Instead dip your fork in the dressing each time before stabbing your salad. You will truly taste dressing with each bite yet be amazed at how little you use.

Hi, @debgalloway1398, when was your surgery? I am not quite a year out from mine, and am struggling m, could use prayer. Have any other tips to share?
@@cathylongstreth5405 Which type of procedure did you have? I had the Roux-en-Y in 2008. Another question, if I may? Did you go to a multidisciplinary team, usually through a hospital? That was the best help for me all along. I'd love to talk to you & answer more specific questions if I can. If you would like to contact me personally we would need to go through Miss Lori but it may be the best way to get to specific questions. I think she would help with that. One of the hardest things for me is not being able to eat & drink at the same time so when I am thirsty then I suck on ice. It's amazing how thirst quenching it can be without upsetting your stomach0. I will absolutely put you on my prayer list as well. I can tell you God is your best ally & things will get better. Make sure you take your vitamins & eat small meals/snacks packed with protein. I look forward to talking with you more!

When I eat salad with a creamy dressing, I add about a teaspoon or two of red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar or white vinegar. Yum!

Hello Miss Lori enjoy watching you and Danny when you guys are cooking this time with you cooking for two that was great as well. I love lasagna I will have to make that dish for two sometime. I grew up in a family with a lot of people so I used to cooking for a lot, but it’s just me and my wife we have no kids at home except for the four-legged ones And they just don’t really care for lasagna. Oh my goodness thank you for sharing the recipe for that bread! I made it after watching your video. I ate the entire loaf by myself! When my honey came to see me I made two batches one for him and one for me to go with our dinner. He loved the bread as much as I did. There was only a small piece left. Love all your videos. And have made a lot of them. Never disappointed.

Thank you so much for having recipes for just 2. It is so hard cooking for just one. I like leftovers for just a couple of days, not for a week. I love to cook, and finding recipes for 2 is hard. I have even been able to find dessert recipes for 2 and that is perfect for me. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe for a small loaf of bread and the lasagna, my favorite dish. I enjoy your videos so much. I have watched Mr. Brown too, I enjoy his videos too.
