Movement becomes critical so spend the time to build the required muscle groups to be strong and limit the chance of injury. As you get older have a standard level of speed and movement rather than pushing the limits like you did when young or injury risk is higher. Good luck with the rehab.
I'm the type of person who always hits and runs, so I guess that put a strain on my ankles... It wasn't just about running fast, I had to run efficiently... It was easier to understand after watching the two videos. Thank you so so so much.
The greatest joy I get from squash is movement and this type of movement becomes addictive with a wonderful feeling of floating , full balance and time to prep. You will never loo back.
You can probably tell there are no scripts for my videos, just years of experience in playing and coaching which becomes clear reasons for swing and movement development which I share in my own unique way. Glad you enjoyed it.
Been practising solo focusing on your movement videos and the backhand slide boast video in particular. I feel like improving those two things is a cheat code for amateur play, who needs perfect back/mid court drops when you can slide boast against amateurs?
Move well and you play well and you have more shot options but you also stay balanced and can then see your opponents body motion and choose to play to difficult areas. The slide boast allows you to deflect with a sharp swing so a balanced move with several options means you are improving greatly and are becoming a more advanced player. Time to look to play better players and challenge yourself. Glad the videos are helping.
@@squashanalysis5670 They are superb! Any chance we can get a forehand slide boast or disguise video? The backhand slide boast allows an arm follow-through, but I think my forehand boast disguise ends up with a very short follow-through which makes it inconsistent
I will add it to the list. Hit your forehand slide boast from ankle height down the floorboards until you get the feel and control then cut at 45 deg from a standing position as you get better.
I have a complete bench marking video levels for movement, racquet skills, target hitting and fitness on my web site free so check it out. Squashanalysis.com Enjoy
I have had other priorities for the past few months but I will resume the video feed soon with quality content. Thanks for your concern, all is fantastic.
Thank you very much for your great contribution to the game of squash. I really enjoy watching the videos and take a lot from them for my game🎉
Thank you for the kind words, I enjoy making the videos and plan to take a break then release many more.
Thats so illustrative! I really like comparing running vs using a shuffle
Glad you liked it. It makes a huge difference in energy usage as well.
I just had surgery which will take me 6 weeks to return to the courts so will be watching the videos to keep the mind sharp ! :)
