Fruit Roll Ups are still around and so are Ding Dongs!
Yes, but Ding Dongs are not what they used to be. Not by a mile.
@@joeylamuel5828 I agree with you.
A lot of these snacks are still around. Just under different names and some ingredients have changed
I miss Chunky candy bars.
They're still around. I like them to and get them in my area. 👍
I really miss the Figurine bars...they should bring them back...
Clove, Beemans, and Black Jack gum can still be found at Cracker Barrel restaurants here in Iowa, and Bazooka can be found here as well...at 78yrs, I can still blow a heck of a big bubble!😅
This video brought back so many sweet memories ❤
Fig Newtons Bars? Okay
I remember when Pop Rocks came out👍👍
Ding dongs and fruit pies are in every store still
Yeah it's frustrating when food items are taken off the market, it even happens with pet food.
Here in Australia we had a chocolate bar called the Polly Waffle it was a cylinder waffle filled with marshmallow and covered with chocolate, it was taken off the market in the 90s, and there has been requests to bring it back.
Never tasted Clove gum before but all the rest of them is still on the Store Shelf. Let's try Clove & Mint Gum in 2024 👍
Figurines had a real beautiful spokeswoman with Carla Borelli.I miss Chiclets gum.
Thank you for this video 😊
I used to love the hostess cherry pie as a child until I went to the zoo install the reptile exhibit during feeding time could never eat a cherry pie ever since
I used to eat most of them. Space food sticks were my favorite.
Yep I remember Snack Cake was going on, kid's can make it. Lol
Some of these can be found again in the It's Sugar stores! I've also come across Necco Wafers and Zotz Candy there!
Snackin' Cake & Stir & Frost! ❤ Comfort foods indeed. I didn't really know how to cook yet, so these were perfect until I became a mom in the 80s, where I refused to cook anything from a box. Now in my 60s I'll take my chances, but they aren't the same or my taste buds are different.
I love dingdong’s they’re one of my favorites it’s awesome to eat those things those wonderful donuts cakes are great I love donuts especially maple bars glazed donuts. Dingdong’s or one of the best ever. I love how smooth and creamy it is.
All of these gums are still around!
Actually fruit stripe was discontinued this year
The fact that clove gun was so popular and then discontinued when Clove is actually beneficial for the teeth is not coincidental in my opinion as sugary snacks became more and more popular.
There are tons of things that we don't see today. As I watched your video my mind remembered some other ones. Shake A Pudding, Chum Gum, Chicklets, Chunky. There are still more that I can't recall as I type this.
This channel gets way too little attention!
The videos are well researched and your voice is great! I immediately clicked subscribe after watching the 2nd video and I hope every other viewer does the same! He really deserves it!
Thank you "American Memory" please keep up the good content! ☺😄😀👍
I see people saying some stuff is still around. It really isn’t cause products today lack the quality and don’t taste like it use to.
Yes! Thanks to high fructose corn syrup. Stuff is not the same.
Nothing tastes like it used to because your tastebuds change as you age.
That's true. We had frozen tots last night, I don't normally buy prepackaged foods, but I wanted a blast of the past. They were awful. Tasted like they were flash fried in dirty oil or oil that had fried questionable fish products. Memories dashed.
I just bought a box of Hostess fruit pies last week they are back
We still have ding-dongs but they are in plastic wrap instead of aluminum foil type wrap
LoL Yep Pop Rock Fiz Mouth Candies. LoL!
Fruit stripe gum was my favorite. Nothing last 😒
Figureines is the only one that dissappeared.
Cracker Barrel has these sweeties.
🐔Chico Stix 🐔
MOST. OF. THESE. SNACKS. WERE. ALSO. BACK. IN THE. 1960S
They're coming back in a new product called sweet liberal tears...This November...🙂👍
Gum isn't good.
I meant Food.
CLOVE GUM WAS DISGUSTING
Most of these are still around now-so pointless video.
Beemans, Black Jack and Clove gum were not favorites in the 70s and 80s. They were popular from the 20s to the 60s, lost popularity in the 70s and make a brief return in the 80s. Most of the rest of these are still around. Hostess treats disappeared for a year in the 2010s, but returned after customers complained. I think you should have done more research before making this.
Fast forward to 2024. Childhood obesity. Turning a generation into diabetes.
