    Thank you all for loving, respecting Gurkhas bcoz they have contributed, sacrificed their youth, life to make a better, peaceful world. Surely, able person should try to eradicate all forms of discrimination because we are a guest in this earth for a very limited time and we cannot predict what it will be like in another a few thousand years ahead. However, should we focus on how we can live as a human, find out new ideas, innovations as to how we may save this planet and human beings? Thank you.

    I would like to thank the Gurkhas for their service. Not many people know about the Gurkhas because 1) ignorance, 2) not interested, 3) knowledge was not passed down generations bc they are so far removed from the wars. I know about them bc my family have been in HK for throughout both world wars. Wrt the offspring, I feel that the younger generations seem to have a sense of entitlement about them.

    Saddened to hear about the descendants of Gurkhas who decided to remain behind. They will be discriminated against. Please young people, do the best you can in studies, stay away from drugs and try to emigrate to western democracies. The west needs loyal people like you.

    • @carcher3279
      @carcher3279 4 года назад +5

      No Gurkhas are treated as mainly disposable colonial cannon fodder meanwhile UK has been changing its immigration laws to exclude even the most loyal hongkongers and former colonials. Don't come here because you will find there's nothing here for you. Just a few weeks ago London had the largest blackout in half a century -seems they can't even be bothered to keep the lights on in London anymore!

    You have to work to gain anything in life, nothing is given to you for free (unless you've inherited it, won it or just plain lucky). That includes learning the language of the country you're in. You can't complain about that when you've been in that country for more than 10 years. Even worse when you were born there! Don't sit about doing nothing and complain. Do something!
