I just found your website and I love your methods for processing gold
    You are an awesome teacher
    Hhank you so very much
I have a claim in BC Canada that has lots of supper fine gold in rust quartz
I have a small jaw crusher that is very helpful
I also use a tile saw to cut up pieces first to see if it's worth crushing
That said I have only watched a couple of your videos I have already learned a couple of useful tips
Thank you again and I look forward to watching more

My question is, do we need to roast tellurides before smelting or not?

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  29 дней назад +1

Yes brother thats right, if you're going through smelting, roasting is also best ideas for some reason, to remove some chemical bonds, and losing the strenght of rocks for easy crushing.

Any idea?

@ it seems roasting telluride is a bad idea, most of gold vanishes too 🥲, using diluted nitric acid (without roasting telluride) is the appropriate way, then cementing gold out with copper wires,, maybe that what happened with you, now your turn to prove or deny with an experiment 😂

By the way, there is something strange about the rock. Using only HCL and adding a couple of bases, I kept getting more Gold flakes than I ever expected. Will like to discuss with you.

I probably only got a 75 percent yield. I think soaking the stuff in nitric helped big time breaking the telluride down.
I took 150 ml of cons. And got 500 ml of settled very dense black powder. I think the saturation levels was at maximum that's why smb doesn't precipitate. The high saturation acts as a passivation.
But I think the sulfur is needed for the OH complex to form black that way.
When I dissolve gold teeth there is a bad sulfur smell. So I believe the sulfur helps complex the metal. Just a guess.
Just glad the powder came black not tan reddish color.
      Looks just like yours.
Next steps is washing real good

    • @hattricksprospecting1769

Oh also I had to keep rehydrating the solution because so much precious metals. Last time I failed to do that and a metallic complex formed almost like the tellurium recrystallizes. Keeping the reaction steady prevented that. Used a lot more acid than I thought would be needed.

It must have been about a decade ago that I tried to recover the gold from this type of gold ore but I did not succeed so I stopped because it was expensive, then no one would come back, then one day I thought about going back to it because it is difficult to find the gold nuggets, I think I used about ten beakers to observe him in different ratios of acids, there I saw in one beaker with good results so I continued.

Hello teacher, don't be tired, I am following your programs from Iran. I asked you if it is possible for you to teach me about extracting precious metals from rocks and soil through WhatsApp or Telegram. I will talk to you with Google Translate. Thank you. Your kindness and magnanimity, from the way of lithology, the characteristics of the stones you have are precious metals, until we can grind the stones and extract the base metal with borax and carbon (charcoal) and the combination with the primary stone that we powdered. and then perform the purification of precious metals, and why during the initial melting, two pieces of iron or steel are placed inside the plant, in general, what I am saying is that I want to extract metals from the heart of rocks and soil and find them from inside the houses. I want to learn the gold nugget from the soil of the house, is there a way for your programs to be subtitled in Farsi?

@@PoorMiners321 Hi, I wanted to learn how to extract gold from rock and soil. I don't know where to start. In order to do the primary smelting, how should I extract the metal from the rock and soil? Actually, I want to learn how to do this from zero to a hundred. I hope you understand what I mean. Be 🙏🏻🌹

I believe you had better stopped there (at 18:11),, and melt that mud into an ingot,, the final gain does not seem rational (about 8 grams out of 139 grams)!! Sylvanite contains about 28% gold, Calaverite contains about 43% gold .. There must be something wrong, brother !!?

Leaching by citric and hydrogen, what precipitant do you use?

    • @PoorMiners321

12 hours thats too long, prepare precipitant like iron sulfate, the precipitation is almost instant it depends on how much gold in you materials
