When he finished PoP, I was ready for him to be like "REALLY THAT'S IT ALL THEY DID WAS LOOK AT EACH OTHER BLARGHSHDVSJD". But when he went "Awww 🥺" I was so happy I wasn't the only one who really liked just that small scene

as much as i love hollow knights very subtle storytelling, i feel like they could've done SOMETHING to help people who haven't watched every single lore video be sure they understand. the magnitude of the single look they give each other, knowing that the idea instilled was what doomed the kingdom and cracked the vessel, and seeing its inception is a perfect reward, but by god do most people not understand that at the time lol.

Unapologetic professional music nerd here and it's music trivia time! When the Hollow Knight gets to his sad stabby phase, the music changes to what is clearly a reworking of the Hollow Knight theme in an homage to the Adagio by Samuel Barber. A piece widely viewed as one of the most ludicrously heart wrenching pieces of music ever written. It was played at the funerals of Albert Einstein and JFK, as well as at the Royal Albert Hall concert honoring the victims of 9/11. Seriously, go listen to it. Grab a kleenex first. And that's the same music as the PoP, which is just....chef kiss.
the music instrument thing is a joke off some twitch drama where another streamer acted like playing an instrument was unredeemably nerdy and uncool. it was explained somewhere in the prev streams (can't remember which one lol)

I might be a bit late here, but you can die during the radiance fight in steel soul mode and come out fine

@@BiIafy to my knowledge dream bosses don't count. Could be different with the Radiance though as (from my memory) it does spawn shade upon death.

wait what the fuck??? when he opened up his charm menu...like im genuinely confused. i didnt even know you could get this far on a first time playthrough and not have the majority of the charms in the game

Yeah as Girish said it only deals 1dmg but its the perfect time to hit him for soul or heal, using spell there is just... eh
The first boss music being muted is so weird, not just because none of the other music from this game needs to be muted, but also because _other boss fights in the same playthrough_ use that music and none of them needed to be muted.
There's a certain room of path of pain that I always associate with a certain football game, because I had it on in the background, and it took the length of the entire 3 hour game for me to finish that one room.
As someone with 112%, pop, and rad nkg, this humors me and gives me severe ptsd at the same time

First time i got to the end of PoP i died to the F ing kingsmoulds at the end... it took me 32h to get there in game time.
This has convinced me to go back and beat the white palace, I just gave up. Def gonna get back on it after seeing this
Finally did it, this video was the motivation I needed to go back and beat path of pain... holy shit the feeling of beating this was so worth it

That’s so sad but... how? If you use hiveblood and use the THK soul statue every time you need soul you should get there full soul and full hp, it’s easy to just spam shade soul and descending dark with one or two jumps to dodge to throw and your good...

I can get to radiance with no issues whatsoever but I just can't do radiance.
Try shaman stone, unbreakable strength, quick focus, and unbreakable heart- or if that’s too offensive and you’re still dying try deep focus, quick focus, grubsong and unbreakable strength (admittedly I haven’t used this last build for the normal radiance but I used it for the harder version of her and it helped there, so it’s probably good for the normal fight as well)
Spell Twister, Shaman Stone, spam Abyssal Shriek, and then Quick Focus to heal. If you have room maybe add UBS.
My charm loadout that I beat radiance with is shaman stone, spell twister, mark of pride, and quick slash

This is a year late lol but if you haven't figured it out already, there's a setting on the switch that lets you zoom in if you double press the home button

Shaman stone and Spell Twister are charms you always want to have equipped. If you feel during a boss that you don't have enough time to heal, use Quick Heal. Soul catcher is pretty doo doo. Also Radiance cheese is Shaman Stone, and Spell Twister, and then spam Abyssal Shriek.
