No way I'd bring donkeys over that pass! That trail looked so super sketchy in a few spots, but so friggin awe inspiring. You hit it at a primo time - great weather for some fantastic hiking. Keep up the nice work.
My husband and I are really enjoying your adventures and want to thank you for sharing them with us. If you're in Atlanta sometime, please let us treat you to a beer!
this has got to be the most comprehensive workup of the PCT ive ever seen... AWESOME job brother.... Thank you for making these videos... they have made me change my mind completely about which thru hike to complete... and I was about a full month into my planning for the AT!
Thanks for bringing me back to this beautiful place. I agree with your opinion that you are in one of the most beautiful places in America, and probably the world. Enjoy the rest of your hike!
Man dude I just wanna say thanks for taking us along and sharing the amazing views, and the incredible hikes your experiencing! Great job making these videos, your drawing us in and making it like we're one of your buddies.
Because of your videos i am definitely hiking Mount Whitney. your Forester pass video is one of the best I've seen, you're so lucky to complete the pass with no snow, 2 weeks ago Rebo was in a foot of snow over Forester Pass.can't wait to get out there. PCT class 2016, Thanks you and Two-Tone.
Awesome! Taking all the places I know, and making them look new and different! Kind of like, taking a vacation in your backyard; through the lens of your camera.
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. I look forward to every week in hopes that you will post a batch of new videos. Your journey had been awesome to follow. Keep it up! -Nate
I love your narrative through the video! Also, that you keep the language clean (some I've watched no so much!) I hope to do this with my son when he graduates from high school - four more years! But starting the planning already! We might start sectioning it next summer just so the wait isn't so long! :-)
Majestic scenery and I am not a little in awe of what you are undertaking. I would definitely have the jelly knees making that ascent and would probably be mentally exhausted after making it to the top. This trek would devour even good quality footwear and I wounder how your boots and feet are holding up. Good luck and happy trails to you.
Wow... the JMT is so breath taking. I won't ever be undertaking a thru hike of the PCT but I am going to make sure I conquer the JMT when one of my buddies from last year's AT journey embark on their on PCT thru hike in the next two years. Good luck man. The desert looked brutal at times but now you are into the most beautiful landscapes I have even seen, albeit through your lens though! Happy Tails dude, keep up the great footage. - 6 Slash
Thanks for all these postings and for putting together such awesome video! I love catching up on your adventure and wish you a successful journey! Thanks!
I really enjoy your videos. Your style and point of view really makes your content different from anything I have ever seen. Good luck and thanks for sharing!
I did the JMT in 1971 for the first time and it was awesome. I used to live in Bishop and Mammoth. I kept going back to sections that were the most beautiful. I hiked the JMT 2x, but way back when nobody had hiked the whole PCT until sometime in the 70's I never had any desire to hike through the desert as I had hiked Death Valley and Telescope peak and that was all the desert I wanted. Hike that all covered with snow, not so many people. I never hiked there so dry. You think that place is beautiful? You just wait, the JMT is the most scenic trail in the US. Gee, don't you guys know those weren't donkeys, they were jackasses or mules which are very surefooted.
Great videos. Definitely not too cold for the fish :) Sometimes the highest altitude lakes are barren, but more likely that you just scared them back into hiding before you could see any of them. I would really love to fish those streams running in and out of glacial lakes.
That's just insanely beautiful, such a marvelous place, no words to describe it, indeed! It almost feels like exotic place from Joules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth!!! Mind blowing two last uploads& more to come (Yosemite). Also such an awesome people on the trail! It almost forcing me to book a flight for the next year to the US and just do it! Or JMT at least :) Thanks so much Will!! Btw, where are you guys now? Few days behind Bishop/Independence?
Enjoyable video Will. So cool to be able to take this journey with you! Goodness, there's much for me to look forward to once I'm finally out there! #JMT
Thanks for sharing your hike. Enjoy your AT hike and the information you shared. Your gear reviews are very helpful. One piece of gear you have not mentioned. What gloves are you using? I’ve been looking but not sure what to get. Getting ready to do the AT next spring of 2016.
Some pretty incredible footage. Been enjoying your videos immensely. Keep them coming! Just curious, how has your hiking gear been holding up thus far?
I wish one day I'll be able to do this trek. Tough because I'd need a visa to stay in the US for so long. Thanks for your great videos Will. Do you know if anything can be done about the wind peaking the mic? I know Formula 1 commentators have that helping thing on their mics...
You think you so cool Red Beard, oh yeah well I taped the same pass back in 1998. Guessing you were just a lad. In my day we couldn't even find the trail. Actually hats off to your brother.
Love following you on this adventure! I had a JMT trip planned a few years ago but a broken leg put an end to it. Would love a gear update...how are things working? Still using the Brooks shoes? I can't seem to find solid hiking shoes and you seem to be having no issues with those Brooks.
Beautiful ! Did the elevation give you any dehydration headaches? And when you stopped for a few minutes to catch your breath at those higher elevations, how long did it take you to recover your strength to hike on for a little while?
How is your cook set working out? In the video it almost looks like you have the GSI Soloist strapped to the side of your pack. Great video's by the way. Watched the AT and enjoyed that.
Seems you guys have a third lung. These elevation changes are huge but you're just making it seem like you're on flat land. I have to get myself in shape to get out there and check that area out. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for your inspirational videos.
That place is so amazing that I want to eventually do it with my son's when I retire. The JMT that is. I saw a woman do the JMT as a section hike. Made me want to go but your endorsement cements it.
i feel like you have told us but I cant find it in any comments ..what guides and maps to you like and use? You seem to really know whats ahead and able to plan for water and food and camping....also what maps or guides would you recommend for most hiking trails throughout the U.S.
Love you videos I am using them to gear up for the trail.Unfortunately your info on the jmt is incorrect. Mt. Whitney is the highest point. That is actually the beginning/end of the jmt.
No way I'd bring donkeys over that pass! That trail looked so super sketchy in a few spots, but so friggin awe inspiring. You hit it at a primo time - great weather for some fantastic hiking. Keep up the nice work.
Absolutely THE BEST coverage on RUclips of a Forester Pass traverse!! Thanks for sharing (again)!!
My husband and I are really enjoying your adventures and want to thank you for sharing them with us. If you're in Atlanta sometime, please let us treat you to a beer!

Will, great capture of the pure essence of the hike, great narration also......wish I was there right now!
Awesome! Taking all the places I know, and making them look new and different!
Kind of like, taking a vacation in your backyard; through the lens of your camera.
Followed AT hike, now PCT. Loving it. Good luck Red Beard. What's next? Take care!
The views just take your breath away....I imagine it being a very spiritual experience up there!
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. I look forward to every week in hopes that you will post a batch of new videos. Your journey had been awesome to follow. Keep it up!

Man I can't get enough of your videos. You're definitely an inspiration. A true pioneer. How do you know Daniel? Thank you for the videos.

I did the JMT last year. Its great to see it again.

Keep up the good work. I really look forward to your posts. Loving the PCT.
I'll be crossing Donohue Pass on the 12th...looks like I may missinh you by a day or two. Glad to see you are enjoying the Sierra!
Those are more like Mountain Goat trails... LOL... Awesome!!! Great videos! Loved the AT videos as well!

Wow - no snow in the ice/snow chute area! Its weird to see it that way after seeing it during this year's vlogs, that's for sure. Go Red Beard Go!
+Leanne Scott 💚it was beautiful
The Lord's Creation is incredible!
Well done Will...
Enjoyable video Will. So cool to be able to take this journey with you! Goodness, there's much for me to look forward to once I'm finally out there! #JMT
Highest point on the PCT, Awesome ! Good times.
Thanks for bringing me along. Epic video!
Wonderful video. Thank you for your work Will!
It is interesting to compare your video against an older hiker who is a few weeks ahead of you. It seems you are hitting landmarks at the prime time.
Larry Cloyes You may be talking about Capt Dan. He has some great videos too. He had snow to deal with.
Totally awesome Will, thanks for posting!
Incredible videos, thanks for sharing.

Love you videos, they are very inspiring. Can't wait for the new ones:)
Can't wait till you hit the Oregon and Washington cascades
Some pretty incredible footage. Been enjoying your videos immensely. Keep them coming! Just curious, how has your hiking gear been holding up thus far?

With those rocks everywhere it looks like a mountain exploded
You think you so cool Red Beard, oh yeah well I taped the same pass back in 1998. Guessing you were just a lad. In my day we couldn't even find the trail. Actually hats off to your brother.
Excellent, truly inspiring.

Lovin' your videos! Thanks for sharing this! I know it must be a hassle! Hope everything is okay . . .
Beautiful ! Did the elevation give you any dehydration headaches? And when you stopped for a few minutes to catch your breath at those higher elevations, how long did it take you to recover your strength to hike on for a little while?
Great documentation! Nice video
How is your cook set working out? In the video it almost looks like you have the GSI Soloist strapped to the side of your pack. Great video's by the way. Watched the AT and enjoyed that.
epic journey! where are the new vids???
Seems you guys have a third lung. These elevation changes are huge but you're just making it seem like you're on flat land. I have to get myself in shape to get out there and check that area out. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for your inspirational videos.
Great videos Will, you're doing awesome! Do you need park passes or camp permits at any point on the trail especially in the National Parks?
Gorgeous video!
That place is so amazing that I want to eventually do it with my son's when I retire. The JMT that is. I saw a woman do the JMT as a section hike. Made me want to go but your endorsement cements it.
Thank You for the awesome videos!!
Simply awesome!
Love the videos as always
I think I might have seen you yesterday near echo lake. Just wondering if that was you. I was just finishing my troops 50miler.

i feel like you have told us but I cant find it in any comments ..what guides and maps to you like and use? You seem to really know whats ahead and able to plan for water and food and camping....also what maps or guides would you recommend for most hiking trails throughout the U.S.
My favorite app is Guthook. It has some glitches but still works great.
How do you edit and upload your videos from the trail
Love you videos I am using them to gear up for the trail.Unfortunately your info on the jmt is incorrect. Mt. Whitney is the highest point. That is actually the beginning/end of the jmt.
I was thru hiking the PCT not the JMT therefore that would make Forester Pass the highest point. Happy Hiking ✌🏼️
Burn
which time of the year was thaT about?
I know you undoubtedly already said but I missed it somehow; what camera are you using?
I've been using on this hike and my past a Sony HDR-AS100V. Great little action cam. They have newer versions out now.
Will Wood How long do you go in between charges?
What guide did you use?
