I have 1 15" DS18 HOOL-X15.2DHE on a JP63. My 2nd 15" should be here in a day or two. I wish I had enough room to build a 6th order for them, but I am looking to buy another SUV so I can have another purpose built vehicle. I have never built a 6th order, but I am starting to do plenty of research to do so. Love watching your videos! I try to explain to my friends how much a properly built box makes a difference, but I don't think that they understand until I show them your videos. 😂
Bad ass‼️‼️ I heard about the directronix site couple weeks ago. Been looking at sa v3 8 or maybe x8 v3 8s. Wanna do 4 but not sure I can fit 4 x8 v3 8s ported I have 3.5cu net I can get under my seat. Sure those subs on the site are legit built
I know you have a lot of experience with the single sub setup I'm trying to get into competitive audio and I just installed my autotech alternator and VCM with a 29AH SCIB bank charging at 15.8 I bought a new Deafbonce AAK 6000.1 and a new 15" incriminator audio Tyrant rated for 5K RMS with a down 4 sound HD3 single 15 enclosure going to upgrade my mids and highs next week but I'm wondering if the down 4 sound enclosure will work for the Tyrant I am still waiting on the sub and enclosure the sub has a Frequency response of 24 HZ the enclosure is around 4.5 cubic feet after sub displacement and is tuned to 32HZ with a triple baffle and double sided all the rest unsure if there is a better single 15 enclosure out there besides a custom built one any idea if it will work out ok
I have 2 questions if you could be so kindly to answer for me. Did you modify the box at all after switching from the sddn's and how much air space is your enclosure. I'm gonna do a 6th order wall in my e39 bmw with 2 18's and I'm hoping I will have enough airspace cause it looks like your using a massive enclosure. I truly enjoy watching your videos. Your honestly my favorite system and I'm hoping to get a 160 as well!!! 🎉
I was about to get a pair of Hooligan 15s but now I'm thinking about a pair of these. I'll be pushing them with 2 Surge 7ks and 96ah of lithium @ 14.4.
Where can I find the box sizes for these subs? I’m looking to get a single 12. I have the subwoofer specs already but can’t locate any info for a proper enclosure. Thanks in advance.
I adjust sub level with an oscope on my RCA's to determine voltage prior to amp tuning. So no my sub level is not at zero. I had to increase to get adequate rca voltage.
For what I'm doing specifically, I personally prefer the SDDN. BUT, you get what you pay for. The SDDN 18 is a $1400 sub. The dreamsicle 18 is $600. They're both absolute monsters at the price points respectively.
I understand now why he cant really run 4 of those 18s in that vehicle probably not even 3 of them because the box is just too big. So realistically for 4 of those 18s that box could take up an entire express van but it would be absolutely violent as hell
Got a question bro how do you think these compare too the sundown xv3s. Imma be using them for daily subs but I wanna be able smash the lows but still have good frequency range in your opinion you think the dreamsicles are a better option?
The dreamsicles handle more power and are truly bottomless. The x series are also very efficient and badass for the price point. You can't go wrong with either one.
63 per gained matched at 0.5 ohm. I do not give them full power very long at all though, as these 63s blow even the biggest subs I've ever ran in seconds if I sauce them lol
Yes that's what I'm estimating is 5-6k per a click down, and they take is a good while before a slight smell starts to set it. At the end of the day it's still a 3" coil but MAN does it take some SERIOUS power for what it is.
@@SingleSubScrub I am extremely impressed, I really didn't have much expectations I think it would be a platinum clone or maybe a platinum with a ti basket. But these are performing so much better then what I imagined they ever could, I have 8-18's and my wipers don't flap like that but I have a little bit of a stronger truck then u do. Anyway it goes This setup would break a lot of hearts at shows
@SingleSubScrub awesome to hear , I'm doing a 3 sddn 18 6th order in a 96 honda accord lol I keep watching your videos and the 2 are absolutely violent
Yes box is 90% of it, but having tested a lot of high end subs in it, these absolutely hang with them in thermal handling/output. Best subs at the price point imo.
a BRO LIVE IN ILLINOIS 2 QUAD CITIES ACTUALLY GOT A 75 MONTE CARLO WITH 2 EMF BANHAMMER 15S MY SON HAS A DEAF BOUNCE 4515R ....SO YA WE LIKE SLAMMIN LOL WHAT KINDA BOX IS THAT? I WANT MY MONTE TO BE WINDY LIKE THAT
It’s not about the sub. It’s the box and vehicle. Derik from sundown audio has the cheapest 18” sundown 1 of them being hit with over 40,000 watts and hold records. And $500 for that sub isn’t budget
Budget is subjective and isn't determined by a specific number. Yes box matters but I've tested multiple top end subs in this enclosure, and for how much power and output these subs have, they are indeed a great budget sub to most at this price point. 😁

Those scores @32hz is wild
Wow putting up sddn numbers with a 3” coil. I’m glad I got my order in I can’t wait for my 15s.
What’s the box specs on them??
Adding my comment to this so I can also see box sizes for a 12.
Them subs are beastly!! Flip them motor boots around 😎
I know, they're tight and I was impatient 😂
Are you ever gonna post sddn scores ?
I no longer have them.
Extraordinary subs, but there are reasons I didn't post scores. I'll explain in a future video.
Holy shit bro that's fucking getting down 💪💪
wow i just checked these are actually quite affordable nice on 160+ from 2 18s!!!!
LETS FUCCCIN GOOOOOO🗣️‼️ CONGRATS BRO and OMG 157 on music??
That's a click down too 😁 mid 158s easy if I actually sauce em

Wow, congrats on new score
nasty!! i'm ordering four of these for my winter build! 6th order in my little jeep liberty. cant wait
That is an excellent score on that low of cone area

Heck yeah it is, to get that high of score on 2 woofers at 32hz and the wind is impressive.

Dammmm 160 with 2 18s wooow broo congrats
I'm thinking 6 of those in a 6th 🤔
I’m getting 2 of these 12s and putting them in Taramps 8k. Hope it absolutely slams

I could easily redesign and run x4 18s. Would just be a smaller ratio

How much of an upgrade do you think these would be over RS platinums?
I'd say it's significant if you are looking to extend your low end capabilities

Out of what you listed here the SDDN hands down

40,000W into a SA-V2-18? 11 times the RMS of a SDDN? Does he cool it in LNO2 then do a .05s burp at a very specific frequency?
Dreamsicles FTW!
