I'll be running the dreamsicles for my next build if they stay around a similar price point that they're at now. You can't beat the performance for the price. What would they be compared to? I'd think DC XL Elite, or Sundown Xv3 or Zv6
Im in the market for new 12s. I currently have 2 avatar stu 12s D1s but wanna switch to D2s. Just got a jp83 and want to run it at .5 ohm. Tired of wanting more. Lol. Thinking about getting the dreamsicle 12s but not sure about being one of the first with them. My box is 5.5 cubes tuned to 28hz, 8" big ass port. Buying new subs is a really tough decision. Lol
@@SingleSubScrub Any Idea what the smallest ported enclosure I could do for a 15? I probably only have 3.5-4 cubic feet available in my trunk but maybe I could get away with more.
Hey guy, totally appreciate your videos. Can you help me with something? What do you think about the single layer spider on the Dreamsicle 18? Other high power big dollar subs seem to be pretty proud of their 8 layer or 10 layer spiders. But I believe a softer, more compliant spider is more efficient. So a single layer spider makes sense to me. What do you think? Thanks for your help. 😊
Single layer spider would not perform well at all. It dictates power handling, and natural resonance. These subs are conpeltely stock, and work perfectly.
Hey bro do u happen to sell designs? I wanna learn how to build these 6ths myself but really don’t have the time and money to screw em up over and over and no luck thru research
Pass on the Avatars. They get loud. But the bandwidth in multiple custom boxes really lacked. These will likely blow those smooth away from what I’ve seen.
More power handling, motor is truly bottomless, very similar output and fs. I'd say the dreamsicle wins, especially considering it's priced the same or even less
@@RandomBlackGuyisrandom just FYI those svl avatars tend to rip softies like nobodies business if you feed them anything overrated, not hating! Just fair warning. :)
@@SingleSubScrub Wit for real? I have two XV3 15s and they really suck that bad? :| that is pretty crappy. Do you recommend a good 15 then? I have a JP83 and had every intention of using it. I'd say very comparable to the xv3/zv5. Handle a TON of power.
And they'll be back in stock very soon with upgrades! (More xmax, taller coils ECT)
Awesome my G!! I truly need two of those 15 inch subwoofers. Shoot me the link

Do you recall enclosure specs at all (top and bottom net)?

The new Directronix DREAMSICLE sub line, and a JP63 per sub at 0.5 ohm each.
@@SingleSubScrub what electrical and battery bank?
Nice to see a video from you brotha. Is that a custom motor by them or used from another line?
This motor has been researched, developed, and tested by them around 3 years prior to this release.
@@SingleSubScrub nice I'm waiting for zv7s to drop. Gonna sell all 4 of my rs teams to fund hopefully half of the cost
What upgrades are you expecting from the v7? The v6 was a letdown compared to v5
Bro your builds be crazy windy,I'm seriously considering these as my next sub swap, what's your thought on the spider bro, basshead to basshead?
They're literally perfectly setup stock imo. DTX are actual bassheads who developed this sub for years. So it's very well balanced

😁
Are these production or prototype, most production these days going with bolt down spider rings. you can tell there is hand glueing done here.
These just released. No bolt down landing required. Even with how hard I've been on these I haven't had a single issue with glue joints.
How much power are you running on these 2? Plus what's the ported box specs on each?
Power? A lot lol. And it depends on the size. I'd say x/z box specs would do really well considering the similarities
