I use it for recipes, like scalloped potatoes, so the saltiness blended into everything. I use whichever brand I happened to have on hand. Out of curiosity I came here to see how they compared.
@@LGSPTJ That's hilarious. The first time I ever had cream of mushroom soup was when I was a kid. My dad made it with milk. I never read that can once. I'll you one thing. I'm not going back.
@@xetaprime Ugh, Tell me about it. I got a soup mug this christmas and being the dumb 19 year old i am, i attempted to heat some up in my soup mug with milk and water and microwaved as per the instructions. Literally worst soup ever. id rather have tomato soup which was my previously least favorite soup. at least that goes good with pretzel bread.
Nothing like drinking some wine and testing out some cream of mushroom soups
I know! :)
Good to know! Especially since I'll use it to make gravey with my pork roast.. so it doesn't really have to look visually appealing as much

Salt tolerance is real. Campbell's was very salty to you. I added more salt to my bowl and it was delicious, lol.
Ha! I love salt but getting older, it can have an impact. I do use it and a lot D'Ohhh!!! :)
Does everyone use water? I've used milk since I was a kid. I didn't even find out that using water was a thing until I watched this video.
I used water because that's the first instruction. They say for thicker use milk. I do normally use milk though.
@@xetaprime Thanks for the reply. In terms of taste which do you find better? I'm not gonna waste a can of precious soup if I don't have too.
It's literally the instruction on the can.

Most sodium goes right through people, i want huge chunks of mushrooms with some creamy flavor.
Sounds good to me! :)
I've never had cream of mushroom soup from any brand. I have had it freshly made though.
"I have had it freshly made though." Aren't you special :)
@@xetaprime Haha! The benefits of having worked at Sur La Table.

i dont use it for soup! i use it for cooking stuff
You’re not supposed to eat “creams of soup” of anything plain like that. They’re meant to be used in recipes with other ingredients like casseroles.
Now you tell me :)
I would never think to eat it as ‘soup’. Only ever use in recipes.
IT SAYS 'SOUP' RIGHT THERE ON THE CAN!!!! :)
