I always loved cooking, especially for my Father but when he passed it all stopped. Cooking for myself seemed pointless. Until I re-discovered Visions Cookware. I tried Visions in the 90s and hated it. But I fell in love with it this time around, the beauty of it! Cooking became fun again!
I'm no chef but I love to cook! I love all sorts of cookware old and new. I love all kinds of food! I love other stuff too! Hopefully in my sharing there might be something you enjoy.
If there is anything you'd like to see, let me know.

Check out these GREAT Stainless Steel Bowls 😁
Dang ... no Stagg's. I'm looking to buy bulk, canned chili (no beans) but so far, the ingredients are horrible (corn starch, soy, oatmeal, sugar, etc.). I'll keep searching.
That pan is well worth every penny spent!
One of the worst pans I ever bought. Vollrath Wear-Ever gets my vote :)
@ikura prime what was the “grease” you rubbed on the glass lips?? I’ve seen other videos that says to wet with water. Anyone please feel free to let me know 🙏🏾
Yes they usually say water. I used homemade Ghee. I thought fat, would make a better seal and some people put Ghee in their coffee. Softened butter would work too. Just what I do :)
So what’s it taste like then?? 🤓
I haven't tasted it in 62 years! Pretty much how it smells! I do remember :)
note to yourself: cook soup before you cooked meth.
Oh Man! :)
I feel nothing but pity for this man. I get "just divorced and lost everything" vibes. Now he's in a shed trying to find a reason to keep going 😭
I spilled acetone on some styrofoam and it turned into a similar fluid, I'm glad to see that's not what i was playing with back then.
Where's the big smasher burger sauce recipe?
Good question! Their website just says Thousand Island. I used Great Value Thousand Island. I can't say what their ingredients were but it was delicious!
That looked really interesting. They really used to work hard coming up with recipes for their products back in the day.
Before making the video I googled mixing these two soups together. Such a simple idea and the leftover today was delicious! I think some bacon would 'BAM' it over the top. Note to self! Hey! I Hope you're having a great weekend Tucker. Good Sunday in advance :)
We had so much fun as kids with those things. I so want a label maker but I’m not gonna worry about one now just mark it with a permanent marker. Not the greatest but it’ll work. Happy Saturday Xeta.
Happy Saturday back to you debbie! We all had them back when didn't we? I had a black one with a white wheel. I don't remember throwing it away. I'm so sad the new ones feel so cheap. Add another to the heap of history :(
Haha I’ve go one packed away somewhere 😂😂😂
Dymo dyed😂😂
Dymo D'Ohhh!!! 😂
Thanks!. I've been wanting a Dymo for a while and you saved from buying the wrong one.
You're welcome. I'm so disappointed with the new label maker! :(
I still have the label maker..Do they still make the tape for it ????
Yes they do, but I think they discontinued the 1/4" tape. You can still find some new old stock on ebay. Most of the tapes available are 3/8".
Ha! I guess they were right! I agree sometimes you just have to try a recipe, even if it sounds questionable. Same with mixed drinks. Some that sounded terrible are now my favorites, like brandy and soda. I'm going to make this soup this weekend, my roommate loves anything that has Campbell's soup in it.
Right? I will be making this again! And I have to ask, since I have a bottle of Brandy here... what's your fave soda to go with it?
@xetaprime To be honest, I just use mixers in the small cans from Walmart. I think it's just labeled 'Club Soda'. Don't tell my snooty co-workers though. I think it was Doris Day's drink, which is the only reason I tried it.
Hey Xeta, sorry I haven’t weighed in lately, just been souper (haha) busy..
Howdy Rick! Souper busy huh? heh heh no worries. I was a bit lost all of last week I tell ya! Happy weekend to ya!
I have had this 5 differant ways and it is great!! thank you for sharing...has to be good tho..I was born in 1953:) watching for more recipes:) need some with cabbage please:)
Happy B'Day 53! Cabbage. I'm due for some cabbage :)
I'll have to try this Thx!
Had leftovers today. Loved it still! :)
I like both so yeah I can see it would be very tasty. Great video Xeta. Actually in away money saving. I mean soup in a can and it made quite a bit. Need crackers.😀
Have to say love the music too
I'm so grateful, beyond words to the musicians who offer up their music. Some of my favorites are by Scott Buckley. Just amazing work!
If you wrap a small piece of foil over the top of the stem, you can easily fill the basket with grounds without them getting in the stem. I’m convinced percs make the best diner style coffee, way better than drip.
Man, such a simple and awesome idea! Life changing! Seriously thank you!
@@xetaprime thank YOU for the videos!
Agreed, perc’d coffee IS way better than drip, my favorite way to brew it!! Next I guess would be French press..either way, Xeta has the right idea, fresh ground beans!!
Which one did you enjoy more? The Great Value orange chicken or the Great Value General Tso’s?
I liked the Orange Chicken best. I'm due for a bag. Thanks for the reminder :)
GOD, but this brings back childhood memories! Even the Osterizer blender, which is what she used all the time. The internals of that percolator are exactly like what my mother used to make coffee every morning. The external was more of a cylindrical shape, though. Back then, before we knew about freshly-ground beans, etc, she scooped using the little plastic scoop from the Stewart's Coffee tin and brewed the pot. Only my mother and father drank coffee back then (I was way too little). My father took it black; my mother's was obliterated with milk and sugar. Can I get an "Oy vey!" from the congregation?
Funny, I know my Father drank it black, not sure about my Mother. My most vivid memory is Dad teaching me how to make them instant coffee! Memories I tell ya!
@@xetaprime Yes, but... you didn't give me an "Oy vey!"
Cute little percolator. 4 cups is perfect for singles and couples. I can see what you mean by the handle design. It looks cool and angular but now I can see why it would burn. Be careful Xeta!
Hey Tucker! Agreed! I love 4 cup sized percolators! Yeah, someone on ebay is selling brand new vintage handles for the 4 cups. I'm very tempted just so I have it... decisions, decisions! OY!
Beautiful coffee pot. I love stovetop coffee makers. I have a a couple of perculators but my favorite is stove top. Nothing like a pot of hot Joe! Happy weekend Xeta.
Happy weekend debbie! There's nothing like the smell of percolator coffee filling up the room!
Haha Debbie, I love my muddy water too! I have several vintage and new percolators, stove top and electric. Heyyy to hubby😁
It's funny that you would review this pot today. Just last night I watched, "The Naked City" (movie 1948) free on RUclips. At 6:57 Barry Fitzgerald is in his kitchen, and there on the stove is your coffee pot. So the model you have is at least that old. Thanks for your videos they are informative with a witty sense of humor.
I went over and watched the clip! Ha! and Cool! Thanks for sharing that! :)
As a child, my bedroom was right off the kitchen. My parents would fix the coffee pot the night before and plug it into a timer. I would hear the percolator and smell the coffee before I got up. Such wonderful memories! I think percolators make the best coffee.
Awe cool story! Why haven't I thought of using a timer! :)
Kool pot! When I saw it I thought you would use an aluminum plate to protect it from the heat.
I usually use the aluminum disc when the perc is smaller than the burner. This was so close I decided not to use it... But I did think about it! :)
Just picked up a fancy silex double bubble for $6 at a thrift store. Ive never seen one before so checking out videos to see how they work. Amusing video,Good idea on the stand, nice touch! Mine needs some little filter pads...thumbs up!
Thanks and $6 SCORE!!! I still use that cut-up water bottle even though I have a proper stand now. IDK why :)
Diggin' the glass sauce pans.
:)

why grind the lip off?
Okay, so I didn't. But none have lips. Smooth right to the edge. I said that because I like things to match. I can be a little OCD :)
@@xetaprime totally understand. I thought it was bad in some way. I like things to match too
@@xetaprime ps. thank you for the content

You liked the Brandy Baja Blast the best!😂
I did! I really did :)
This is my first having Stagg Chili I eat other brands but this is my first, I got the steakhouse reserve, hearty beef with a kick of green chilies. It's a six pack box set.
I haven't tried that yet. What do you think of it?

Uhm... LOL! :)
Wow 47 years old i had this at 8. Flashbacks
Indeed :)
Great video! What do you use if the pot has a few light scratches on it? Also, what is the purpose of the sandpaper? (Or at what point do you use it?) Thank you
A few light scratches I's till use Mothers mag aluminum polish. Maybe several passes. Sometimes using fine sandpaper helps with polishing. The aluminum is so old that breaking the surface a little helps it shine and helps remove tiny scratches.
@@xetaprime thank you
You just put multiple RUclips influencers out of business. What a great contribution. Thanks.
Ha! You're welcome LOL! :)
Oh, salad wrap...
New to stainless steel and was getting frustrated with my eggs sticking and watched all videos saying to get the pan to leidenfrost effect heat. Seems like the eggs were burning and hence sticking, Will try this method out, perhaps beady water hot pan is too hot for eggs and will cause it to stick?
Yeah. Lots of people love beady water hot. I just wanted to show it doesn't have to be. Let us know how it went :)
My roommate has a sentimental attachment to his late Mothers set of Revere Ware, so that's what we use. Even though I do most of the cooking. I'm team Farberware, which is vastly superior. Funny thing though, the Revere Ware has grown on me to the point where I have added to the set from ebay, and even the swap shop at the dump. It does have it's pluses, and if you adapt your technique to it's weak points you can cook very well in it. Thanks for the demo.
I hear ya, I do. And Farberware IMO is one of America's greatest! :)
