this ride is truly incredible, definitely my favorite rollercoaster in the world, the detail put into this ride is amazing.

For anyone watching this unsure if they wanna go on it or not. Go on it! I don’t like roller coasters that much and I went on this and I loved it. It’s my new favorite ride. The backwards part isn’t bad at all and the 80 ft drop is over in 3 seconds and the rest is just fun.

I went on it and I never felt so many Gs on a coaster before. I've never once felt heavy on a coaster before and this one blew it out of the mountain. I would go on it again if I ever go back to Florida.

this coaster was the best thing that happened to the Animal Kingdom park, all of the adult groups of guests make a beeline straight for this ride. While I'm certainly not a big coaster guy myself, I hope they get more big coasters in the future after the success of this one.
Is it weird that I get excited/nervous jitters when I anticipate roller coasters? Like, when I wait in line for a coaster that in new or even one I've been on purely from nervous excitement my legs start uncontrollably shaking, like, a really bad cold shiver kind of. Just watching this makes me so excited to be there that I am getting those jitters for some reason... O.o should I see a doctor? Lol
+Siena H. No it isn't weird at all its part of the bodies response system to fear and things that may hurt you. But biologically you are fine if it bothers you see a doctor but from the psychological aspect that I'm looking from you seem ok :D hope that helps Im a psychologist in training lol :D
Brandon Murray oh, ok ty haha. That makes sense. It doesn't bother me much, it is just jitters of adrenaline, like the kind you get when boarding a roller coaster for the very first time. I guess the adrenaline from watching this and thinking about the excitement of riding it just got my blood pumping and gave me the jitters XD
I got the same way when I seen this video. It looks awesome I have not been able to get on this ride the line is always long. Have you ever been on the mine train over in Magic Kingdom that's a great ride too if you ever get a chance try it you will love it.
Brandon Murray Unfortunately I have never afforded to go to the Magic Kingdom since Florida is too far from where I live so it would be expensive, so we usually go to Disneyland in Cali cause it is way closer and cheaper. Someday I'll go though! For dure the firsp park I go to is the MK, but my.close second would be Animal Kingdom because I just love animals and wildlife and honestly I'd probably be gushing all day about how beautiful all of the animals are cause honestly to me there is no such thing as a really ugly animal XD
Siena H. Got ya I hear what you are saying I don't blame you. I haven't been to California yet too far from where I live as well. But I do plan on trying to get out there sometime this summer. I also love animal Kingdom it is my second favorite part. No animal is a ugly animal I would agree with you. I'm the same way I go there all the time just too see the animals and because the park closes early and I can go to the other ones. Animal kingdom is a great park though very enjoyable.
When I rode this and it was waiting at the top part that was broken someone in the ride said “YOU REALLG GON DO IS LIKE DAT”?

Wow the design of this ride looks beautiful, with the winter'ish feeling, and the ruined tracks before it goes backwards etc, brilliant. Disney = amazing as always when it comes to entertaining the masses!

I wish I could ride Roller Coasters but I hate the feeling I get in my Stomach, lol I don't know how people can cope :(
I feel ya, but you actually get pretty used to it after riding a couple (at least that's how it goes for me).
The stuff at disney is nothing, They are almost all Baby coasters, I have been doing them for so long and almost all rides in any park try to scare your before your actually get on.
I've learned that for me, the best is to get on a simple ride first, so that you get acclimated with the feeling. Once your body gets used to it, the more intense rides become a little easier.

Who needs the stress? This ride was aweful with the corkscrew backwards. I would rather stay in the hotel and screw lol

2:13 At this part I honestly felt like I was going through a backwards loop. Seeing it was just a helix makes me have a mixed bag of emotions.
Same but its actually a 50 degree curve right there that makes you feel like your going upside down or a backwards loop

I remember i rode right there in the same exact spot when i was 8. i didn't wanna ride it but i did and this brought back memories. Plus i rode it with my Grandfather who loves roller coasters. it was special in a way

I remembered there being a lot of hair ties on the right side of where the tracks are ripped apart. This was in Disney World at Orlando.

The strobe effects with the Yeti at the end was absolutely terrifying. Looked like it was coming so close to me.
It used to work cause it was a animatronic and it actually used to swoop down at you it was suppeeerrr scary

Yes, I have never left Kansas or Oklahoma but have an obsession with high altitude mountain climbing. I have read four different books in the last few months about Everest, K2, and the Andes mountains. Those mountains are so scary, inhospitable, but also beautiful.
Chris Kilts IT'S THE BEST EVEN AT NIGHT WITH ALL THE LIGHTS!! you cna see all the parks at the top and all the fireworks at the other parks and at that park!

OH MY GOD I still remember this as a child right down to the yeti pulling up the tracks and going backward!
BEST RIDE EVERRRR!!! When it’s raining in like March or something I can go on that ride with a 5 minuet wait. You can sit in the back or front, so awesome

I love this ride! My friend rode it one time a couple years ago and the ride got stuck right at the part where it starts to go backwards and got to see the effects they use for the ride when she exited through the emergency exit.
How did u shot that? If I would be sitting on Expedition Everest on the first row I would be loosing the camera XD
I hold the camera with both hands and use a camera strap for added safety.

I went on this ride when I was about 8 or 9 and my family had no idea what it was or what would happen. Once we went backward I screamed, "I REGRET THIS I HATE YOU MOM AND DAD". I'm still scarred a little bit.

It doesn't really go upside down. It does go backwards. Its a very very good roller coaster though! This was my first time ever riding a coaster when I was on it and it was still amazing.

Our family just got back from Disney World two days ago and it was amazing! This coaster is a ton of fun! Took my 12 year old nephew on it with me and he loved it. Make sure your hat and glasses are stowed in the pouch by your feet as I lost a $260.00 pair of oakleys on this ride...lol.
Looks like a pretty cool coaster. When I make it back to WDW someday, might be worth a trip to Animal Kingdom just to ride this!

Cringe Co. hey! So it definitely gives that “stomach drop feeling”, the forward drops are not bad but when you’re in the pitch black and go straight up backwards, that’s what really made me feel awful! Otherwise it was a great ride!

I was so scared of that ride! Leading up to our Disney vacation, I couldn’t even look at the promos or pictures. I went on it and loved it! I loved the experience!!

I rode expedition everest for the first time when I was 7 years old and I haven't been back on it in the eight years since because it scared the crap out of me. My family couldn't get me to stop crying for at least half an hour.
I almost lost my magic band on this ride, thankfully it landed next to me
When I was in the front I felt like I was going to fall off the broken tracks

this ride is truly amazing but It's not as fast as it used to be and the yeti part used to me more exciting but It's still a great

I have had the pleasure of seeing the Yeti in all three forms. The original A mode and all its moving Glory. The Limited B mode where it just moved a little and naturally, Disco Yeti form that we see today. I miss the original A Mode. That Yeti was truly scary when it was moving around and clawing at the train.
I saw them all too. The original was incredible. Joe Rhode said during a D23 event a few years ago that it would be fixed someday.
@@ithemeparkOFFICIAL Not gonna lie... I watch that clip every few months to remind myself. But I understand it wont happen until Everest gets a major revamp. They need to cut open the mountain to get to the foundations so that will take a lot to work on it. At least I believe its a foundation issue.

Went on this with my uncle and brother. My brother almost puked and my uncle didn't like the ride. I had my hands up and I loved it. It was so fun when you go backwards

rode this rollarcoatser... but last seat! We were the first to go backwards! That was my first time riding the coaster, it was amazing... we went to the animal kingdom just to ride this!! ahhhh memories

I remember when I visited this park when I was seven, and my dad and my sister would like to try this, I couldn't even look at it. Being from an overseas country, I didn't know english very good by then, so for a good thirty minutes or so I just stood there, waited for my sister and dad to come down from that terrifying thing.

I went on this five times in one day, I was soooo lucky there was no line.

We did this coaster for the first time, yesterday. Although this video is very well done, You can't capture watch it's really like to do this ride without doing it. I knew the tracks were going to be wrecked. I knew all about the ride. It didn't matter. Don't try this right after eating lunch.
perfect for scaredy-cats like me who can't let myself ride the actual ride. i love watching them and pretending im there so I don't feel that rush of fear but still enjoy the experience.

something went wrong when they were planning weight-loads on their CAD, and the Yeti is cracking the actual infrastructure of the ride on the inside layers, which is why all the problems keeping him from A mode were completely missed in early inspection, though they caught it soon enough that it isn't a safety concern. He just won't get turned back on until they do a full blown refurbishment and take parts of the mountain apart.
Man, I always wondered why WDW never got a Matterhorn...then I see this! Looks really fun, I hope I can make it out to Florida soon. Thanks for sharing.

Yep! That's a backwards loop! I never realized that, but after I got off once, I was told that there was a backwards loop.
3:14 I just found out about the yeti animatronic that they had on this ride before it permanently went into b mode and it’s pretty creepy how it’s still there just abandoned with lights behind it to make it look like it’s part of the ride

I rode this about a month ago. I rode it 6 years ago, but didn't remember much of it. It wasn't until we got the picture back that I realized my arm was hanging out the side of the cart the entire time! My family got pretty mad at me and I'm lucky my arm didn't get sliced off or anything.
