All the way to 2003's last edition, quality and components might've changed a little but the process was the same. That's how reliable the VW bug was. Like a mechanic I know once said: the perfect car.
@Naghelfar1 2004 is the year, the last edition had a very classic look, a beautiful Bug indeed, Mexico proudly the last country producing this ingenier miracle.
@dtmbcorp The Last of them left the Puebla VW factory in 2004 and took to the main plant in wulfsburg, his mass production became too expensive and his sales falled too much is what they say but honestly i dont know about any other compact that has that fame and also participates in the Baja 1000, VW beetle is an amazing car, cheers from Baja Mexico.
Chris, remember back maybe 25 years ago when the 60's and 70's VW cars got old that the front end would get severely rusted and sometimes break?? I would call it common but it did happen as i bought an 69 and it was badly rusted and brought it to a place and they 'braced' it so it wouldn't break
@vwbugsrule Only if you mean that your car came from Australia, 'cause that's where THAT plant is. This video was not made at the Wolfsburg plant in Germany.
@vwbugsrule Are you in Australia then? Because the factory being shown is in Australia, and I've noticed some folks on the other videos got a little confused...you never know.
@sanjathefabulous they make junk now a days chevy is the biggest junk today GAS HOGS they well never make a better car than the bug fuel efficient easyer to find parts for.never worry about over heating or computer failers or electronic fuel injection problems
one of the best cars ever built.
I love these old films

I thought I went crazy when I saw a 1989 aircooled beetle 3 years ago lol
I owned 5 bugs back in the day, a '61, two sunroof '62s, a '63, and a '66. My dad also owned a ceramic green '60 like the one in my thumbnail.
Got to love beetles, I have a 1975 VW beetle, viper green colour with only 60 thousand on the clock.
I have a restored 1966 sitting in my yard, I love VW's!!!!!

My dad own 1303 63' in red. And he like to keep it like new. No modification. Only replace anything that broken. And i'm proud my father own one :-D
The 1303 started to build in 1973.... if it’s build 1963 its broblb 1200 lim
I would like to see the full video, because I'd like to see how the rear quarter panel is attached.

...And you can also find the Beetles during a chase scene through San Francisco in the movie "Bullit" staring Steve McQueen!!!
Wow. Great video. We had a ‘64 beetle. Awesome car but have to laugh about rust protection!!
My Beetle could be one of those on the production line!
Those presses would be worth a fortune
