Hi Alison. I live in Katy, Texas. I found your video by accident ... I LOVE IT! I have now made 5 baby blankets in this pattern so far. The last one I made was light gray, med gray and navy. It turned out beautiful !!! The colors were picked by the person that asked me to make it for her. Your tutorials are the best! Just wanted you to know that us crocheters out here are watching, learning, and enjoying each and every stitch. Thank you so very much!! Karen
I have been a knitter for over 40; years ! I could never get on with crocheting, but through you I am having fun practicing. Not made anything yet because I am practicing various stitches. Thank you for making it enjoyable, trying this blanket and have successfully completed my frilly border ❤️
Who gave this a thumbs down?... you plonker this lovely lady is jyst trying to pass on ideas to keep busy and has been teaching crochet online for all to learn a new hobby and craft. So take that thumbs down back.. you know who you are.
Exactly I totally agree with your comment Amy, why do idiots put thumbs down on Alisons video's. She goes to a lot of effort putting her video's together & gives handy tips, even says where to buy the best priced wool (Home Bargains etc...) I've watched many of her craft video's too. I made a cat bed last year from reclaimed wool from an old jumper and rope this was brilliant & machine washable. My elderly house cat loves it ❤ 🐱 Alison did a great video explaining how to make this very inexpensive cat/dog bed, kept me busy for some time. Giving thumbs down to Alison Russell's video's on you-tube is nasty & I hope they do take them thumbs down back. Alison is helping like so many others on line U-tube to engage us in projects to help us witch the news channels off & not to engage in social media. As many with high anxiety & mental health problems are suffering at the moment in social isolation & lock down with fear of the coronavirus. I am subscribed to her channel

Thnak you for this pattern. I have been crocheting blankets for more than 60 years, and this is just another favorite. In this lock down I have learned to sleep with my and hook. Stay safe. It too will pass.
Hi Allison, this is a beautiful blanket and I am going to make it, I learned how to crochet when I was 8 years old, I am now 78 and have been crocheting all my life, I love it, keeps me sane, especially now at this terrible time in our lives, thank you so much for your great videos, it is such a pleasure to listen to you and watch your talent, thank you Allison, hope you and your family are healthy and safe, God bless, xoxoxo Michelle

I very rarely comment. I really like your tutorials. I will not only make this pattern as a baby blanket but I plan to use it the 1st time as a wrap. Thank you
With this pattern I made a beautiful handbag for my granddaughter, and decorated with flowers, and she loved it. I'm crocheting my second one, the first one was pink, the second one is purple, for another little girl. Now, I'm in trouble because I have to make another blue one. Thank you for your video, it made 3 little girls happy, and a granny very proud. Never thought I could make it.

This is the first project I have crocheted as a novice that I can manage to keep the EDGES perfectly even! I am so thrilled with this pattern, it looks gorgeous in thick chenille yarn and larger 8mm hook. Thank you so much for your patience Alison and clear instructions. I think I can finally crochet!
You are so welcome, and well done. now try my newest upload its a puff stitch super easy and will be great if you have any chenille left. It crochets quick too.
Of course you can crochet Anna!!! Never give up! Alison makes it so clear! I am planning to use my blanket yarn to try a bigger one thanks to your comment! Blessings! I LOVE this channel and all the beautiful stitches!

Well done Ross good on you. There are lots of easy crochet on my channel all with the beginner in mind. try the granny stich in lines this turns out fab xx
It's been many years since I used this stitching, it's really an easy stitch that's very pretty. I made a christening afghan with this stitching then used 3 other patterns to do the border. Everyone raved about that afghan, I never made it again as it was something special I put together for the baby who received the set I made using these stitches. Anything special I make for someone and don't want anyone else to have I never make again.
Hiya Alison I had always croched granny squares but since watching your craft channel I have done so many different stitches that are so easy thank you so much for opening my eyes to bew blankets

What a gorgeous blanket! This is the first time I've been on this channel but it won't be the last. You're a wonderful teacher Alison and thank you for using US terms as well. Its so helpful. I can't wait to make this!
I love that blanket but I’m no good at crocheting but you make it look so simple but I just can’t get it right and your nail polish is beautiful take care and thank you x x.
I've been learning to crochet for just over a week. You have described and shown the instructions perfectly. I'm starting this today. Thank you so much!
I wanted to let you know that I just made a baby Afghan using this pattern for my niece that’s due in just a couple of weeks , it turned out beautifully 🥰
Thank you, Diane. I am going to try it with ARRAN im going to use a size 6.5 mm hook just do a few rows on a small square to see how it look and see if i heed to change the hook. A freind of mine heard I was low on yarn so she sent me 2 big balls of cream arran. Bless here heart.
I’m so grateful to Alison for her excellent instructional videos. I’ve found hers to be the best. She actually shows where the hook should go, into the stitch which other ladies don’t.
This makes a beautiful lap blanket. I'm still trying to make a round version without too many increase but it keeps spoiling the overall look of it, so I am trying a spiral version.
I am new to crochet and was looking for a first project. Your pattern is very beautiful. Your demonstration style and instructions are so easy to follow. I am excited to finish my first project and will be looking for more videos from you as I develop my crochet skills. Subscribed😁
What is wrong with people even in a crocheting group people are just rude and ignorant. Why are you people thumbs downing this womans video. I just completed this blanket today and I'm so happy with it. Thank to this lady for posting ignore the haters and be very proud of this design I love it.
Some people just do it because they dont understand what I say as I have a scottish accent some do it for fun, It don't count for much anyway so don't worry. As long as people still give a thumbs up to show others they did like it thats all that matters (anyway some people are so curious the have a look to see why someone thought it was a thumbs down) Its the amount of views that count and how long people watch the advert at the begining thats what makes my pocket money to buy more yarn. The advert is what pays for my yarn but 10,000 need to be watched for me to earn £2.75 hahah not much but it all helps but supplies. If someone clicks off the advert I don't get paid for it at all. So its better if people watch an advert before the video all the way through.
It might look hard, Karen. but believe me its not, I have only been doing crochet for about a year now and I do every video with the beginner in mind, try crochet along at the same time as the video this will help a lot. Try not to look at things as hard we can find a way around it give it a try you may just surprise yourself xxxx
Well done keep at it, dont give up if crochet goes wrong or wonkey it usually does for beginners but like me dont give up keep trying. Most of all keep it fun xxx

Hi, I meant to say that I almost sleep with my yarn and hook. I am following you as you go along, but I am making two for Seniors in wheelchairs at a Senior home in my city of Philly.
Hi Catherine. Just like you I love this video and I love this stitch. I’m going to make one the size of a queen size bed. The other one I want to make for my sister for Christmas hopefully. This is such a lovely stitch and Allison is so wonderful to do this. I don’t know how long it’s gonna take me to complete this being a man is going to be kind of big but I’m definitely gonna enjoy the ride. Good luck making your blanket and I hope it turns out beautiful. By the way, I live in Philadelphia and we have the same last name which is why I responded. Maybe we’re family. Either way enjoy your crocheting time. Maybe will meet one day.😍😍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

I am only very basic crocheter but trying to do more. RUclips is a great resource for learning! You can scroll back a bit and watch again. I also found using the cogwheel setting to slow it down a wee bit was a great help. Thank you Alison, I hope to make it to the end and hope you help me with more.
Thanks for the tips, I tell a lot of people to use the cog wheel setting icon to slow not just my videos but others too. I have only been crocheting for a year. I knew some basic stuff many many years ago when I was about 10yrs old it was only when athritis stopped me making the pom pom loom blankets that I began to crochet. Keep at it Anne, its great for taking up spare time and you can even think off selling your projects to make some pocket money.
I love this channel and this pattern. For the first time ever I have created a baby afghan with straight sides! Thank you so much. You are a delight to listen to.
I am just finishing this blanket for a friend of mine's first granddaughter and using a pink very similar the one you are using in the video and it came out absolutely adorable the two double crochet stitches actually look like little hearts so it is super cute! And I made it a little bigger so that she can use it till about the time she's in kindergarten or a little after even. So thank you so much for doing this I really enjoyed this project and ready to pick something else from your videos. Thanks so so soo much !!!

I’ve almost finished the lovely round blanket but needed more yarn so I placed an order online and got extra....guess what my next project is? 🤔💕 bye for now and take care 💁🏼♀️🇬🇧
.. Thank You Ms. Russell for doing this video.. Hours have passed and so so many diffderent patterns have been tried out on my yarn, only to be pulled up again and start over with a new pattern.. You see, it's not for mee to decide the pattern to fit the yarn, but the yarn to decide the pattern.. And finally I found this.. Oh lucky mee.. Usually I already know the pattern when I see and feel the yarn, but every now and then the yarn doesn't tell mee anything, and then it becomes a bit of a puzzle :-) .. Your accent really makes mee feel like home :-) ..

Karen
Thank you so much, Karen I had a lady tell me she has made and sold 26 of these in all different sizes. She said its her most popular blanket.
I have been a knitter for over 40; years !
I could never get on with crocheting, but through you I am having fun practicing.
Not made anything yet because I am practicing various stitches.
Thank you for making it enjoyable, trying this blanket and have successfully completed my frilly border ❤️
Wonderful, Jenny well done xx try something from my channel most suit begginer and 1st time lifting a crochet hook.
I also thank Alison for her many crafts & talents & her cheerful manner. Please keep up the good work, thank you. Keep safe & well ❤❤❤ 🍪pocket. Great Britain
😊 thank you
Thnak you for this pattern. I have been crocheting blankets for more than 60 years, and this is just another favorite. In this lock down I have learned to sleep with my and hook. Stay safe. It too will pass.
You are so welcome!
We are well, Michelle. Glad you like my channel and stay well. I hope you have enough yarn to keep you occupied. Mine is running out Oh no might have to rip a few things out and re use the yarn hahahah

This is the prettiest stitch I’ve seen yet. Thank you so much for your tutorials 💕
You’re welcome 😊
Beautiful baby blanket. Easy to follow the steps. Clearly explained all the steps. Lovely share.
Thank you so much

How many skeins of wool did it take? I don't know how much wool to buy? Thanks
Really enjoy this. I may even try it for my great grand niece.
Please do!
♥️this! After I finish my current blanket, I’m going to try this stitch for a blanket. Beautiful
Please do!
I’m so grateful to Alison for her excellent instructional videos. I’ve found hers to be the best. She actually shows where the hook should go, into the stitch which other ladies don’t.
Wow, thank you so much what a wonderful comment xxx I appreciate it thank you xx
Love this pattern. I’m doing a blanket for myself to put over me when I’m sitting xx
This makes a beautiful lap blanket. I'm still trying to make a round version without too many increase but it keeps spoiling the overall look of it, so I am trying a spiral version.
This is a great easy pattern and it’s good for TV crochet. Thanks Alison for this great tutorial ❤
Love this blanket! Thanks again Alison. You're a great teacher!! I've finished and will send to my new Great Granddaughter due in December. :o)

I am new to crochet and was looking for a first project. Your pattern is very beautiful. Your demonstration style and instructions are so easy to follow. I am excited to finish my first project and will be looking for more videos from you as I develop my crochet skills. Subscribed😁
Thank you so much!

Alison God Bless I'm very thankful for your video. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much, this looks hard, still the way you teach is wonderful. I appreciate you taking the time to teach during lockdown, hugs
It might look hard, Karen. but believe me its not, I have only been doing crochet for about a year now and I do every video with the beginner in mind, try crochet along at the same time as the video this will help a lot. Try not to look at things as hard we can find a way around it give it a try you may just surprise yourself xxxx
Thank you for teaching slowly and understandingly.
thank you xx
Started to learn crochet last thursday, currently attempting your lovely blanket, thank you for a brilliant tutorial xxx
Well done keep at it, dont give up if crochet goes wrong or wonkey it usually does for beginners but like me dont give up keep trying. Most of all keep it fun xxx

Thank you so much xxx
What a FAB way of starting without a chain!! I love it! Can put that to use with a lot of things!! Thank you! Stay Safe! xx
Yip I now do it a lot xx
What size did your blanket come out to be? I was just wondering how much yarn to get and in order to estimate it, I really need a way to know. Lol
Thank you so much for teaching us. I find your voice and style very calming which is great for my meditative crochet time!
Hi, I meant to say that I almost sleep with my yarn and hook. I am following you as you go along, but I am making two for Seniors in wheelchairs at a Senior home in my city of Philly.
Brilliant idea and thanks for your kindness to the seniors. They will very much appreciate it xxx well done
Maybe will meet one day.😍😍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Alison Russell's Craft Channel Allison thank you for making such a beautiful blanket and a fantastic tutorial. I’m making two of these. One is going to be in the color shocking pink by red heart. The other is going to be in Jazzy By red heart which is an ombré yarn. Thank you for giving us feel like we shares something beautiful to me. You are truly a talented woman.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕👌👌👍👍
I am only very basic crocheter but trying to do more.
I love this pattern! Thank you! Could listen to you forever!
Thank you! 😊
I love this channel and this pattern. For the first time ever I have created a baby afghan with straight sides! Thank you so much. You are a delight to listen to.
well done, mb great to have helped in some small way Thank you Xxx
I love ur tutorial so clear n will try it. Take care n stay safe
Thank you n God bless you
Thank you! You too!
You are so welcome xx thank you for watching my channel
Such a simple repeat but the pattern is great. I especially like the unique first and last rows! Never seen anything like that before!!!
Thank you so much!
I like this. I will try this stitch.
Please do!
Love your crochet channel as you are so easy to understand as I am only a beginner.
Awesome! Thank you!
What a beautiful blanket 😍 I thought that with the covid 19 lock down I would start my own channel! Keep up the good work 👍

Alison Russell 's craft channel is brilliant, she makes so many different things. She always explains things so very well & has a great sence of humour too in many of her video's. Well worth subscribing to her channel (it's free) Many different types of crafts, I made a cat bed last year from reclaimed wool & rope. My cat loves it & it's machine washable too, just look up" make a pet bed in a day" (Alison Russell) you tube. 🍪pocket UK M/cr.

You sre a phenomenal teacher. Love ur patterns. Thank you
You are so welcome!
I’ve almost finished the lovely round blanket but needed more yarn so I placed an order online and got extra....guess what my next project is? 🤔💕 bye for now and take care 💁🏼♀️🇬🇧
Keep busy and stay safe, Pat xxx
Usually I already know the pattern when I see and feel the yarn, but every now and then the yarn doesn't tell mee anything, and then it becomes a bit of a puzzle :-)
.. Your accent really makes mee feel like home :-) ..
Thank you so much Xxx
Ooh I love this. I've used the pattern to make a scarf. I did 5 beginning loops. It looks good. Thank you for making videos ❤
That sounds wonderful, thank you for commenting and watching my channel xxx
I love your video .Alison I also love to crochet and have been for many years. But I still like to watch and learn so much more enjoyable than reading a pattern or the graph things ( do my head in!) LOL!! ...... Any way I was looking for something to make with some lovely soft yarn I just received in the post ( of course ) This lovely little blanket is perfect to keep me busy & out of mischief with boredom in lockdown . Keep safe THANK YOU
You are so welcome, My new yarn order hasn't come they messaged me most of it was out of stock. Vey dissapointed as it didnt say so online. Hope I get my refund. It's getting hard for me to get yarn in stock anywhere.
