He was trying to smith a 15 stair rail for a SPONSOR ME tape!
Something I started doing is running the normal hard Indy bushing in the back, and the conical bushing in the front but keep them adjusted the same. Front has a little more give and bushings last longer.
Way better to go to harder bushings instead of cranking trucks down super tight.
These are the best. Please keep doing them until you have done everyone and have a playlist full.

Totally understand the thing about other people skating your board, I have the same thing but one step further lol. It's pretty much only if I'm filming but if I slam and shoot out my board I don't even want people to go get it and give it to me because it feels like it messes up the dynamic between me and the board and whatever we are trying to accomplish. It's total bullshit but at a certain point skateboarding is all mental

Growing up a kid gave me a maple board with no grip tape and like the first ever tensor lows that were waaay to small. Till this day I ride something similar.
Andrew Reynolds skate 8 on an 8'5, I don't know why but having truck that are .5 less wide helps with flip tricks I guess
It makes scooping a lot easier, imo
I used to skate 139 indies but I went over the coping on a ledge and slipped out so now I skate 149s. Idk how Tommy skated those tiny trucks. Takes a lot of aim for sure

Krux are the most under rated trucks .. turn almost as good as indy and are way lighter.
I stepped up from a 7.75 to an 8 deck. I still skate the same Indy 129 (7.75 trucks) and I found that I could have my trucks be looser, still have nice pop, and flip my board the same. I think the only sacrifice might be a smidge less height on my tricks, but not much if at all.
