    I restored a 93 a few years ago. It was Jim Dimmerman’s old record setting sled. I’ve owned over 30 big block cats in my lifetime. In Minnesota I have a shop and we radar run them

      Same here brother my father bought one I believe brand new 1979 or 80 along with a 79 John Deere 440 cyclone at least once a year for the next few years we would do trips from his cousin's place in Roscommon Michigan to Houghton Lake /tip up town, sometimes 7 to 12 sleds. My father and brother on the John Deere and my mother and I on the panther, I was 9 or 10yrs old that 1st trip. For the life of me can't figure out how they did it all that way multiple trips riding double but OMG, thank God for them doing it. Some of the best memories of my life, I now own three sleds, newest and most recent purchase two years ago 01 ZRT 800 triple. This year complete bummer, no snow, never got out😤

    Love your cat videos!
    I had a 95 zrt 800 with stingers (bought new)
    96 tcat ( used)
    Both sadly gone now,
    But i currently have an 05 f7 joker and 04 f6 fighter
    I love the triples and cats ltd. edition sleds!

    Awesome sled and awesome video. You know what would be a good idea? A spray bottle full of premixed two-stroke! Using that instead of starter fluid is usually considered a better idea because of the lubricating properties especially for a motor that's been sitting a while and is tight. But it's better for any engine really. Just a little tidbit…

  • @HVAC544
    @HVAC544 10 месяцев назад +5

    That's a cool story how you got the sled. 93's are very rare even more so with the original graphics most people swapped them out for the 94's. 93 CDI was the best out of them all for racing. I always wanted an arctic cat triple; tough finding them in great condition most are junk in my area. If you find a nice one the seller knows what they have and wont let it go especially thundercats.

    when i had my 99 tcat with 220+hp that thing wouldn't , want to start when it was like -30 outside ,,,snapped my pull cord a few times , but afer a while , i learned that when it was -30 or colder , then i would just take a nylon rope ,,,, wrapp it around the clutch 5 or 6 times and pull that cord ,,,, once shes turned over a few times , then you can use the pull cord ,, pllus this is a cool way to start the sled if ever your pull cord snaps

      That’s hilarious!!😂 Thanks for sharing! My dad was snowmobiling in West Yellowstone MT in 1994. He rented a brand new 94 EXT 580 EFI. He went over by the airport where there was a huge flat meadow and was topped out going 85 and he could hear a loud roar come ripping past him. Had to be going over 100 mph.. It was 2 1993 Thundercats racing each other.

    Back when that sled was new, I worked in a machine shop and I built or modified lots of parts for the Suzuki tripples. There's a few things that can be done to make them very mean aside from their extra weight. My friends rode them but I stayed with a 700 twin. Found out after a few years that they are short lived and the bottom end is only good for about 2k miles. I would mag the crank and do the bearings if I were you. jmo

    Love these older triple cyl muscle sleds from the 90's to the early mid 2000's from all the brands Ski Doo Polaris Arctic Cat and yes the 4cyl Yamaha...they not only sound the best but when it comes to the looks dept they're second to none not to mention fast as hell...my favorite is the Thundercat though...I'm in the process right now of trying to find one of each brand even if I have to have them totally restored to original specs...got my eye on a 2001 T Cat but the guy won't sell but ain't giving up on it the thing is mint with only 800 original miles on the odometer and I know the guy he's had it since new so it's the correct miles...keep up the great vids on those gorgeous T cats!!
