    Nothing on the snow sounds as beautiful as a triple triple. Sad the industry went 4 stroke

    • @chriskryder2994
      @chriskryder2994 2 года назад

      I know the sound well. Late at night you can here them screaming. Unfortunately the locals also heard it. Michigan has noise ordinance dont bring a piped or canned sled dnr will bust you

      @Turles811 9 месяцев назад

      4 stroke sleds are not As bad as ppl say they are in mean there more reliable but I do love 2 strokes I'm just thinking with reason that YES 4 stroke snowmobiles are more reliable and they actually can be fucking fast proven in the shootout video and my 2004 rx1 1000 4 cyl dose a solid 120mph tops and that's a bone stock sled 4 strokes aren't bad there just more for trails because there heavy...but I think ANY Sled can be amazing with a little love and care

    My old man bought a 900 thundercat in 96 and had it bored over to 1107 was 220hp on av gas. When he passed away it sat for 12 years. I picked it up last winter, pulled it apart boots on the carbs were rottin. It has 1008 miles like brand new, need to get the stainless water pump shaft to get her goin. Cant wait to hear the old triple scream again.

      @Alex Fracyon no you are right it should be around 145 psi per cylinder, I just meant that for a 22 year old sled that has never been rebuilt its very impressive. And believe me I beat the snot out of it hah, she'll be getting a rebuild this fall. She earned it

    I had a tear in my carb boot and toasted the rings on the PTO side. It sat around for 5 years and the crankcase looked every bit as bad. I gave it the oil bath treatment for a couple days and close to 2000 miles later (9700 miles total) it still runs like a top.
    Can't wait to see how the old cat fares🤞

    I have to admit ? Your a pretty sharp guy , plus you build from scratch , fabricator , I did complete restorations on cars for a living , helped out a fellow builder for a few months before Autorama in 2001 , took him a few years , but he build a beautiful rod , all aluminum , but the frame , from piles & sheets of metal , loud as hell on the fab side of his building , hammers are machines that hammer , thumpin ! Ford gave him a motor , tremec gave him a transmission , some other company gave him a all chromed independent rear end , and it was parked at the Ford display , he could fab ! No paint , no clear , just pure aluminum body , no roof , perfect ! He impressed me too ,

    The ZRT 600's were hit or miss when it came to fouling plugs. I've seen both: A sled that will idle just fine, run 5-10 mph in the woods or 100 down the road and never need a plug change. OR A sled that must only idle long enough to warm it up, can't go slow for longer than a minute or two, and is only good for riding roads or straight and wide groomed trails.
