im writing a novel rn!! i have other projects but this is the one im most excited about !! project red prince: The war king and his heir die in a big war in the beginning of the story so the second prince (a washed up alcoholic who really doesnt want to be king) The new crown prince meets a vigilante girl after she and rebels invade the capital, she basically agrees to go with him to the enemy kingdom so the prince can marry their princess and end the war!! im so excited bc its gonna be quite complicated and dark and ofc have romance elements but yesss
I’m writing five books currently -Unit The world is divided by Units and Crowns, Crowns rule and they have more magic than Units. Crown have enslaved Units. -Heart of Thorns Five main characters. A Fae exile. The wife of the exile who is now married to the crown prince. The crown prince who abus3s his wife. The princess who is shamed for being a lesbian but is super smart and wants to rule. The imprisoned human astronomer having visions of the end of the world. -Orange Notebook Story Five main characters. Two bounty hunters who are dating, one deeply traumatized, the other one smart and determined. Two slaves, one who has a dark past. And an Angel, with all the combined powers and wings. (There are four powers, metal, water, plant, and stone.) -Magic Bound My fav ❤ four main characters. Simon, the enslaved arena fighter turned god savior. Finn, the hot headed son of a high lord swept up in a plot for war. Rose, another high lords daughter, smart and calculating. Caleb, the Faerie in the past with ties to the future. -The Immortal King Two main characters. One living in the future, and one in the past. One, the soon to be immortal king, and the other, living in the timeline of the immortal king. *thats all, srry it’s so long*
I'm so excited to read more Dutch characters. just to let you know if you need Dutch knowledge like language, backstory,etc. I'm your girl just let me know I'd love to help shape Kees as a character.
My current and only project rn is called The Scattered Stars, the main character travels abroad over the summer before college, falls in love, deals with deep trauma (both of them do), and ends up losing contact with him. I'm honestly scared cause I just started the first draft recently lol but your videos help me get more writing done so thxxxx

i'm currently writing two novels, one which i have a solidified idea/concept of and the other to which i rlly dont but kinda occurred with an earlier version a character in my first novel that was rlly inactive and honestly some1 i struggled to write in2 the main plot, mostly bc when i did they were way to big and contradicting or it didnt seem to fit, so i brought those concepts and ideas in2 a separate novel instead. *The Riddler:* more or less a mystery novel, centred on a trio of characters (Micah, Chloe & Max) the characters are all 17 in age each have different dynamics and are these rlly close tight nit friendship group. The premise follows this murder mystery plot, where the characters aim to solve. Each murder however, is done is different ways, but it is clear they are done by the same person, this is bc the murderer leaves these riddles which is how they solve the murders. This is also why the novels called The Riddler as the murder is known by that alias for the majority of the novel. *Operation Nightbird:* this novel is supposed to be a supernatural thriller focusing on the character of Stella (current name- havent figured out much), some aspects of the novel were elaborated thus the contrasting elements. Stella is supposed to be a spellcaster thus introducing the supernatural elements. The novel is abt this spy mission called Operation Nightbird and how things from this occur. One thing i will explain tho is my current intention is to have the novels in the same world and possibly have a vague connection given to identify this (possibly having the characters go to the same high school but in different yrs or having the characters mention each other in passing in each novel)
i know this is an older episode but the way you described having a zero draft really struck me. i have around five or six projects all with characters and plots and dynamics but i really struggled with getting into the actual writing part. id write the first couple of paragraphs and then read another authors book and notice how bad my writing was, and move on to the next project. i always struggle with remembering that what im writing is not going to be the final draft and i can always rewrite it when i know the characters and plot better. definitely going to go write with this mindset!
