This story is genuinely soooooo heartbreaking. OP and I are the same age and she already has so many responsibilities. I wish I could reach through the screen and hug her
I looked up the reddit user and she literally writes how I used to when I was 15-16. like this is just a baby herself who was forced to grow up too fast. this is horrible but i hope things start looking up for the whole family
Been following this one since her first post on Reddit and as much as my heart hurts for them, I'm so proud of OP and happy for all the others for how things have gone for them. I work with a number of foster kids and I've heard so many more horror stories than happy endings when it comes to foster care.
I'm both proud and sad for all of those children. They truly only have each other, and OP is so young but shes trying to create stability and love for everyone. I especially love that the older siblings (excluding the whiny, annoying oldest) are there for OP. The oldest called OP an enabler, but that's such BS because the goal of the eldest's words was to make OP give up. All the eldest has done is try to put down OP, make OP her therapist, and dodge their family. Like give money and go away if it's too hard. That's fine
When I get your tiktoks i always check how long they are. If it’s 15+ minutes I head here. I was so excited to see a 45 minute story I immediately came to RUclips
This isn't the same, but when she said she only calls the baby baby because it doesn't fill right for her to have a name yet, I felt that. When I had to take my niece in as a newborn, I called her by her name just enough for her to be able to recognize it when she gets older but the first 3 months was like 80% "The baby", "Hi baby", "How is baby?", etc. Lol
It sucks eggs that OP had to step up because her mom is a narcissist who decided to leave and never return. I hope OP had a happy life after all this was said and done because she earned it.
Yeah all the adults in OP and her older siblings lives have failed. Mom and dad think they can continue to procreate and stuff (especially dad based on the post), Nan is insecure because OP is actually caring for her siblings, other adults like her aunt are turning a blind eye, OP’s oldest is also insecure and running away from stuff (tbh if someone needs therapy the most it’s her). Just OP, her brother, and hopefully another older sister + the 17 year old who’s stepping up!
ON the third update and am sooo worried about this 7 year old. Behavior like that towards sleeping is generally indicative of traumatic event(s) or enviroment.
Im sorry for OP, but they are gonna be doing this for the rest of her life or until she gets thicker skin the older sister called her an enabler, and im sad to say, she kinda is by taking the baby she signaled her mom that she will take care of any new baby she has so the mom is 100% sending more babies her way i just know in some months we will get another update about a new baby
Thing is, the mom was already gonna do it anyway. She already had like 10 kids and pushed them off on an older sibling or, in the case of The Baby, on a pair of random addicts. It doesn't matter if she takes them in or not. And if she doesn't, the only person suffering from that would be the baby.
They should really be looking into some kind of open adoption for the baby because having that many kids, they’re not going to grow with good opportunities or the same kind of emotional care they’d get where they are the only kid in a house. I get wanting to keep the family together and make sure the baby is taken care of, but why take away her chance at a better life?
@WolfMoon532 who's chance? The baby's or OP? Adoption is complicated and it's traumatic. It's already going to be traumatic enough for the baby but they can grow up with siblings so at least they will have some connection
@@WolfMoon532There’s no guarantee they will have a good life being put up for adoption. Nothing was stopping the mother from having 1 mil kids before. This won’t stop her now. OP is doing the best she can. Refusing the baby won’t stop the mom but it will unnecessarily punish and isolate the baby who was innocent in everything.
Agreed, like i’m glad the baby is doing ok in that environment but by taking the baby all she’s doing is showing her mom that if she has more children then she will just take them in. it is enabling whether she likes to hear it or not. i’m not saying she should or shouldn’t keep it but it’s enabling her moms bad behavior.

Scaling Stories had discontinued using background music because they got a lot of comments saying that it gives off the wrong tune/vibe on those Reddit posts
So, as far as I (34, childless male) understand, a woman that hasn't been pregnant can be induced to start lactating just by having a baby suck on her milkless breasts. That being said, it would be a massive understatement to say that switching to having OP breastfeed her youngest sibling would bring about a lot of huge changes. First of all, that would mean that she'd need to massively increase the water, calories, and a lot of other nutrients she's consuming as producing the milk biologically to feed that baby will suck that out of her body rapidly, with one example being that a woman with a month-old baby of her own was forced to be on what her MIL thought was a normal diet, not accounting for the breastfeeding the woman was doing, and it sapped nearly enough calcium out of her body that her teeth were in danger of falling out from her body mining them for the calcium to continue her body's muscular functions and structural integrity of her skeleton. My advice would be to start seeing a dietitian and a specialist in artificially inducing lactation if OP wants to go that route.

First of all you’re a trooper for this long story. Love it
Secondly I’m truly wishing OP the best for all of this. Like they are an actual angel

45 mins, 10 updates?? *picks up popcorn*
Love this absolute saga. Hope OP continues to update and that things work out with the move.

Omg, this mom is freaking nuts. Am I right, the baby is 10 kids?😮
Possibly more, I’m betting
Yeah and the dad needs to just… be a better human too. And we know the dad has more kids than the 10. They both need to be more responsible.

Its like combining TV shows, "Full House" and "Shameless".
Situations like this is why kids chose to never have kids
How can a 19 yr old be made responsible!!

Honestly, for a while I was worried about potential csa 😢
she is living shameless irl
I'm sorry but she should of reported her to the police .... Jesus that's ridiculous
Does this remind anybody of the show shameless?
that’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s really sad how badly OP was let down by her mum
I hope everything works out for everyone except the mother and father.
Omg I was waiting to long enough to get others thoughts, was not expecting a long video
Your doing well and just keep moving forward 👏 😊
10 UPDATES?? y’all, someone grab the tea, popcorn and all the chocolate
And a box of tissues, it's a sad but hopeful ride 🥲
Im gonna need more updates

The CRAZY!!!!!
Locked up in a mental hospital 😮
The sister isn't wrong, though she is enabling the mom. What if the mother comes back with 2 more babies?

What happened to the music behind the videos?
