I Had the oppertunity to play the new BF2042 season 7 Map "Haven" Early thanks to the EA Creator Network. I wasn't that excited because infantry maps are not normally my cup of tea if i'm honest. Yet while playing i soon realised it wasn't a meat Grinder style map. It has much more thought behind it with an intricate layout providing much needed cover. The destruction also plays a part in the fun. All in all it's a great adition to Battlefield..

5:46 this is exactly what they were trying to give us with this map and update! Assault using C5 for breaching, destruction actually opening up new ways to get people.

Did you ever notice the C5 remote says "OUTCH" after you blow it? 0:07
The c5 remote can say a whole bunch. Check it out next time you have it equipped, don't throw any c5 and just keep triggering it. You'll see quite a few things pop up. Only one I can think of that I think I saw is BOOM
we need a built up version . 5 /6 story building . Sundance flying through city streets . Mackay flinging all over the place. Dozer crashing through alleyways , etc/
A favela map sounds like what you're looking for. an area with buildings of various stories, lots of rooftops, alleyways etc. maybe add a flooded area to the map, perhaps some boats as new vehicles, streets and markets that are wide enough to accommodate ground vehicles but still have alleyways that are small for more infantry focused gameplay. now that I think about it I'm kind of describing flood zone from BF4 but I imagine this favela map would be better.

This map is such a breath of fresh air. It is the map that we always wanted, an open map with thousands of passes and destructible environment. That's what they need to understand, we don't need corridors to hold, we need to spread an think of tactics on how to overcome the enemy, and destructible environment. Well considering not every battlefield game has done that. More haven't had building destruction than battlefield game's that have.
This is the first time Ive been excited about 2042 since before launch... It actually feels like your fighting in a war torn area, seeing destruction fly around you... I think thats what 42 missed. I dont care about research bases in the middle of nowhere... I care about desolation... the story behind the streets you fight in.
I hope they take this forward onto BFVI. I want atmosphere back...
Atleast this map isnt like Freaking Hourglass or that 1 1942 dessert map i think they should re do both hour glass and the dessert map in 1942/2042 maps imo
You need small buildings to push too. I hate open lands.

This map looks like an original battlefield experience. Plenty of cover to move throughout and get into flanking positions. Probably the best map design so far I think.

The new weapon recoil (visual only) work looks so good. Gunplay looks grittier sorta like new CoD.

Somehow I think such an ea creator event is actually really cool. I find all well-known youtubers together in one round very interesting. Somehow, that would sometimes be very funny away from such events about new content. Maybe together with some people from the community.

I just bought it cause it 85% disscount on steam, honestly i love the movement and gunplay, its fast paced , and doesnt rly seem like a Battlefield game (not in a bad way for me). Its like much better version of COD. I stopped playing warzone a few months ago, and kinda almost quiting CS2 cause of cheaters, so im trying to find some other game to play. And im honestly very impressed how good BF 2042 feels, i never played it until today. Used to play bf3 and bf4 back in the days, and i also have bf1 and bf5, just never rly like those.. I hate some maps tho, way to dark and just bad. But watching the gameplay on this one made me buy it too haha. I rly dont understand why this game got so much hate, was it that bad before ? Is it becoming good now ? Maybe i bought it in a good time, i always avoided it. Also i only played like 5 or 6 games, and just with 1 hour of gameplay im almost always at the top of the scoreboard, it honestly seems kinda too easy idk haha. I have a lot of hours in fps games since i was young so obv that helps, but this game just fit me like a glove. And i honestly think it could be a competitve fps shooter, but i know Battlefield is not about that. But i could see this as a 5v5 competitive fps game if they ever decided to make smaller maps in Search and Destroy mode lol.

I have to agree, I would have liked to see some different scenery. Both of the new maps resemble maps we already have (Hourglass and Arica). Regardless I'm sure they'll both be fun to play

I wonder why dice abandoned the whole 'climate change' events. Was supposed to be a big part of the game. A sandstorm once in a while would make this interesting. But i guess we can't expect anything innovative from Dice anyways....

Free, except for Battlepass. But I bought the pass one time at season 1 and I use the coins from each season to buy the next one.
how do i fix the random mouse stutter, i recently downloaded the game again and had a few games with everything playing fine and then the next game mouse stutter. no matter what i no nothing will fix it, my next option is to reinstall the game.

Didn't realise gaming was more than about just having fan. If someone having fun then the game is doing what it's design to do. Wow half you younger game's would of hated game's back in the day when you was lucky to have six map's and maybe five gun's and no updates.

The question is...... are y’all going to do a damn thing about the rampant cheating of the Xbox cheaters/hackers. Over powered weapons, shooting through hard cover and the ground, aim bots, reduced damage, bulletproof (taking numerous indicated head shots before finally dying), slowing enemy rate of fire (slowing the AVANCYS to bolt action (NTW-50) speed), triple speed sprint, bottomless magazine, no sniper glint with 6x+ optics. The only cheating I’ve experienced from PlayStation players is freaking Spawn Camping. You really should make the restricted zone countdown timer exponential so the deeper you run in or just hang out inside, the time goes faster. AND..... START BANNING PEOPLE BEING REPORTED!!!!!!!!!!! 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 365 days...... life!!!!! The game is so much fun when there’s a miracle and no one is cheating, but you throw in just 2 or 3 or 10 cheaters/hackers and it ruins the game, reminding why I haven’t played it in years. And said I’d never buy another. I’m only playing 2042 because it was given to me.
And you need to nerf the stealth helicopter, the stealth mode should have more limits. Like a period of use with a cool down or break it, like when the bomb doors open, so we have some chance to shoot it down.
Also.... the Javelin can be switched by the operator between “direct fire” (shoot directly at a target (that’s literally anything) and “top down” (flys up to come straight down on the top of your locked target/heat signature).
And get rid of that pointless “Firepower” stat a give us something useful like actual damage per round, say at 10m. It shouldn’t take between 7 and 20 rounds from the AVANCYS (a .338 Lapua) to kill anyone, even if they have armor. And I thought a headshot was always a one shot kill, especially with a Heavy Round?
@@Eric-qx1kx most likely cheating. The javelin should kill that with one shot. That’s been my experience.
i think the map is really bad. battlefield used to be about big maps and a lot of space. this feels like call of duty...

It's a different kind of fun, Not so much only in Battlefield moments but tense gunfights for sure :)
It is the next level of dumb design. Get rid of the chopper! It completely ruins the experience.
