It's cool seeing Chad look at something for the love of it knowing he wouldn't change a thing - so often he sees through the car in front of him to the post-chop car he has yet to build. He has a real love and appreciation for that truck. He literally doesn't yet have the skills to drive it and needs to up his game - that is being called by something. Whatever it is about that truck it's tugging on him. Either that or it's just the biggest toy truck he ever bought.
Chad's a pretty smart guy I bet he figures the rig out quickly.
Nice glimpse into the future. I hope Chad can find a car hauler that will carry all their customized cars and tour the states displaying his craftsmanship at all the car shows.

Make sure someone shows you how to change gear - probably non-synchromesh so you need to double declutch and match revs. Then when you get used to that you can shift without using the clutch. But it is a skill that needs learning and practice. Hats off to the pro truck drivers!!

The first time I saw this truck on a previous episode, I thought it was chopped. The visor going across the front gives the windshield a chopped look. A very "retro cool" truck.
You need those visors on those ole cabovers. Or you'll be blinded by the light, bigtime.

Nice truck a friend of mine own one he did flat bed hauling, he explained to me how shift the gears, but me in the rig, told me to take of and drive..it was easy. that was thirty years ago,,you can do a lot with that

Cut the cab behind the seats and add a 15’ section with kitchen, bath, shower, seating and a bedroom. Then figure a new way to service the engine and go on tour with some of your cars.

I like the look of the set back steering axle of this FLB Freightliner. I would have liked to have driven this model but never got the chance to there weren't a lot of them around where I live, you had to import them in privately and convert them from LHD to RHD no dealers and factory support, the Argosy was a factory built RHD model and they were very popular. I have driven a set forward axle Freightliner Argosy with a Detroit engine in it and it was a good honest truck. Best of luck with your new purchase I hope you get some good miles out of it, drive safe and have a good one.

wow, love the cabover! an old trucker myself, drove a freightliner for 27 years. you will have to get a commercial drivers license to operate it, right? it's in primo condition, love it. have fun!!

Once you learn how to drive one of these, it’s super fun . That’s a beautiful rig . Wife and I drove over the road together for more than ten years . Wife was better at backing up than myself. Love your vids!

nice truck and im no cabover lover! That was is exceptionally excellent!
Nice looking right Chad don't forget to take the camera with you when you try and figure out that 13 speed I'm sure it won't take you to long to catch on. The biggest thing is to take your time between shifts and don't force it.

I don't know what the rules are like in Canada, but here in Switzerland trucks are subject to a lot of taxes. You also need to install a dedicated GPS device that monitors everything.

Yeah I noticed that he really liked it. What a great toy. From matchbook toys to big truck. Big jump. Years ago I was looking and was surprised how cheap you can buy a decent truck for
