As always, thanks for the stories! There is no way that I would travel to visit a person that I didn't meat personally. The Country does not have accommodations for all of the travelers that come here. I agree that their should be a Tax on the AirB&B Industry. When you say Haitian Government, isn't the government very limited there or nonexistent? I Germin Guy from my gym, found out that I was returning to the US and asked me if I would bring a computer back for him; that he would have it shipped my address their. I told him yes, but I would have to take the computer to a shop and have it inspected; he understood.
Q, thanks a lot for the comment! When I was stationed in Virginia, I had a guy I worked with that asked me to deliver a package as a surprise to a childhood friend who lives on a small Caribbean island that I frequently visit. So I give leave the package with someone who later calls and delivers it to my colleague's childhood friend. The friend was skeptical and took the package to the local police for them to inspect it. All it was only beauty products for the friend's salón. I figured a Major in the Army would not be handing me something illegal to deliver, so I never opened the box, but since the childhood friend did not know who we were, she was very suspicious. You have to be careful for sure. Thanks again for your continued support.
