Barceló Grand Resort 6 Hotels TOUR - Riviera Maya

We want to share here our awesome experience. This Resort is a complex of 6 Hotels and we stayed in the Maya Riviera - Adult Only. Dedicated 1 full day to tour the 6 hotels and check out what they each offer.
After our tour, we still prefer the one we stayed in over the other five.

Hola Toño, por supuesto. Tambien fuimos a celebrar nuestro aniversario, y en nuestra opinión preferimos el Maya Riviera. Es el Hotel mas lujoso y con ambiente mas romántico, pues es solo para Adultos. La experiencia fue maravillosa, acabamos de subir un video de este Hotel y los detallitos que tuvo el Resort por nuestro Aniversario. Le invito a verlo.
Por otro lado, el Maya Palace tiene un costo más economico y es Familiar, en caso de que vaya con menores de 16 años. Tambien es un Hotel muy hermoso, y en nuestro ultimo Video lo puede ver de noche iluminado.
Algo muy importante es que si se hospeda en cualquiera de estos 2 tiene acceso tambien a las instalaciones, restaurantes y servicios de los 4 hoteles centrales. Estos otros 4 hoteles tienen un precio inferior y son muy parecidos entre ellos. Espero poder ayudarle, si tiene cualquier pregunta adicional, dejenos saber.

Hi there. I have only been to Cancun once. Staying at the Riu Peninsula. How is this resort as far as kids screaming etc?

Hi travelMN
The resort has 6 Hotels, we stayed in the Adults Only as we wanted to relax and be quiet most of the time. The other 5 hotels are family oriented, so will have kids. We did spend some time on the other hotels' pools to see the service and ambiance, and of course, there were kids playing and running around (and screaming).
We found that from noon on, it was the time where most kids were out playing. Between 7 AM to 11 AM was pretty quiet to be honest.

I was in low season so almost no kids - but the resort was very loud in other ways - the walls in the Tropical hotel were so thin that you could hear everything people were saying in the room above you. Also every time someone was flushing the water in the toilet in the rooms you could hear it. One night I was woken up by a loud sound of running water - it sounded as if somebody was taking a shower in our bathroom - it was so loud and realistic that I even went to check if there was a water leak - but the sound was coming from the room above. I was woken up by this noise at 4am and the showering continued for 1 hour - it was the whole family showering before an early morning flight - at around 5 am I could hear their suitcases being rolled along the corridor and then on the pavement outside. It was almost sleepless night as earlier on the same night from 11pm to around 2.30 there were groups of people shouting and laughing in the corridors and outside - this is indeed a party hotel even in a low season when the spring breakers are long gone. I had total of 2 sleepless nights due to noises made by other guests. I have been going to all inclusive resorts for years and never before experienced this kind of night disturbance or indeed such poorly soundproof rooms. Not going again to this hotel for this reason and for some other reasons as well.

Hola German, para nosotros el Hotel mas lujoso y especial es el Maya Riviera que es solo para Adultos, se encuentra en un extremo del resort. Si lo que busca es un ambiente relajado, moderno y de lujo, este es el mejor lugar.
Si prefiere un Hotel familiar, entonces en nuestra opinion el segundo mejor es el Maya Palace por sus instalaciones preciosas y el nivel de calidad que ofrece. Este se encuentra en el otro extremo del resort.
