I switched Onalenna for Ontshi in my Top 3, and I also think she would've nailed it. She is a sharp woman, love her advocacy, and she speaks sign language!

The "Witch Segment" as you would say, was inspired by the Women’s Day celebration in South Africa, which focuses on empowering women. Since the competition occurs during Women’s Month, each year aims to highlight and celebrate Women’s Day. If you listen closely to the poem, you'll find it embodies the essence of women. The segment wasn’t meant to judge the participants; rather, it was intended for all women to listen to and feel inspired. I believe the choice of clothing symbolizes Mother Nature or the beauty of women, much like a flower.

Miss Universe was missing from the Miss USA pageant too. I loved Ontshiametse on the night. Stunning face, figure, and strong speaking skills. But I'm happy with Mia winning. I must retract my previous comment... I could see Ontshiametse and Mia at Miss Universe.

Onthsi looked like she was waiting for someone to complement her on how beautiful she was looking. When Jolene finally said it, she was like: Fiiiiinally, someone noticed. The top two were on par. I guess it all boiled down to impact and advocacy, and i guess that where Mia edges out Nonpumelelo. Ona was just carried way and blew her chances at the crown.
I think this was always Ona's problem. She gets a little too emotional and loses her composure. I think she should work on her composure and diplomacy a bit and come back.

The Miss SA organization is VERY strategic in how the choose the winner, Nompumelelo is almost 30 years old & as much as she was a formidable force. They wanted a worthy contender with a groundbreaking advocacy which can be compared to none in current pageant platforms. They would never had sidelined Mia,she won with fairly & squarely. They know her chances of winning MU or Miss Supranational are favorable to her,if she wins the Miss Universe in November. Nompumelelo will take over the baton & have an amble time to prepare competing at Miss Supranational next year. She would immediately become one of the strongest contender for the Miss Supranational crown,next year.
Ona and Chi are best friends what I could sense was in both Top5 and Top 3 she sounded too emotional she was trying to advocate for Chi , unfortunately that issue is complex n now a legal issue even Miss SA struggled , she should have focused on her advocacy, Ona’s performance especially evening gown was iconic she looked like a 💎💎💎💎

I think it's good that the Crown Chasers judges are on the final panel. This is a very long job interview, and the job is important for both Miss SA organisation and the country/people. Knowing that three of the judges have seen the finalists' growth and have been there all the time makes the final judging more legit. It's got nothing to do with favouritism and bias. They all want the best woman for the job! They must be absolutely sure that the queen can be moulded and developed in the direction of their vision, and also for the international stage. They have also monitored the contestants' mental health for 5-6 weeks before the final, which is extremely important for this fishbowl job. Each of the three CC judges has stated very clearly their individual criteria for the winner. You cannot come in cold on the final night and really judge fairly imo. Even the two other judges were guest judges during Crown Chasers, and they were part of the final judging day where each judge spent one-on-one time with every finalist.
South Africa always nails it every year. Mia deserved it. She will rock Miss Universe! Natasha will be missed. One of the most beautiful Miss South Africa winners. Still mad for the injustice she got from MU2020.

Onalenna during crown chasers always gave good rhythmic and poetic answers I expected so much from her, Chichi saga really got to her and hindered her performance. I also don’t like how she always started by saying “ I believe…” it’s giving year 2000 answer when everyone was fighting for world peace😂
I agree with the walks, i knew when Mpumi got that collagen win she wasn't taking it. In my predictions i got all the top 7/5 Natasha was so much fun! i fell in love with her( I never liked Natasha's reign since crown chasers to her winning) Rina you were sleeping on Ontshi!!!! ....and they robbed her top 3. Bryoni did exceptionally well at Miss Supra❤ I feel like they should have had a flat stage, it destructed the walks so much. You are right about swim and evening competition being weak. Even the set up of the stage suggested that they are not going to do a runway showdown. I feel this is a dangerous choice as Briyoni suffered last year in Miss universe due to lack of good stage walk. They should look into this, speaking alone will not get them crowns
@@RajCol Me too and it was almost ethereal like and having the poet merged at the same time highlighting some of the challenges modern women face fitted beautifully with one of the Miss SA pillars. I thought it was spectacular.

It's fair to have the resident judges present at the finale. Imagine if the new judges chose a contestant like Ontshi (who fought hard that night but though out Crown Chasers was not a strong contender) it would defeat the purpose of Crown Chasers.
I love Mia❤❤But was low key rooting for Onalenna 😅but hee I knew it when I saw her answering the last question...I think in her case she didn't think she was gonna make top3 after hearing everyone kill it on top 5 fav was definitely Ontshi there.,With Ona I think her friendship with Chidimma made her very emotional..she wasn't fully ready entering finale. MU did us dirty wanted to see miss Universe smile and walk but she had other plans I guess.
For me the production was not that good like previous years..Everything happened soo fast..The girls didnt have enough time in evening gowns.I hate that evening gown section always same type of gowns.Give each girl a designer with own style dress. We no longer in high school where we dress the same. Anyway just my opinion.
Swimwear? where? Horrible performances....non of these girls can walk! I was looking forward to technique, footwork, turns...but we got nothing. Those hideous sleeves looked heavy and distracting. THEY SHOULD HAVE INTENSE RUNWAY CHALLENGES IN CROWN CHASERS. Fly in Ian from the Philippines to train these girls if you have to!

For me the production was not that good like previous years..Everything happened soo fast..The girls didnt have enough time in evening gowns.I hate that evening gown section always same type of gowns.Give each girl a designer with own style dress. We no longer in high school where we dress the same. Anyway just my opinion.
Swimwear? where? Horrible performances....non of these girls can walk! I was looking forward to technique, footwork, turns...but we got nothing. Those hideous sleeves looked heavy and distracting. THEY SHOULD HAVE INTENSE RUNWAY CHALLENGES IN CROWN CHASERS. Fly in Ian from the Philippines to train these girls if you have to!
