Fantastic video Shane, couldn't stop laughing re the horticultural activities. Couldn't possibly be any other reason why those suspiciously low beams with power points were there, love the effort they went to to install them given the state of the rest of the house!
Thanks Richard. I can't think of any other reason mate apart from the possibility of running an illegal sweatshop with a room full of sewing machines making rip off tee shirts :-)
He eats Porridge, shake that mans hand for me. Great addition to the ongoing series and always looks forward here to the next episode. Cheers Uncle Knackers & Tom Ross, nice one.
This is going to be a much bigger project than I had guessed. Probably bigger than you had guessed too, but best of luck. I look forward to watching your progress.
That is very good advice given about using a professional designer, Shane. It could save a great deal of money and heartache, even a marriage. Being a designer myself I am naturally attracted to this type of endeavor and look forward to seeing your progress. You seem to have a good and mutually respectful relationship with Tony which is key to a successful outcome of a project like this. Good luck to you guys. For a moment there I was perplexed at hearing you guys reference the north sun and exposure. You guys are in Australia and I am in Maine, USA...Ha.
don alfano Thanks Don…aahhhh the old Southern Hemiphere V Northern Hemisphere thing. Gets you every time :-) I hope you can stick around for the rest of the Series. Cheers mate :-)
V PHOENIX I do not know him personally. He has a place on Kesar Lake just north of where I live. Much of his writing reference local areas and local people though. It is fun to make the connections.
Well, almost off to the races. The good thing about asbestos, if that you do not have to worry about a fire when you are taking the structure down (HAHA) Same here in the states, a remodel is MUCH BETTER than new construction if possible. Looking forward to the next installation.
Sebastopolmark Yep, we're almost there. Can be a little trickier doing a remodel but there are definitely benefits. Stay tuned for the next Episode. Cheers mate :-)
Can't believe you are going to get rid of that beautiful kitchen! I'm assuming you plan to replicate the old kitchen as closely as possible in the new build?
shaneconlan1 they did a similar thing with the London Bridge when we sold it to the Yanks. Mark each piece carefully and reassemble, you just have to hope you don't lose any of that magic of the original.
Great stuff Shane. Bullshit, did you really travel over there (no idea how far though) to do all those vids? No doubt about ya. All the best, and good luck mate
