You Sir have stepped up your Vids a lot in a short amount of time. I'll be hitting you up about doing the Dual Mass Flywheel on my Passat I need to get it done before I have a failure.
Much appreciated scott We are moving first weekend in july. Main goal there is to outfit the garage to my own shop. Lots to do in the garage before i can get it going. Been saving for my own lift. Will be a game changer for me. Go easy on the clutch for a little while longer lol ill get it done when i get the shop setup.
Good to hear! Luckily we got a decent size vw culture here. Ill hopefully have my new house/shop going buy the end of the year. If you ever need fabrication work or swap help let me know.
@@SmithsEuro absolutely .I will let you know. Is gonna be my first swap I got a 3.2 with 02M transmission I'm figuring out what clutch I can use for the convination. Do you make wire harness?? Good luck with the new house I just bought mine
Use any 02m 24v vr6 clutch just order for an 03 24v vr6 gti Ill make my wiring harness. But i have seen “swap harnesses” sell for about 1000$ 5spd works great man cheap and easy to source parts. I built my 02j with a 4.24 r&p for drag racing Cut syncros, tdi 5th and a quaife diff Thing rips in my mk2, and going to h20i last year got 28 mpg
Plenty of shows in the area (I usually only go to ones with racing or h20i) Vag fair Dubs at the lake Dubs at the gap Mk1 madness But i have a family now so i only go to the ones i like the best with racing. And h20i thats the #1 place to go nothing like it, nothing beats it.
Thanks for watching Depends what subframe you are running And what knuckles If mk2 subframe use mk2 axles If mk3 subframe Depends on your knuckles I have 2.0 knuckles with 2.0 axles If you have vr knuckles you use vr knuckles
@@SmithsEuro Thanks for the prompt response! I’m running a MK2 subframe. I believe I have to run inner VR CV joints on the MK2 axles. I was wondering if there are easier options out there then having to tear apart and rebuild an axle. Thanks!
No if you have mk2 knuckles with your mk2 subframe I believe mk2 inner cv are already 100mm and would bolt onto the mk3 02a if you have an o2j would need 100mm axle cups from an mk4 2.0
How is the braking performance with those smaller brakes? The first thing I upgrade when doing a VR swap is the brakes. I prefer to run g60 brakes to get the big 11" setup but maintain 4x100.
The brakes are good. I dont have any complaints with them. The work pretty good, never had a time where I thought i needed more. I have disks on the back as well. I needed the ability to have the 13” wheels for slicks so this is the best option for that. “Replied to the wrong video first”

Hello sir, I just stumbled across your channel and glad I did. I'm finishing up a VR swap on my Mk2 Golf. What axles are you running? Thanks

@@SmithsEuro I am running an 02A. That would be sweet if my stock axles will work! Thanks for the info.
Measure them 100mm inner is what you need to fit the trans.

@@SmithsEuro does the car see street driving or is it strictly drag car?
Lots of street driving.
