That little scene at the end where Orochimaru takes back his own Chakra from Kabuto and reverts him back to his former self was somehow beautiful. It didn't need to be explained by any of the characters in the scene, but you could feel Orochimaru's intent behind it. Orochimaru lived in a dark world, completely by his choice given the path he chose, however I don't doubt that he enjoyed the company of Kabuto, arguably his closest companion. Watching him develop this complex to be someone else, to be something he's not saddened Orochimaru, he just went up to him and made him the way he was, as he knew him. There was a part of him that cared about Kabuto and wants him to be content in life.

All of them, lessons aimed to steer him down a path that was the exact opposite of what Kabuto did out of admiration for him. Psychopaths thrive on admiration and adoration; if he didn't care for Kabuto, he would've killed him; especially after all of Kabuto's bragging about surpassing him and becoming the perfect being, especially given that Orochimaru's goal was also to become the perfect being. The old Orochimaru wouldn't have tolerated such an insult. Instead, he calmly walked up to Kabuto, took back his chakra, and given that he precisely absorbed all of his own chakra and NONE of Kabuto's, he was clearly expending actual effort to leave it intact.

In boruto they often use old things with new painting over it. Even the boruto arc so far has so many resemblance I can't even count. Some thinks are done better but mostly is just awful. I mean then intensity of naruto's chunin arc is no way near close to boruto chunin arc. can someone explain why kabuto is not moving after the fight with itachi ?? i havent watched this for so long
Itachi put him in a gengutsu called izanami which the intent is to make the victim stay in a loop forever of a particular scene (so he is in his mind doing a certain scene of his fight agains sasuke and itachi over and over)
The izanami can only be broken when the victim accepts their loss and punishment (abandoning their arrogance and tenacity)

Kabuto mastered sage mode by training. He only implanted Orochimaru's dna in himself for a power boost and to train sage mode faster. Oro only took back his own chakra. Kabuto can still enter sage mode anytime.
