I never paid attention to this before but Naruto has the plus in eyes for the positive side of kurama and minato has the negative sign in his eyes for negative side of kurama.
I think you're mistaken. Naruto's Kurama eyes are a vertical line and his sage mode eyes are a horizontal line. So the "plus sign" is just him using a combination of the two while Minato who isn't using sage mode only has the vertical line.
