      bremendiego1 Maybe the white walkers were preparing themselves for a time when they can cross the wall. If i remember correct,there is magic In the wall that don't allow them to pass

      Maybe the Night King didn't have a way to get through the wall until he had himself a dragon? Whats the point of going to a wall he has no way to get though.

    The thing is that entire plan was stupid. If I'm Jon I don't take 7 guys. I take 100. I pick a spot by the sea and have horses and a boat ready. I take all that Dragon glass I just got and use it with dozens of archers to cover a quick exit onto the boats.

    I think the reason Benjen didn't go with Jon was because, he said that he couldn't go to the wall for some reason. He had a charm or something. That's why he didn't go with Bran last season. He was like, "fuck it, I'll die protecting my nephew".

  • @BlazerManiacNumber96

    I really enjoyed the back and forth in this episode. The dialogue was really well written. But in terms of plot, it was a little iffy.

    • @BlazerManiacNumber96
      @BlazerManiacNumber96 7 лет назад

      Negan Lannister I enjoyed pretty much all the dialogue. I thought Arya and Sansa's conversations were well written as well as Tyrion and Dany. As I said the overall plot wasn't that great but I'm really big on dialogue and thought I'd give credit where it's due.

    The Night King must be a seer similar to Bran Stark being a greenseer / 3 Eyed Raven. How else would the Night King know to bring the giant chains (most likely from Hardhome) used to drag the dead dragon from the lake. If I play the part of apologist for the writers of Game of Thrones this season, I noticed that a significant number of Game of Thrones fans are troubled by the fact that in GoT season 7 episode 6 the Night King chose to throw an ice spear first at Viserion instead of Drogon who at the time was stationary on the ground and much closer to the Night King when the Night King directly attacked. I would like to suggest that if the Night King is indeed a seer, then he may have seen what we saw in season 7 episode 4 when Bronn used the scorpion weapon to launch a javelin / spear at Drogon that struck Drogon but was unable to fully penetrate Drogon’s tough scaled hide. It’s reasonable to assume that the Night King can’t throw an ice spear with anymore force than what is possible with a scorpion weapon. If the Night King had attacked Drogon first and failed, Daenerys would have witnessed this and may have had the confidence to decide to unleash the full power of Drogon upon the Night King right then and there. The safer and more calculated choice for the Night King was to attack a smaller dragon, Viserion. The other thing to consider is that at the time of the attack by the Night King, Viserion was flying towards the Night King and his White Walker generals. The Night King needed to neutralize this approaching threat. The Night King also took advantage of the laws of physics where the force of an impact is increased significantly when 2 objects in motion toward each other collide. The fact that Viserion is smaller and the dragon was flying toward the Night King increased the probability that an ice spear thrown at that moment by the Night King would be able to take down Viserion and kill him.

    It's clear that you guys just jumped on the GOT bandwagon, really need to get up on what's going on, like the names of Benjin Stark and Dragonstone and the fact bran wasn't in season 5, he was a huge role in last season and to not remember is crazy. These reviews would be much better if you know what's going on, I like most things John does, but it's clear he's new to GOT

  • @shelliingle571
    @shelliingle571 7 лет назад +2

    I known Daenys can't bear anymore children,but maybe she can and it have to be with someone that's blood related to her. I think it does make sense,because I heard that her father and mother are brother and sister. I think Targaryen blood are curse. If they marries someone who's unrelated, their loved ones ended up dying. Probably she need someone who's related to her to reviece a child with a better future. Probably she will end up having a child unexceptly with Jon (that's she didn't known that she's related). Probably "the prince" in the prophecy will turn out it's their child (if it's a boy).

  • @SlipperyPeteClassic
    @SlipperyPeteClassic 7 лет назад +1

    Even if Dany was settled on executing the Tarlys, she didn't have to do it right away, or even in public. In season 5 one of her supporters (a former slave) killed a captured son of the harpy before a trial could be held and she executed that guy in public for it. She could have done it quietly behind closed doors. It cost her a LOT of support from the former slaves that she had freed. She's not learning from past mistakes and it's going to finally bite her head off instead of biting her on the ass.

    John you said you wish they didn't make these last seasons short and that these should be the ones with 13 episodes for example. But that's actually kinda what happened. I look at it as season 7 and 8 is one final 13 episode season. Because that's how the showrunners look at it, and instead of spending the whole season's budget on 13 episodes, they basically doubled their budget by splitting it into 2 more seasons. Which in the long run will be way worth it. So yes it sucks we have to wait over another year, but I'm sure we'll all be happy they did. There's only so much story left to tell before you can end the whole thing, without dragging things on, and I think this was the best way.

    Arya is nuts. I don't mean that in a good way...She just comes rushing in after everything they did to get Winterfell back & now she just moves around & blames Sansa for something, when she was scared & different, young & yes naive, but she thought it was the only way she could save her father, in a way it was possible. Sansa has being trhough enough man. She does not need this crazy brat walking around mentally tormenting her. Arya herself is not even doing anything to help Sansa. She to is a Stark, HELP HER! There is a reason why Sansa goes to Littlefinger. He is a shit, but afterall, he was the one that got her out of that helhole, which is Kings Landing. In Sansas mind, after everything, that does mean something, being around the person that freed her, is comforting to her(which Littlefinger is exploiting). Its suppose to be Arya, or Brienne she should go to, to discuss these things with, but she does not, why? simple: She does not trust Arya as far as she can throw her, & with good reason, Arya has done eveything she can to distance herself from Sansa so far. She trusts Brienne, but Brienne herself has not done much to proove she is more then just someone that can handle a Sword. Not doing anything at the counsel meetings, not being around at her side for some time before now. Just swinging swords..When Brienne is around Sansa, Littlefinger does not wanna make a move, we already saw that. Be there for her! she is all alone in that place! help her!
    My god I have not liked Arya ever since she returned to Winterfell. All she has done so far, is making things worse...
    She wanted to be at Winterfell, well now youre there, then Help your sister to maintain it for Jon, instead of mentally tormenting her..After that last scene with the faces, who in there right mind, would ever come near someone like that again? who?
    I can also answear why Sansa send Brienne away. Its really good mindgame by Littlefinger. He knows Sansa does not listen to him & everything he will say & adwise to do in her mind must be bad & she will basically do the opposite. If Littlefinger wants Brienne to be around Sansa, then Littlefinger must have some sought of plan with Brienne, so better having Brienne away then having her into Litlefingers plans.
    Besides people. She has so much on her mind, & she does all that on her own. Sometimes its just to much for the mind..She is strong, but she needs Jon & fast. Its like Jon has forgotten them, & her. I do not want that. Know he has not, but its sad seeing her being attacked from all sides including someone thats suuppose to be her family & she has to do it all alone....
    Wow! that was a long comment xD

    Benjen cant go south of the wall any way since he is half dead being kept alive with dragon glass in his heart. He wanted to go out and end his suffering by saving his nephew.

  • @ObviousTroll
    @ObviousTroll 7 лет назад

    From what i gather Benjen had a dragon glass dagger shoved into his heart the moment before he turned into a white walker, placing him in some kind of half state between life and death. It explains why he cannot cross the wall anymore as it has magic in it preventing the dead from doing so.

  • @gabi1992
    @gabi1992 7 лет назад +2

    I agree with Ann, I think Sansa is manipulating arya into a confrontation so that she can imprison her and keep her from ruining her public image and goal of being the actual queen. However, she knows in order to imprison her she will have to order her arrest and it will only happen through violence. If brianne is in winterfell, she wouldn't allow for that to happen. She would control the situation, so the only solution is send her away and Arya will have no-one to protect or help her.

    If I was Jon Snow, I'd take a quick detour to Old Town to show the Maesters the Wight, THEN go to Cersei. That way the North, the Targaryen supporters AND the Maesters all believe in the Wights. I feel Cersei is just going to have the Mountain or Qyburn destroy it, similar to how she shrugged off and torn King Robert's will and testimony to have Ned Stark be Protector of the Realm in place of Joffrey until he turned 18.

Only an evil bitch would have convinced jon to WILLINGLY follow her after this episode just like tje dothraki and unsullied have. Thought exactly the same as you John, considering just breaking the ice around them, haha.
    But yeah, lots of action = awesome! but very predictable episode, and a teleporting raven.. And didn't like the whole Sansa co-killed her father.. Come on Arya. - Better than last week episode, and this was a good episode, but no where near the quality writing I expect from a GoT episode.

    I'm not that big of a fan of this show (don't kill me) but I really enjoyed this episode and I'm perfectly fine with Jon and Dany just because if nothing else, Jon (for me) makes me like Dany because before I barely could stand her and I feel like he softens her up a bit. That said, I wouldn't surprised if they tease the relationship and then say nah just kidding which I would kinda dislike honestly.

    No she had to kill them. Whether beheading or by flame. They were not going to bend the knee. It was respected and they died. She had to wield power. You make an example of some this gives you the ability later to show mercy. By sparing them when your forced to sentence someone to death your put in a position of being seen like you must. She gave them a choice they made it. Now the next time she must make such a choice who she can wield power.

    I thought the episode was cool and I've enjoyed the time-jumps for the most part. In this episode it was awesome but silly, and I'm so glad it happened. What I'm referring to is how the Magnificent Seven send Gendry to the Wall to get a raven to Dragonstone for Daenarys to fly all the way North of the wall in the space of half a day? If that?

    the reason Benjen said there was "no time" is because Jon was almost frozen to death. Benjen would have slowed the horse down and Jon would have likely frozen before he got to safety.

      belakthrillby he could hop on the horse with Jon..... He'll, he could have left Jon escape and then leave on foot.... The white walkers were not catching up to a frozen Jon.... What made him think he wouldn't outrun them when Jon clearly did with little to no effort?

    Dany will probably tell him that he doesn't have to bend the knee (he should bend 2. Ha!) and that they will work together without him relinquishing power to her. Also, Coldhands (Uncle Benjen) probably is privy to the fact about Jon's real heritage.

    The Night King is a greenseer like Bran. He lured the dragons over the wall. If you notice when Bran sent the ravens to find the Night King he was on that same rock in the middle of the lake the group ended up on.
