just orderd this on black friday for 420$ replaying my samsung galaxy 8 from 2017. the specs are impressive-and i no longer feel the need for the premium phones from samsung and i was stuck with choosing either this or samsung a53. but the higher ram,better cpu made my choice for oneplus. hope it is a good upgrade from 2017.

I just bought this phone yesterday and it's good. The only drawback is its camera which is average rest everything is good. The phone feels premium to hold and the haptics on this phone is mind boggling which again gives it a premium feel. This is a phone which comes under the category of a bit of everything Overall a 8.5/10 rating.
BTW I'm from India 🇮🇳 and I am talking about the Indian varient, also I don't know if there is any difference in the Indian variant and the world wide variant.

how is the battery life?
Apple gives us same phones last from iPhone 11 model till now, at least 2t looks different from 2. I have nord 2 and would gladly swap to this one or nord 3 of it ever comes out

hi!! great review as always! I need a good mid-range that takes good photos, has an excellent display and excellent audio in headphones and speakers... and often the audio quality via bluetooth is given by the audio codecs which on the oneplus (north 2 and 2t) are not they are always exactly shown.. I have an old Motorola Edge 5g from 2021 excellent audio reception fantastic top display but bad photos ... what do you recommend (to take used) that has these characteristics at the same level? thanks Luke Rome Italy
The phones choose a specific date for their launches nowadays. The BBK mother company let her biggest brands to release their phones first and after the fanfare then release the smaller and more subtle brands in the more quiet months. And no one want to meet Samsung and Apple flagships release dates head on. Xiaomi like to release during year end and the start of a new year.

The Nord 2 is still running Android 11, quite disappointed with this.
android 12 was insanely buggy on my device. maybe it's for the best

@@rizdog5735 Every single battery explosion is only reported in India and most were proved fake. A few might have been real explosions but try search for any popular phone. So many exploded. Think about how many millions units there are. All phones can explode

Well their lineup is very different to what it originally was. They aren't aiming to launch a flagship killer with these phones.

@@DSDSDS1235 the nord series are budget phones. If you want arguably some of the highest performing devices on the market then go with their main line.
Virtually every phone company does this it's not exclusive to OnePlus to have cheaper options for people.
I'm currently looking to upgrade my OnePlus 9 to the 10T. I wouldn't personally own a Nord unless I was facing financial hardship.
@@asteroidsex Budget doesn't excuse trash design, and if a phone that throttles within 5 minutes sounds like "some of the highest performing" to you you need to go look at OPPO's own offering, or an a52s. in stead of this bastardized garbage masqurading as oneplus.

So I'm halfway agreeing with you.
What I'm saying is that the main flagship OnePlus phones are great. The 10T is particularly powerful, I'd recommend checking out the specs.

I don't understand why gsm arena is constantly saying that the 8mp ultrawide cameras are decent. Just look at how poor the resolution is. It looks like a camera from an iphone 5.

A piece of garbage had become OnePlus since the fusion with "mothershit/p" Oppo.
I don't have the 2T but I own the Nord 2 and the situation of reability & updates is shameful, they (OnePlus developement team) struggle to make a stable android 12, I repeat android 12 (when other brands start to implement the 13 version) after 1 (and 3 months) since the launch and the situation gets more worsen than this, I still didn't get a new security patch update since june.
I don't know what type of strategy they follow but I think it's a big scam in the middle, offering in the first 6 months some light updates and keeping blocked the major ones and release them in the last "minutes" before the phone passes the 3 years future proof updates. And I don't wanna mention that in case the so called update it's released, OnePlus, recommends (in case your phone/region dosen't recived yed) to use a third-party app, that's so lame & pathetic.
If you don't belive me, install the "OnePlus Community", join the channel for Nord series, have some popcorn because you have to spent some big amount of time reading all the complaining threads from the users/clients.
PS: Dear OnePlus/Minus, in case you don't realized even Xiaomi beat the horse-poop out of you in terms realbility & respecting the updated dates/terms.

The 2T has additional storage. It has a microSD that can be expanded to 1tB. I think you misunderstood the video.

I still have my OnePlus 6 with 🎧 JACK.
I will no longer buy OnePlus anymore. To me this was the real last flagship killer. I will be looking for a phone with a 🎧 JACK and AMOLED display with good updates over time. 🤔🙂

Realme GT Neo 3T and Moto Edge 30 have weak cameras. Xiaomi phones have bloated software. Nothing Phone is a bit more expensive, has issues and it's a brand with no track record.

There is no point of getting a oneplus phone only for flagship chipset if you can't play games in high fps.
Even if you buy previous Oneplus 9 pro, You will only achieve midrange-level real-life gaming performance even despite the 2021-most-powerful Android chip Snapdragon 888.
If you want everything in a Android smartphone at the absolute level, i would suggest you look elsewhere.
