The dimensity 1200 is 6nm not 7nm. The processors are exactly the same. It score more because of a different performance profile. Turn on the performance mode in both phones and you will get the same results.

Compare this to the Samsung A52s. It has a better chip than the a53. A52s still has 3 updates left even though it’s older. Although the dim 1300 is probably faster than the 778g but most tasks are optimised more for snapdragon. Great review btw!

OnePlus is doing as much anti-oneplus as they can possibly do. Instead of well designed phones they are releasing rebranded realme phones (nord 2t, ce2, 10r). Not updating devices properly or on time. Switching to Colour OS instead of Oxygen OS. Releasing shit ton of phones (they were in such a hurry that didn't even bother to include alert slider on the new 10r). I mean how can the leadership allow all this to happen to a company which was literally the highest selling premium brand in India. Enthusiast loved OnePluses for their speed reliability design features convenience.

The A52s is currently a great deal at less than 300. That's got better CPU than the A53. The Nord 2T is quicker still. Camera wise I didn't really like the Nord 2. I had original Nord before the A53 and that worked well with Gcam. But when I tried that on a Nord 2 I got poor results. Gcam doesn't work great with mediatech chips. However I feel default OnePlus camera is too contrasty losing detail in shadows. A52s is good here. Definitely better. The galaxy A52S/A53 has a nicer screen (better colours and 120hz) but the one plus is better built. But since I have a case on my phone makes little difference. That new vibrate motor on OnePlus Nord 2 is very nice. A huge improvement on the terrible one in original Nord. Even Samsung is not that good but it's good enough to feel it in your pocket which is what you need. The Samsung feels lighter to use. I'm happy with my A52s. OnePlus Nord 2T biggest advantage is the fast charging speed.

I have a question I'm curious what you think about! Instead of buying the Nord 2T, why not buy the oneplus 9 pro? I see the 9 pro costs around £500 for the 256gb, 8gb ram version and the Nord 2T 256gb, 12 ram version costs £469 which is very close. Isn't 9 pro a better option? Also, I think 9 pro will be supported for 3 years and Nord 2T for 2 years, so in the end they will have the same android version even though 9 pro is 1 year older..

Looks solid. Lots of One+ haters will whine about this and that, but it offers another choice in that price range, and in the US that will be welcome, as last year’s One+ mega-growth showed with One+ mid-range devices. I would easily take the Dimensity over the Exynos and although the A53 probably has better cameras, the main one on the Nord 2T does a reasonable job (mostly). The two updates will take you three years into the future, which is the average length these phones are kept so I do not see that as a downside. 90Hz I am beginning to see as a sensible solution for optimising battery and performance and the $1000 Magic 4 Pro now even has a 90Hz option to balance these metrics. The problem with 120Hz is the next step down is to 60Hz so no middle ground so that means constantly moving between 60 and 120Hz to get better battery.
In a Samsung dominated world, the crowd will just go with Samsung ad infinitum as they will, but the Nord 2T will give those that like to switch it up a chance to have a change and I suspect this will do really well.

@@VaunShiz One+ are doing well with rapid growth in the US and solid sales in a number of countries. They are fighting in a tough segment where many have failed (LG) and the merger with OPPO was to protect it from the ups and downs of margins being eroded due to price cutting as Android OEMs fight for their survival. It means they can share tech and save money, ergo cheaper phones, the OP10 Pro a sign of that at around £800 retail (£700 or less at resellers). One+ was the first to be a “flagship killer” b it we are flooded with these now and there is simply not much money in that sector, so change or die and they have re-evaluated and will let others fight in that flagship-killer arena. You are thinking from a purely personal un-objective view whilst One+ is trying to be a business that can be around for years to come.

For mid range cameras, Samsung 20 FE, Xiaomi 12 Lite , Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Plus or the Xiaomi Mi 11 5G NE Lite. For a budget phone with great cameras, you still can't beat the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. For gamers, still hard to beat the POCO F3 or the Samsung A52s as they are also good all around phones with good cameras. Just my humble opinion.

The Samsung A53 is the winner. Samsung A53: 4 years of OS updates (13,14,15 & 16) and 5 years of Security updates. Everything else is negligible.

im very curious to know whether buying the oneplus 9 would just be a better deal than both of these, because it is pretty much better in every way except for that fact that it does not have ois and maybe a few other things and for the same price, the 9 pro might just a better deal overall because you get water resistance, better cameras and all those good things although it is a bit more expensive, but at the same time you could just buy the s21 or s21fe for cheaper and they are pretty good all rounders

the Nord2T anouncement mail from oneplus i got, had the EXACT same price as the Nord 2, if not slightly more expensive in my currency.
So thats a blatent lie. i am happy i picked up a S21FE 8G/256 at same price on a sale tho. Much better specs at that price.
