    A couple of gussets in the four corners will add a lot of strength and shouldn't interfere with your pan removal. I saw one stand that had rails on the bottom as well as forklift slots to pick it up as one piece. The engine was way up there, but looked strong. You needed a whopper of a forklift to pick up the whole unit.

    I'd weld some small gussets in those corners. But everyone tells me , I over build junk. And what's with the start of the slot hole, going to roll that crane in there and bury it?

    Those tubes look like they are 1/4" wall thickness, I'd drill and tap them for motor mounts. Be better than "G" clamps anyway.

    Gussets will help keep Jeffy from being a grease spot. Griffy is fast enough to get out of the way! You, not so much!

    They say 1” of weld will lift 500kg and your welds look pretty decent so I think your in the clear

    Did you look at the Cauldwell Model 17 lifting beam? It is two channels back to back with adjustable bail and a model with 5 ton rated cap. This looks like the one in the Cat manual to me. Maybe the Cauldwell catalog would tell the height of the channel. Did you get any information from the people that make the polymer soil stabilizer? Would this stuff work on your runway?

      Polymer only works on aggregate they said and that won't "fly" 😂 with airplanes, I haven't had a minute to look at Caldwell yet

    Blind as a welders dog. Weld a nut on the end of a piece of flat bar the right length and hold that in the end of the tube. Screw the bolt in and there’s your dinner, as Taryl would say. Jeff

    Jeff, please don’t put that motor on there without doing some more welding. I hate to say it is going to be a bad if you are under that engine and it shifts tal machine install.and I worked on a lot of dozers hi sorry I am prayer for your life 10:31 it should be made with 4to5 in I beems gusses then drill and bolt that mother down so things don’t shift over kill is better the n getting killed
