Hi Claire I'm not feeling well today but I'm enjoying laying here on the sofa with a cup of coffee spending my time watching you just chatt and repotting inspiring me to plant, repot, and propagate. Thank you for sharing your days with us, keep doing what you're doing you're such a comfort and inspiration. I have only 22 plants in about 5 years but did not know that RUclips had a plant community . Now I'm learning and loving every moment. Your wake-up is so much like mine. I have a special routine, loving my space my plans for my plants, and of course my husband. ❤😊
If you have ADHD (I think you mentioned previously that you do) it’s a very classic symptom to go from procrastination to being hyper focused. I’m the same. I think it’s great that you’re able to talk about it so openly. ❤
Any video you've put out has taught us all things. Whether it be your success or your failed attempts at things. So use that to your advantage. You can literally make a video about anything you're doing with your plants, and it'll be a help to someone just learning.
Thank you for posting these chill videos. They really help me calm down and get things done, or at least started. It's so refreshing to hear you talk about how you feel and relate so much to it. It really makes me feel like I'm not alone and I hope it does the same for you. It really resonated with me when you talked about being such a perfectionist and sometimes it's so hard to get something going because you just want to get it perfectly right. I think most of us probably struggle with the pressure of perfectionism and the "paralysis by analysis" thing. Thank you for being so real and open about it. That's so important and we all really appreciate you ❤
What you were saying re: motivation, that’s 100% an ADHD thing. We struggle with task initiation because dopamine (which we are deficient in) is the neurotransmitter responsible for motivation, so it can feel impossible to start a task without it- but once the task has been started, our brains are able to produce more dopamine to keep it going. So something I’ve been doing lately is, since plant care is an excellent source of dopamine for me, I will put on one of your long-form videos and just watch for the first 10-15 minutes. And then once I feel my dopamine levels start to rise just from interacting with content that excites me, I start to feel motivated to do plant chores. But then I redirect the energy to general house care and save the plant care for the end as my reward!
Been watching your vids for a couple of weeks now after looking for a new hobby. They must be having a impact on me because I just potted up my only plant a peace Lilly that’s been in the same pot for over 20 years. Now looking at adding to my collection. Thanks for helping me find my new hobby x
I have a cutting of a friends plant and I was thinking I had nowhere to put it! Looking at your surroundings makes me see that any flat surface is a plant stand! 🤣🤣
I am dreadful for putting things off. I lost my husband and i am grieving, depressed and struggling to move forwards. Same as you, its nice to know others feel the same with the procrastinating and 'doing things tomorrow' mentality. My horse is my saviour, my cats have been unbelievable, and my garden and houseplants come next, but i do struggle so much to be positive and forward thinking with everything these days. Thanks to you, your videos and enthusiasm for plants and beautiful leaves, I've bought several new houseplants for my collection including alocasia to try. Your videos definitely help me, so thank you x
I am extremely sorry for your loss 🙏 time doesn’t heal all wounds but with time crying while remembering memories is gonna turn into a slight smile and might eventually turn into a big smile 🙏
I love your videos! I find that these videos in particular help me with plant burnout and motivate me to do things around the house. Today, I painted my room while watching and listening to your video. Thank you 🙏.
The fact that you show your humanity to us is what makes your videos so wonderful. They are refreshing because you share yourself with us AND you educate us on the things we love.
I cleaned my plant one plant shelf watered a few plants and started a propagation of my Thai con. I find watching a chores video helps me focus on doing my chores so thank you x
I don't actually do anything while I watch your plant videos! I just lay on a couch and grow my 5 month pregnancy belly. But even before this I wanted to enjoy watching without any distraction. I sometimes eat dinner while watching but no chores of any kind because this is precious me time❤
When I feel overwhelmed for all of the tasks that I need to take on, I will just focus on one little thing to do. It doesn’t feel so overwhelming that way. and once I get started, I just keep going. I kind of trick myself.😂
Hi Claire! Thank you so much for another long video! I really enjoy putting them on to get myself motivated to start my day and get some work done and to rewatch them later 😊 I have ADHD too and I can relate to your struggle to get to the point of starting soo much and some other things so much! Thank you for sharing your thoughts thoughts
Hi. Fellow sufferer of adhd, except I'm 51 n fighting bad health😢. Last year, in tesco, I brought a philodendron narrow escape. Loved the leaf shape. Set it all up to succeed. Now, I know a lot more about plants thanks to yours and other youtubers. Narrow hasn't done anything in the year I had it. Had a good old invasion of the narrows privacy. She had scale bugs😭😭🤮🤮. Was so grossed out, black bag n binned all of it, soil, plant, gone. Apart from fungus gnats I treated with nematodes, first time iv had pests in the 18 months of having plants. Luv ya all xxxx
I love my Hoya Caudata Sumatra, but she's such a slow grower. I've tried a cloche, higher light and lower light (I have 2 plants), water prop, chunky mix that my other plants thrive in. Maybe I'll try pon for this one. I would love more than 3 leaves! 😂
I just started to watch your videos last week and loved every single one. I'm more of an outdoor gardener and I was afraid to have more houseplants. However yesterday I came home with three more new plant babies and will order more and learn about them. Thank you, Claire for your videos 🌿💚
I feel like our brains work similarly, lol. 🙃 I'm in the process of building my brand and shop on Etsy and Michael's Makerplace so I've been working on taking photos of my items and doing shop stuff while watching your video. I took a break to make supper for my family and then came back to working in the office and watching your video. The windows are open and it's been rainy today and another rainstorm just started and I love hearing it in the background! Love your videos and glad you were able to feel productive 🥰
Thank you for another awesome video. As you shared one of your favourite plants shops I will share one of mine 'plants for all seasons' they have a great selection at great prices 😁🌿
Hello! Licensed esthetician here and I do brow laminations all the time. They should have revitalized your eyebrow hair after the treatment with keratin oil. If you go buy some keratin oil and apply and rub it in daily your brows should be back to normal within some weeks possibly less. They didn't do anything wrong the chemical is just drying out that hair follicle by processing it to where it become super dry and fragile. I know exactly what you mean by "I just want my normal eyebrows back" lol.
Claire its time to take care of that rug.. it doesn't need to come into the house but can you drape it over the balcony to air it out or drop it off to a dry cleaner? baby steps I know, but once you decide to do it, it will be easy
I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your plant trials and tribulations, ups and downs and adventures . I confess to having a plant obsession and any time I watch a plant video I will always see another plant "I must have!". Soo informational! When you wash your leaves is it just plain tap water that you use?
Love your videos. They are so informative and fun to watch. I have over 100 plants and have experimented over the years with watering methods. I recently switched to self watering pots for about half of them and it really cuts down on my watering time. All my plants are doing extremely well. I was wondering if you’ve thought about using self watering pots for some of your plants.
Something cool about R. foraminifera is that it's named after a type of micro-organism and you can really see why when looking at the fenestrations. I find that it really looks like the fossil of Brizalina subaenariensis, with the fenestrations representing the "bumps" of the chambers.
I’m undiagnosed and it’s so hard to break free from procrastinating. And the laziness card is a bitter pill to swallow. I work full time, have two kids, two dogs and all my plants. Sometimes other things are not a priority right this second and you can’t mentally deal with it and that’s only one part of ADHD. Don’t get me started on my school days and studying and exams. The amount of things I start simultaneously to avoid forgetting to do something. The forgetfulness. What a nightmare. It’s becoming more common that adults are realising they may have ADHD, especially millennials, and my son is currently under the pediatrician pending possible diagnosis, but I’m reluctant to get myself seen over it because more and more people are becoming diagnosed and I feel like I’ll be challenged and made to feel like I’m looking for excuses. Sad that I feel that way isn’t it? I love all the updates the longer the videos the better. I’ve learnt so much from you, my husband is dreading what I do next with my plants whether it’s more or me changing something 😂
I have read that the best place for a ficus is a north, east or west facing window. Maybe hide the ficus with another plant, if it should stay on that shelf
Girlie, it’s so much easier to just dye your eyebrows, that’s what I do! I get the men’s beard touch up dye and brush it through with a eyebrow brush. Plus it doesn’t stain the skin!
Last Video was so good , I really found that very interesting. Now I'm very curious, did you find homes for all the plants you were giving away? If so I hope it made you feel much better. Really like your videos. Thank you, from Alberta Canada.
I love what I’ve seen of your apartment I’m movin’ soon and my new place is gonna be across between your apartment and the house on the show Charmed That’s my very favorite TV house to the point where if I could afford it I’d have a replica built and live in it🏡💙🔥
I think (i have ADHD) balance is so hard because you know you're not always motivated. So when you are, you want to enjoy it as much as you can. There's just no option to stop and take a rest...... 😅
Do you have a link for those white clips for clipping plant pots to the wire grid in your cabinet? I've been on the hunt for ones that are strong enough to grip a plant pot
to me ADHA really isn't a bad thing it just a different way of thinking and functioning. People talk about it like its this horrible thing and I'm tired of feeling like I'm supposed to not like that part of me and that its something to be ashamed of and fix. Yes its hard to function sometimes with the way our western society functions BUT it also lets me do a lot of the cool things i like to do and learn many things to a very full extent. I cant be the only one that thinks this right?
Not an expert on cacti, but to propagate succulents successfully you DO NOT water them until they develop roots. If aloe has rotten roots, you cut everything off and just stick that thing in dry soil and wait until it has developed roots, then maybe start considering watering. If a Jade drops a leaf, you just put it on DRY soil and a new plant will grow. Same with echeveria. If you water anything that has not developed roots, there's a big chance the thing will rot. Sooooooo..... could watering that cacti thing in every video could be the reason you didn't succeed propagating in the past?

Did you know if a special therapie would be helpful? If heard that untreated ADHD can endanger a relationship
@@DieDieElayes. Behavioral therapy and medication work great together. Both are great on their own as well.
my bf said today that “she’s basically part of the family”…i have you on the tv all day 😌
Any video you've put out has taught us all things. Whether it be your success or your failed attempts at things. So use that to your advantage. You can literally make a video about anything you're doing with your plants, and it'll be a help to someone just learning.

That wood carving was amazing! Great job, Tom!

Claire, from where I sit you are a beautiful person! I'll be watching your channel.
I love your videos! I find that these videos in particular help me with plant burnout and motivate me to do things around the house. Today, I painted my room while watching and listening to your video. Thank you 🙏.
Oh it’s time for my Saturday night chores, I need to have Claire join me 😊. Ty !
Oh my goodness,! What a beautiful, thoughtful gift!! Thats a good friend right there❤

Hi, Claire! Your new pot from the charity shop is so cute, I could picture using it with a bottle shaped container inside.
Love how real this and you are 😍 tea AKA Coffee 🤣☕
When I feel overwhelmed for all of the tasks that I need to take on, I will just focus on one little thing to do. It doesn’t feel so overwhelming that way. and once I get started, I just keep going. I kind of trick myself.😂
I got stuff done! Cleaned my kitchen and watered most of my succulents. Thanks for the company. ❤
Tom did an awesome job on The Jungle Haven carving. I love it 💕
Thanks for the video Claire, your plants are looking lovely ✌️🩷
You are an amazing person, stay with us!

You got some planty things done. Good for you. Love your videos. Hi Jolie and Ross😊
Love, totally the same way.
Thank u for ur video ❤ from Australia
Great video as always Claire xx
Thank you for another awesome video. As you shared one of your favourite plants shops I will share one of mine 'plants for all seasons' they have a great selection at great prices 😁🌿
Hey, when you use velcro tape the soft side should go next to the plant to avoid causing any damage😊😊😊
I just chopped & propped an old Florida ghost. The leaves were tiny & all green. Hopefully they root in the moss 🤞🏼

I also did some pollination a few weeks ago (Orchids: cybidium x phalaenopsis) It worked really well and I am so happy about it🤩
I just recently stumbled upon your channel and love your videos so much!

You might as well spread the rug out and use it as a porch rug!!❤
Soilninja are selling the towerpots in a set of 5 in very different sizes
Hi Claire, try o put your Shivereana in a self watering pot
I love what I’ve seen of your apartment I’m movin’ soon and my new place is gonna be across between your apartment and the house on the show Charmed That’s my very favorite TV house to the point where if I could afford it I’d have a replica built and live in it🏡💙🔥
I find my Ficus Shivereana likes to be more moist than all of my other ficus so maybe put it in more moisture retentive substrate!
I cleaned my gross watering cans while I watched!
My vote would be for lowland rain forest. However if there was an option for bog bio.
As it would be a crossover of several of these.
I think (i have ADHD) balance is so hard because you know you're not always motivated. So when you are, you want to enjoy it as much as you can. There's just no option to stop and take a rest...... 😅
My raphidophora foraminifera does this too: new leaf unfold with black stripes
Also I think your R foramifera marks on the new leaf *are* the fenestrations?
❤❤❤
Castor Oil hexane free for your eyebrows. Preferably organic and in a dark glass bottle.
The big container with the diamond pattern on it looks like something a cobra would pop out of I’d put a snake plant in it🌱🐍
Sorry second question haha do you use any of the excess water in your bucket that you use when watering or do you just get rid of it after?
Also, do you have Naphcon A in the UK? Those are my favorite allergy eye drops
Sorry. I’m in my cups 😂
Looks like my parisio verdre
Tetraspermas don’t need a moss pole. A stake will do fine. ( mine grew 17 feet on bamboo stake) granted I have awesome light in my home.
Do you have a link for those white clips for clipping plant pots to the wire grid in your cabinet? I've been on the hunt for ones that are strong enough to grip a plant pot
IKEA has good ones.
Hello Claire from Puerto Rico!!! Like your relaxing videos!! Just started my plant channel and would appreciate your support. Thank you!! 🙋🏼♀️🪴🌵👍🏻
Can someone explain to me why you have to take moss off of the roots?
What can I use to keep cats away from my windows??
to me ADHA really isn't a bad thing it just a different way of thinking and functioning. You said your eyebrows felt like plastic That’s what I think of when I think of lamination💀😂
I know one thing I’ll never have a tissue culture mini Monstera I’m not payin’ for a plant with deformed leaves💀🙄😒
👫
Looks like Sansevieria Whitney
I know that Autism Burnout is a thing, and I wonder if ADHD Burnout is also a thing? I have a kid with each and they both really seem to cycle.
I would discourage cactus/succulent grafting as you can really rather easily spread viruses between plants this way.
Not an expert on cacti, but to propagate succulents successfully you DO NOT water them until they develop roots. Sooooooo..... could watering that cacti thing in every video could be the reason you didn't succeed propagating in the past?
Your skin is looking great! Also have you tried castor oil for your eyebrows? 🙃💚🪴
