This is a song which is typically sung as 'suprabhata' to Lord Venkateswara of Tiruppati. The Lord Venkateswara is like a King. And, it is a typical thing to address the king three times as the king comes into the court. Shri Annamacharya has structured the kriti as if he is addressing the Lord coming into the court where thousands of devotees are waiting. And, he is addressing the Lord three times. Kamala : The usage of this term in the anupallavi is beautiful.'Kamala' is used a total of eight times in the Anupallavi. "Srimannarayana" in sanskrit is called "Ashtakshara" - the mantra with 8 letters in it. This emphasizes the clues the poet has left for the reader to cherish.

He, who tells these eight syllables, attains full life without any blemish. He would attain salvation after becoming the lord of the people and be blessed with lots of wealth, lots of cows and all other forms of wealth. " Narayana Upanishad, Krishna Yajur Veda Note: The number of syllables indicates the house in our natal chart which it activates. The Ashtakshari Maha Mantra Om Namo Narayanaya , activates the 8 th house which is a moksha sthana . Thus Om Namo Narayanaya chanted 108 times daily removes our sins and takes us closer to Moksha. I think this is the main reason for choosing this particular raga for Suprabhathams. The word Suprabhatham itself means Auspicious Morning and Raga Bowli -a Bakthi Rasa pradhana raga is chosen for tuning most of the Suprabathams. Listening to Raga Bowli in the dawn transforms the morning mood to be one of serenity and sacredness. Bowli calms the turbulent mind and promotes relaxation and prevents the effects of chronic stress, promotes emotional well being and maintains positive mental health to begin the day. Discussion:
This stanza cleverly describes the incredible use of the same word Kamala in various contexts to describe Lord Vishnu. A couple of things that need to be explained are Kamaleshana and the word Kamala.
First let us look at Kamala. The word Kamala is Lakshmi while Kamalamu is lotus. It is really challenging to distinguish where Annamayya meant Lakshmi and where he actually meant the flower Lotus. I chose the word that best described the essence of this keerthana. It is unto the discretion of the reader.
Kamalakshudu means one with lotus eye; kamalekshana means one who is the imperishable lotus. In other words, Akshi means eyes but AksheeNamu means imperishable.

Discussion:
In this stanza Annamayya uses the word "Parama" in different contexts to describe Narayana. Also notice the various forms he describes :Parama Purusha;Paraatpara,Paramatma, paramanu. If we look at the order, he starts off with paramaPurusha or Supreme man/person, then parAtpara or supreme being, then comes Paramatma,the supreme soul and finally comes paramanu, the atom. This emphasizes the clues the poet has left for the reader to cherish.

"There is one syllable in “Aum”. There are two syllables in “Nama”. There are five syllables in “Narayanaya” Together is formed the eight syllabled “Aum Namo Narayanaya”. He, who tells these eight syllables, attains full life without any blemish. He would attain salvation after becoming the lord of the people and be blessed with lots of wealth, lots of cows and all other forms of wealth. "

Note: The number of syllables indicates the house in our natal chart which it activates. The Ashtakshari Maha Mantra Om Namo Narayanaya , activates the 8 th house which is a moksha sthana .
