RIP Alkaline one of the greatest to do it from these shores and one of the reasons why the UK scene was so great late 80s early 90s, Gunshot smashed it among some 0ther great crews. Will be sorely missed.
I've always loved hip hop & I remember my mate Diesel playing me "Patriot Games" when it came out but the reason I'm here is because of the NAPALM DEATH connection. I will go & check out some CZARFACE & JEDI MIND TRICKS later though & add them, some GUNSHOT, NON PHIXION, RUN THE JEWELZ & IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE to a hardcore hip hop playlist I have in mind. Just the hardcore shit though. Does anybody know of rap / hip hop acts with an approach that would soot an anarchist into hardcore, grindcore, crustpunk, d-beat etc? I'd be very honoured. Peace
Absolutely magnificent piece of work brilliant then brilliant now the youtube wannabees around now need to check this and get back to the drawing board!
was this napalm death? if so two great british greats (sic). still have the machete hoodie, from a gig at the edinburgh venue. god bless them and the other great brit crews, brotherhood, hijack etc
@FonkyShitProductions Actually it's not the ND guitarist but the bassist, Shane Embury But who cares anyway, great song ! And the BoldThrower cap is a killer :D
@sleepysidney totally totally 110% agreed with your comment!!!!! Im sick of stepping on to london buses & havin my lugholes polluted on loud speaker by utter shit urban 'ring tone' crap! Gunshot along with hijack, blade, london posse was true brit grit....
You know it's sick!!!! This is when UK hip hop was trying to be and do something robust. This makes modern U.K hip hop seem like either little mugs trying to emulate the U.S, or little mugs who have somehow acquired a laptop and have decided to pretend to be something that they're not with little talent ideas or vision. Put this up against NDubz. Pfff!!!!
@coolshit28 Where was the show? I saw them support Senser at The Venue in New Cross (I think). I somersaulted off the stage and somehow landed on my feet during Gunshots set.
