What i really loved about these guys was their conscious effort to not sound like they were from New York or LA. They represented the true voice of black London.
Hence why I find it hard to listen to other old school UK hip hop artists like Hijak and that. Their American sounding accents are so forced and awkward. I much prefer the beats over the vocals when it comes to acts like them.. But London Posse? Whole different kettle of fish, mate. Love the vocals and the beats..

Before grime and drill music. We had London Posse creating a whole new way of delivering UK Hip Hop. We didnt have to copy the Americans because we already had a rich history in the UK, and these guys made me proud to be from London. It just worked, and it influenced so many other hip hop artists across the UK to embrace their Britishness.
What’s crazy if I had listened to this in 1993 when I was 14. I wouldn’t have rated this cos of the English accent even tho am British but now in 2021 . I so appreciate this
Possibly the greatest group ever from the UK and definitely one of the best groups worldwide in my opinion. London Posse had lyrics, beats, flows, concepts, style, swagger, originality, creativity and just all around mad flava.
I definitely rate Black Twang but not as highly as London Posse. Black Twang was a level below them, more comparable, skill-wise, with Gunshot, Jehst, Lewis Parker and so on. To me London Posse was above them all. And I mean the best London Posse tracks were better than the best tracks the others made. But they all had great skills.
I remember seeing London posse in concert back in October 1988 Brixton Academy, killed it and they were the warm up, I haven't really heard this version as I've always listened to the ragga mix, it was wicked to hear how the lyrics are different, thats what you called Genius
Nah...Silver Bullet, Gunshot, Hardnoise, Killa Instinct and Hijack pissed all over them to be honest. None of them really got the recognition they truly deserved.

The London Posse reunion show at the Jazz Cafe last night was immense. Easily the best show of the last 10 years if not more. Bionics reaction to the whole thing was Very emotional and they both killed it. They still have a few more dates so if there is still tickets and you didn't reach last night then i would say go if you have any passing interest in the history of UK Hip Hop

It amazes me how UK Rap totally took over UK Hip Hop and those originally in the UK Rap scene were rapping like Americans. London Posse were way ahead of their time and now UK Drill is a global movement.
