Fantastic Album!!! I was at this performance standing just to the right of the leftmost speaker stack, in front of Rick Witkowski. Later he performed a Jimi Hendrix solo, using a drumstick on his strings, and he threw it to me after he was done. I still have it. I went berserk! My voice was a frog croak at the end of the night, from all my cheering. The Inner Harbor, Charles Street, and Crack the Sky were my contentments as a young man in Baltimore.
This is soooo Painters Mill. I was at this show. I was lucky enough to get a copy of this incredible concert at a record show in Annapolis, Maryland only a few weeks after. I still have that guy. I would not part with it for anything. This is the intro. Some 5000 live concerts and most of my hearing gone I have to say as far as lead ins to what was an absolute incredible show this is in the top 3 or 4. The use of the psychedelic loop track of Across the Universe was nothing short of haunting!
Best wishes are John on your speedy recovery, you have given us all so very much. The main stream music critics never did get it. Your fans did and still do, Crack The Sky will always mean so very much to all of us your fans yesterday, today and tomorrow. We look forward to your return. Doug of Wilmington Delaware
This was Painters Mill, I was at this show, and i was sitting a few rows in front of the guy filiming so this footage is like a flashback, it was the view i had -
Is this Painter's mill? I seem to recall that a huge floor standing-area with coliseum seating on the outboard walls up to the ceiling where this video is being filmed from, was HammerJacks. HammerJacks was the place with muddy parking on concert nights, because only the close-in parking was paved. HammerJacks never burned down, as far as I am aware.
It's good to be loved.
Crack the Sky is loved.
